The ‘Love Moscow’ Charity Concert 2012 was held at the Radisson Slavyanskaya Hotel on the 31st of March, and saw 700 attendees.
This charity concert is one of three concerts under the ‘Love Russia’ movement, a movement that aims to create a sense of awareness
amongst the students regarding the needs and challenges present in society today and how everyone can make a difference.
The concert, themed ‘Because Of You’, successfully raised a total of 150,000 rubles (RM15,000) for ‘Trust’ Charity Fund, a non-profit
organization that provides basic support and assistance to individuals and families facing struggles and challenges in society. Another
50,000 rubles (RM5,000) was raised for a local poverty stricken family of four children.
The concert began with an opening act by two Malaysian medical students, impressing the audience with their powerful vocals in an
Adele medley. The audience was later entertained by a music battle between a Malaysian pianist and a Russian violinist; performing a

Impromptu’ by Chopin, ‘Flight of the
Bumblebee’ by Rachmaninoff and Vivaldi’s
‘4 Seasons’. The crowd reacted with loud
cheers as the performers wowed them
with their musical skill and showmanship.
Other performances included the Russian
rock band, NUTEKI with their electrifying
songs off their new album, and 2
professional dance crews, SAVED and
DANCE CRAFT, both delivering upbeat
and energetic performances.
Appreciation cer tificates were also
handed out to the 41 teams of Malaysian
Fellowship’s Humanitarian Missions in
2011, which consisted of a total of 500
volunteers to who went to 11 countries
in Asia and impacted approximately
25,000 people.
Andrew Kok, the director of Malaysian
Fellowship came on stage to inspire and
challenge future doctors to make a
difference by giving to those who can
never give back, to serve those who are
poor and in need, and above all, to show
genuine love , concer n and social
responsibility to all people regardless of
religion, race, ethnicity and gender.

Back in Moscow for the second time,
Malaysian Idol singing coach, Juwita Suwito
amazed the audience with two inspiring
songs, ‘Leading Change’ and ‘Every Little
Smile’. Featured at the concert was also
Malaysian-born superstar, Rynn Lim with
his hit singles ‘Kao An’ and ‘Kan Wu Nv’,
leaving the crowd wanting for more. He
also performed a duet of the song
‘Melodi’ with Juwita.
The concert came to a close as a group
of Malaysian student performers united
with Juwita on stage once more to sing
Michael Jackson’s classic, ‘We Are The
World’ in multiple languages.
Indeed, the concert made an impact in
the lives of many. Over 150 people signed
up for MF Humanitarian Missions 2012,
pledging to give their time to serve the
community in the upcoming summer
holidays. Everyone left that night with
smiles on their faces and a new
determination to make a difference in the
lives of others.
