Foreword
Chubb Insurance is delighted to once again support Salon Privé for the
seventh year as the Concours d’Elégance sponsor. Without question, Salon
Privé is one of the most exclusive occasions in the motoring calendar and,
as a leading insurer of the oldest classics to the rarest supercars, it is the
perfect event for us to sponsor.
Salon Privé is a quintessentially English affair. A stunning setting, glorious
vehicles and wonderful hospitality are all offered to you and your guests.
Whether you be an avid collector of classics, drive a supercar or simply
admire the beautiful machines, there will be something for everyone at
the 2015 Salon Privé. What could be more pleasurable than savouring the
elegance of a classic Ferrari, whilst sipping Pommery champagne?
Over the past years, we have been delighted that many Chubb clients have
entered the Concours (several with great success) and we’ll be encouraging
more to enter for 2015. As always, the Salon Privé team will ensure that
entering a car or a bike in the event will be effortless.
We know that all cars are not created equal – and neither are Concours
events. Salon Privé will give you and your guests an exceptional experience,
so we do hope that you’ll join us for a most memorable day.

C el ebr ati ng Ten Years Of S alon Privé
Welcome to the Tenth Edition of Salon Privé, the UK’s premier Supercar Show
& Concours d’Elégance.
Now, in celebrating our Tenth Anniversary, we are about to raise the bar even
higher with a move to a spectacular new venue widely regarded as ‘Britain’s
Greatest Palace’; Blenheim Palace.
Salon Privé will carry over all of the attributes that have made it such a
popular occasion with UK as well as international owners and collectors. It
retains its convivial atmosphere and exquisite hospitality that it has always
been so renowned for and it remains a place where old friends meet and new
friendships are forged.
With a new layout and more space to allow for larger and more frequent
parades, the Chubb Insurance Concours d’Elégance will come to life on the
South Lawn of Blenheim Palace on Thursday 3rd September. Whether you are
an entrant or an enthusiastic visitor, the stage is set for a sensational event and
so we look forward to seeing you there.
Best Wishes,
Andrew Bagley
Concours Chairman

History
Blenheim Palace is a spectacular Stately Home situated in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, and was a gift from Queen Anne and a grateful nation to the 1st Duke of Marlborough following his famous
victory at the Battle of Blenheim in 1704. It remains the principal residence of the Duke of Marlborough and it is the only non-royal, non-episcopal, Stately Home in England to hold the title
of ‘Palace’. One of England’s largest houses, it was built between 1705 and 1722 and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. It was designed by the famous architect Sir John
Vanbrugh in the rare English Baroque style and is surrounded by over 2,000 acres of ‘Capability’ Brown landscaped Parkland and stunning Formal Gardens which represent a perfect example
of the English landscape garden movement and style.
Famed as the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, Blenheim Palace is one of the country’s finest and most spectacular Stately Homes and currently home to the 12th Duke and Duchess of
Marlborough.
Fa c ilities
The South Lawn of Blenheim Palace provides the perfect setting for the newly configured Salon Privé. Allowing the event to be fully enclosed and private whilst the Palace and Formal Gardens
remain open to the general public, clearly demonstrates the flexibility of the venue. Visitor access to the event area is a short walk via the Snake gate which connects directly with the parking
area. A separate entrance is available for speedy and efficient set-up and dismantle.
Accessibilit y
Blenheim Palace is situated in the picturesque and historic town of Woodstock, 8 miles North West of Oxford on the A44 Evesham Road, approximately one hour’s drive from both London and
Birmingham. Stratford-upon-Avon is only 45 minutes away and locations such as Manchester and Leeds now become easily accessible. Approaching Oxford on the M40, exit at junction 9 and
follow signs to Blenheim Palace. From other directions take the A44 exit from the Oxford by-pass. There is unlimited free car parking at the venue. The nearest main line train station is Oxford
which is approximately 20 minutes away and shuttles will be available to take exhibitors and guests to and from the event. For those attending from further afield, there is the option of arriving
by helicopter or indeed private jet with Oxford Airport and the smaller private airport 5 minutes away, making the event more accessible for both UK and overseas guests than ever before.
Lo ca l A menities
Salon Privé is set to become a destination event; an event to which people drive and should they wish, stay overnight in 1 of the 40 plus local hotels. Historic Woodstock, with its beautiful
boutique shops, restaurants and hotels, sits alongside Blenheim Palace and is just a short walk from the event.

FIVA
The Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens (FIVA) is the worldwide
organization dedicated to the preservation, protection and promotion of
historic vehicles and related culture.
FIVA was founded in 1966 as a response to an idea formulated by a handful
of organisations who represented the interests of historic vehicle enthusiasts
from a number of different countries. These founders felt that an international
body was needed to promote and guide the interests of the historic vehicle
movement throughout the world. Since then, FIVA has become a truly
international body, welcoming organisations from more than 62 countries
across 5 continents and representing over 1,500,000 individual enthusiasts.
FIVA holds Salon Privé in very high regard. So high in fact, that we are one of a
handful of events that hold their ‘Category A’ accreditation and the only event
with that rating in the UK.
We are therefore keen for all entrants to hold FIVA ID-Cards for their entry.
However, if you do not have one, please do still submit your vehicle and we
very much recommend you joining FIVA to help them support you and the
entire historic vehicle movement going forward. To apply for a FIVA ID-Card,
please visit the link below for more information:
