Certain Berkeley City College courses have prerequisites or corequisites. Pre-and-corequisites
are listed in italics below the course title. Courses
with prerequisites, corequisites and recommended
preparation are implemented in accordance with
Title 5 regulations and Board Policy. For more
information about pre-and-corequisites, consult a
BCC counselor. Students who complete prerequisites outside the Peralta District must submit a
copy of an unofficial transcript or grade report
when they enroll.

register at Berkeley City College, College of Alameda, Laney or Merritt colleges for

Enrollment Fees**
The current California community
college enrollment fee for students who
have lived continuously in the state one
or more years is $46 per unit. Out-of
state-students pay $266 per unit (the
cost includes the $46 per unit enrollment
fee). International students pay $272 per
unit, which includes the $46 per unit
enrollment fee, plus a Capital Outlay Fee
up to $144 per year; and a $15 summer
Health Services Fee. All students pay a $2
Campus Center Use Fee. Fees are subject

California State University and help you to earn points on applications to colleges in the UC system. Talk with your counselor
or faculty advisor about alternatives which are best suited to you.

Your Multimedia Arts Classes may require that
you register for a lab. When you enroll using the
Passport registration system, you should enroll in
the course that is listed as “Lab”.The system will
only allow you to register in the Lab part of your
class, even though the class includes a lecture. When you register in the Lab, you enroll
in both parts of the class. Passport designates all

Classes with Passport
Online Registration
1. Apply for Admission
• Go to www.peralta.edu
• Click the Enroll Now link.
• Click the Apply for Admission link.
• Peralta will send you an e-mail
message which tells you how
to log in to your Student Center.
2. Participate in Our Student
Success Program
(Matriculation, Assessment,
Orientation, Counseling
and Advisement)
3. Decide What Classes to Take
• Look through the class schedule
and select uour classes.
• Check BCC's catalog to make sure
you've meet prerequisites.
4. Enroll in Class
• Go to www.peralta.edu
• Click the Enroll Now link.
• Click the Activate My Account link.
• Follow instructions to activate
your account (SSN, DOB), and
set your password.
• Use your User ID and Password
to sign on to your account.
• Click the Student Center link.
• Click the Open Enrollment
Dates link under Enrollment Dates.
• Wnen you can enroll, click the
Add a Class link and follow
instructions.
• To drop a class, click the Drop a
Class link and follow instructions.
5. If You Need Help
• Visit BCC or contact our admissions
office (510) 981-2805. On-site
computers and assistance are
available in our 1st Floor Welcome
Center to help you enroll.
