CHAPTER - STRAIGHT
FROM THE SADAGOPANS

recollect that the housewarming ceremony
and the first birthday of their second son
coincided in the same week. Since then, the
festive spirit has continued and the couple
is happy to share the experiences of
residing in their apartment for the last one
month.
In a candid manner, the Sadagopans confess
that they had their share of apprehensions
in the waiting period but after seeing the
end product and having got their apartment
on time, they are very happy about residing
The disadvantages such as property-related
aspects include usage of common lighting
and facilities which come into effect only
after a critical mass is generated in certain
housing projects. However, the Sadagopans
have a different story to tell as they were
touched by the gesture of lit corridors and
small acts like the garbage picker religiously
coming all the way to their floor to collect
the wastes from their doorstep. They use
the word “pampered” to describe the royal
treatment that they have received so far in
PBEL City.
Standing tall next to its neighbours
Platinum and Titanium, Aurum is the
reigning centre of activity in PBEL City. It is
the third tower for which the deliveries
have briskly begun. The backend support
teams have been literally running from pillar
to post, ticking off the items in the checklist
and putting in their best efforts to ensure
the on time delivery of apartments to the
customers. The Sadagopans will vouch for
this very fact as they are the first family to
move into Aurum. Let’s find out how the
journey has been so far for this young
family.
Reminiscent of courtyards in the Chettinad
heartland, the beautifully ornate jhoola in
the living room of their apartment is an
antiquarian’s delight. Their home is a right
mix of modernity and tradition with the
jhoola and neatly done woodwork that
leaves a calming effect on the beholders.
Adding to the lucid interiors, the soft
breeze wafting into the balcony makes a
great premise for an exciting rendezvous
with the Sadagopans on a sultry April
evening.
Sadagopan Raghavan, Madhuvanthi and
their bundles of joy, Vaghul and Atul, make
a picture perfect family. They happily

in the abode of their dreams. Having lived in
a gated community before, they had their
set of expectations about living in PBEL
City. They have been pleasantly surprised by
the level of end-to-end coordination among
the teams starting from Sales to Customer
Support and Engineering to Propcare. After
witnessing the methodical and processdriven approach of PBEL City, they realized
that their initial anxiety was totally
unfounded.
Peaceful and green environs, low levels of
noise, fully-functional amenities and most
importantly a play school for the younger
kid within the community and reputed
schools in the vicinity were some of the
deciding factors for the couple to choose
PBEL City. They are particularly thrilled by
the extended balcony in their apartment
and the view it will offer once the
clubhouse construction is completed.

It was quite amazing for them to recognize
the efforts of the ground staff such as the
electrician and plumber who diligently
attended to their requirements. Generally,
the first movers have their set of
advantages and demerits. The merits
include first-hand knowledge of the
property and detecting errors much before
others can observe.
This has been the story so far for the
Sadagopans. Forever, they will have a
special place in the chronicles of PBEL City
for being the first family residing in Aurum.
Congratulating them once again on their
sweet home, PBEL City looks forward to
welcome more families and enhance the
vibrancy factor of this lakeside community.

