This book is dedicated to my father, Joseph Clifford McLeod, who taught me about
determination and perseverance and not giving up when the going gets tough.
May he be looking down upon me with pride.
I would also like this book to be an inspiration to my son Michael to show him that when
you have a dream, you can accomplish anything, if you really believe in it.
INTRODUCTION
Thank you for your interest in Medi-Cross crossword puzzles. This book is intended as a
tool for those whose interests are in the sciences of the human body and science in general. It will help to expand individual vocabulary with regards to medical terminology in
a crossword puzzle format.
You will find some of the answers easy and some very difficult. There will also be
repetition of some of the shorter words (this could not be helped) throughout various puzzles but I think you will find the puzzles interesting and educational.
My own experience in creating these puzzles has greatly expanded my vocabulary
and helped me understand many long medical terms and how they were created.
Since the main purpose of this book is to learn, feel free to check the answers pages if
you are stuck on a word and then carry on. This is the way I started doing crosswords
years ago and I still do it today because I am always determined to finish a puzzle I have
started. Have fun!
