Mulberry Place is located in Saffron Walden,
a large market town in the beautiful county of
Essex. Surrounded by a combination of idyllic
rolling countryside, notable buildings and
local amenities, this picturesque town boasts
everything needed for modern living whilst
retaining its unique sense of history. Saffron
Walden was voted in the top 5 of Halifax’s
‘Best Places to Live’ survey.
The town offers shoppers fantastic opportunities to meet everyday needs,
featuring boutique style outlets in addition to the renowned high street
brands. A bi-weekly market is also held, offering clothing, food and local
farm produce.
Truly spoilt in local facilities, Saffron Walden benefits from a gym,
swimming pool, courts used for squash, tennis and badminton as well as
the local leisure centre and a bowling club. Family fun for all can be found
within the town’s skate parks and famous hedge maze at Bridge End
Gardens. To take a step back in history, why not visit Audley End House
and Gardens which offers the chance to experience one of England’s
grandest stately homes and learn more about the Victorian lifestyle. The
Common is one of the oldest of Saffron Walden’s open spaces and to the
east is the largest turf labyrinth still surviving in Europe. Children of all
ages enjoy following the path through the turf, which winds for about one
mile within a circle 100ft in diameter.

There is a wealth of schools across the area. With numerous Pre-schools to
higher education colleges, there is no shortage of finding somewhere to
study. GP Practices, dentists, and opticians are also broadly available and
a community hospital is nearby.
This picturesque rural town is situated a short drive from the M11 (Jct 9),
in the rolling Essex countryside. The serene setting boasts excellent links
to Cambridge, being just 15 miles to the north of Mulberry Place. It is also
only 2 miles to Audley End railway station which can whisk you to London
in just over an hour and Stansted Airport in 15 minutes amongst other
notable destinations. Saffron Walden offers 39 local bus services to choose
from, meaning travelling locally is effortless.

Leave the M25 at junction 16 and join the M11 signposted Stansted, Harlow,
Cambridge.
Leave the M11 at junction 9 signposted Newmarket, Norwich.
Take the next slip road exit at junction 9a following signs for Saffron Walden.
At the roundabout take the third exit towards Saffron Walden passing back
under the A11.
Continue ahead at the next roundabout onto the B184.
Continue ahead over a further two roundabouts into Saffron Walden.
Continue past the monument on the left and then turn left at the mini
roundabout onto Debden Road.
Continue ahead at the traffic lights and you will find us situated shortly after on

From M11 Southbound

At the roundabout take the first exit onto the A505.