THE GUARDIAN ANGELS THE PROPCARE TEAM
When natural beauty and human
intervention go hand in hand, the end result
is a perfectly coordinated spectacle called
PBEL City. Behind everything that looks
prim and proper, there is a team that works
endlessly and tirelessly round-the-clock to
facilitate better quality of life in this
community. From the water gushing
through the faucets, the efficient power
backup, the well-maintained lawns to the
properly maintained amenities and
infrastructure, there is an active band of
people who run the show. One must have
run into some of the recognizable faces
who work hard to make lives comfortable
for all the stakeholders in PBEL City starting
from the employees to the residents. This is
an attempt to introduce this set of unsung
heroes, to be precise the Propcare team.
Team. Saji from Golden Star is the
supervisor for technical issues as well as
operation and maintenance of the property.
The entire bandwagon of housekeeping
supervisors along with 16 housekeeping
boys and the technical team - consisting of
10 members - work towards making
everyday life comfortable for the PBELites.
As everyone enjoys a goodnight’s sleep, the
security personnel with two supervisors,
K.V. Singh and Govardhan along with the
reporting team of 16 guards ensure a safe
and secure environment for the denizens of
PBEL City. Naresh is the genial Helpdesk
Executive who is stationed at the Platinum
Lobby, a familiar voice on the Intercom too.
Narsimha is another person one cannot miss
as he is always greeting with a friendly
smile. He is probably the Man Friday for
PBEL City and knows the property inside
out and goes the extra mile in helping
people.
If not for the consistent efforts of this
industrious team, PBEL City would not be
the same as it is today. From handling issues
on a regular basis, maintaining the upkeep
of the property, organizing entertaining
Venkat Mantha is the Propcare Head who
has varied experience of working with the
Air Force and GVK EMRI in the past.
Considering his career path so far,
emergency management and immaculate
precision in execution are not something
new to him and he has adopted a proactive
approach to set things in the right direction.
Naveen and Lakshmi Narayan Reddy are the
other two key members of Propcare who
have a wide range of experience in working
for facility management teams in the
corporate sector. Srikanth is the man
behind the beautiful greenery in PBEL City.
A qualified horticulturist, he knows and
understands a great deal about plants,
landscaping and fruit-bearing trees. This
core team supervises all the activities

does it all. This little preamble is an attempt
to congratulate the team for its excellence
in maintaining high standards of PBEL City.

THE CHANGE MAKERS
Indis Foundation is the Corporate Social
Responsibility (CSR) wing of PBEL Property
Development (India) Pvt. Ltd. The vision of
Indis Foundation is sustainable
development of the poor and the needy
through the contribution of PBEL and its
other corporate initiatives. Since its
inception in 2008, this foundation has been
involved in various activities such as
awareness generation programs, women
empowerment & community development
initiatives, skill training initiatives,
environmental consciousness development
programs, income generating schemes for
better livelihood of the underprivileged as
well as programs in collaboration with
NGOs and Charitable Foundations. Around
5000 people have been benefitted through
60 and more social initiatives of PBEL-Indis
Foundation.
Every PBELite should be proud for the
good work that is being done by Indis
Foundation as each one of us has been
responsible for it directly or indirectly.

Biodiversity Awareness Campaign
In Q1 of 2014, Indis Foundation had conducted initiatives such as Biodiversity Awareness
Campaign at Hydershakote and Kismatpur villages of the Peeramchervu region on February
22 and 24, 2014. As part of the awareness program, a wide range of activities including
science exhibition, drawing, essay writing competitions as well as debates were conducted
in Srinidhi Concept School, Hydershakote and Little Scholars High School, Kismatpur.
Skill Training Program
In collaboration with Skills Academy, Indis Foundation started a Skill training program in
March, 2014 for the educated unemployed youth to provide immediate employment
opportunity. Sponsored by NSDC-Govt. of India as part of Standard Training Assessment and
Reward (STAR) Program, Indis Foundation was selected as the Local Training Resource
partner(LTRP) in organizing this program in the Metro region. Currently, 62 participants are
undergoing this skill training program on “Retail Trade Assistant” at ECIL area.

Construction of world-class Sports Arena is

Compost pit
It is an environmentally friendly solution for
turning kitchen wastes and other organic
waste materials into soil manure. Currently,
10 residents are actively using the 8'x5'
compost pit and approximately 600 to 800
kilograms of manure can be produced to
benefit 400 square feet of greenery.

Current status of the progressive
construction activity of THE SQUARE, the
central clubhouse in PBEL City.
Access Road
Under the aegis of Engineering and
Propcare teams in PBEL City, construction
of the access road is in full swing.
Kachradaan
This is a generous endeavour of the
residents in PBEL City. As part of this
wonderful initiative, reusables such as
books, clothes, toys and electronics as well
as recyclables including plastics, paper,
glassware and e-waste are donated on the
last Sunday of every month.
