November 2011 - Mountain Villas
Welcome to the November issue of View from the
Villas! Our goal is to share with you the exciting
activities that are available to enjoy on your visit to
the Mountain Villas. The newsletter will inform you
about local activities, festivals and attractions, and
also explain recreational activities and guest services
available to you at the Mountain Villas.
November is a transition month as we move from
wonderful fall colors to the promise of winter fun.
The hills are covered with fallen leaves but there is
still great hiking and sight seeing. The city of Duluth
is in full Christmas swing highlighted by the Holiday
Parade and the Bentleyville Light display. We hope
you enjoy your stay and will make plans to visit us
again soon!

At our last visit to the Villa, we hiked local portions of
the Superior Hiking Trail – what a treat! I had no idea
that just a short walk away, are marked hiking trails
that take you over the rivers and through the woods.
The sounds of bubbling brooks, water crashing down
rocky streams, and beautiful fields of grass and trees.
After an hour and half, we ended at the Lake
Superior Zoo – what a great day!
Our trip was in late October, but I’m sure this would
be beautiful any time of year. I’m really excited to
try this hike in May or June. We are continually
amazed at how beautiful the area around the
Mountain Villas are. Come explore our back yard!
