Dan Ashton

Dan Ashton is a Junior studying Economics and minoring in Physics. Born in
Canada, he lived in Japan
before settling in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has been a
freshman dorm R.A., an Undergraduate Senator, a student representative on the
Board of Trustees Committee on Finance and the Stanford Daily Board, the
President of Frosh Council, and a member of Los Hermanos and Sigma Nu. This
summer, he is working in San Francisco at McKinsey. Billy Gallagher

Billy Gallagher is a junior majoring in economics from Villanova, PA. He was the
editor in chief of The Stanford Daily from July 2012 to February
2013; in addition
to serving as EIC, Billy held four paid editor positions, including managing editor
of news, and won two major scholarships in two years at the paper. He is
currently the president of Kappa Sigma and a writer for TechCrunch, where he
will work this summer. In his free time, Billy likes reading, running, and cheering
for Philadelphia and Stanford sports teams. Alon Elhanan

Alon Elhanan is a Junior studying Public Policy and minoring in Arabic. He was
born in Afula, Israel and
grew up in Israel and New York City. He has been a
Frosh Council Rep., an Undergraduate Senator, and the President of the Stanford
Israel Alliance. Next year, he will be a freshman RA in Donner and is super
excited to be on cabinet with the rest of you guys! This summer, he is working in
D.C. as a foreign policy intern for Congressman Eliot Engel, NY Ashley Williams
ashwill5@stanford.
Ashley Williams is a Junior studying Human Biology with a concentration in Human
Behavior and Interpersonal Relations. She was born and raised in Washington State, and
embraces her American, Panamanian, and Jamaican cultural identity.
She has been a
singer in Talisman a Cappella, a Stanford Night Outreach and Best Buddies volunteer, a
member of the Sophomore Class Cabinet, a Junior Class President, and the Junior Class
Financial Officer. She is a Bridge peer counselor and a research assistant with the
Affective Psychophysiology Group. This summer, she will be shadowing and volunteering
in a clinic in Trujillo, Peru as well as taking a basic medical skills and medical Spanish
course through the Vive Peru program. While in Peru, she hopes to visit Machu Picchu!
Chase Disher

Chase Disher is an aspiring Mechanical Engineering major in the class of 2014.
he enjoys motorsports racing (including three 24-hour

as an RA in an upperclass dorm, aided in research with the autonomous car

Nu. This summer, he will be Lakemaster at Stanford Sierra Camp but he has
worked for GE Aviation and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in past
summers. In his free time, he often reads, swims, and cheers for New York sports.
Elizabeth Woodson

Elizabeth is a sophomore majoring in Urban Studies and minoring in MS&E to better
understand the intersection of social change and technology.
She is currently a
Mayfield Fellow, working at Telerivet this summer, a San Francisco-based
startup that
allows anyone, anywhere in the world to create their own texting service. Elizabeth
co-produced Snowchella 2013 and is the VPAE of Kappa Kappa Gamma. In addition
to the exec cabinet next year, Elizabeth is excited to be serving on the Stanford Board
of Trustees Committee on Development, writing a Social Impact Column for the
Daily, and living at French House!
Ellora Israni

Ellora Israni is a Junior majoring in Computer Science (Information). Ellora was
Valley, CA, so she didn't move far for school. At
born & raised in Portola
she++, a women in technology movement that has since
Stanford, she co-founded
spread internationally. Ellora is also a CS106 section leader and a member of
senior class cabinet. She previously edited for The Stanford Daily, played club
lacrosse, and studied abroad in Berlin, Germany. She will spend this summer
interning at Facebook in London, England.
Henock Dory

Henock Dory is a Junior double majoring in Political Science and Classics. He
in the Bay Area and
has lived in California for the entirety of his life, starting off
currently residing in Orange Country. During his time at Stanford, Henock has
served as the co-president of the Stanford Democrats, a member of the Stanford
Ethiopian and Eritrean Student Association, an ASSU Senate Associate, and a
member of the Stanford Pre-Law Society and Theta Delta Chi. This summer he
will be heading to Mongolia to teach a seminar on democratic development and
work with an NGO that specializes in democratic consolidation.
Hunter Kodama

Hunter Kodama is a Junior pursuing a major in Public Policy. He was born and
raised in a small town in Southeastern Connecticut. Next year he will be the
Finance Director for Stanford
Dance Marathon and the R.A. in Kappa Sigma, and
carries additional experience from his work as a Peer Advisor in Student
Activities and Leadership, a Freshman Transition Coordinator, and a Junior Class
President for the Class of 2014. He will spend this summer in San Francisco,
while he works in Oakland at Kaiser Permanente.
Kaia Simmons

Kaia Simmons is pursuing a master’s degree in MS&E while completing
her undergraduate degree in Human Biology. Although she was born in Berkeley,
she grew up in Providence, Rhode Island. At Stanford, she competed for the
varsity swim team all four years (and was co-captain of the team her senior year),
she is a teacher's assistant for Engr 103: Public Speaking, a member of BASES,
next year's Vice-President of the Stanford News Readership Program, and a
current Mayfield Fellow. As part of the Mayfield Fellowship Program, Kaia will
be working at a startup in Woodside this summer.
Najla Gomez Rodriguez

Najla Gomez Rodriguez is a low-income-queer-Xicana-organizer studying Civil
Engineering and is a part of the Class of 2014! She is originally from Mexico and more
recently from San Jose, CA. Najla has served as a Frosh Council member, Senate
associate, El Centro Chicano staff member, Admit Weekend Coordinator, NSO
coordinator for the first-gen/ low-income community, MEChA de Stanford organizer,
FLIP Core member, among other student groups and initiatives. She is also a proud
member of Sigma Theta Psi Multicultural sorority. Next year she will be working for the
Diversity and First Gen Office and participating in the Feminist Studies Interdisciplinary
Honors Program. Najla is looking forward to working with the Executive Cabinet. :)
Nina Church

Nina Church is a freshman double majoring in Science, Technology, and Society (STS) and
History. The oldest of four in a household of 22 people, Nina's home life has given her a
passion for teamwork and innovation. In high school, she chaired the San Diego Walk for
Water board, served as ASB president, ran the Model United Nations
team, and was editor-inchief of an experimental political journal. She is a cofounder and spokesperson at the social
enterprise Nika Water, through which she has spread the message of social entrepreneurship to
thousands of youth through news programs, a Tedx speech, university conferences and more.
She is a cofounder of Stanford SENSA. Nina also serves as Larkin Dorm Treasurer and was
recently initiated into Pi Beta Phi. Nina will spend the summer working as a service trips
facilitator in Kenya and Ghana.
Peter Doyle

studying Computer Science as well as Management,
Peter Doyle is a freshman
Science, and Engineering.
He was born and raised in San Francisco. At Stanford,
he plays lacrosse where he was all-league and all-American last year, is a member
of Kappa Sigma, works as a tour guide on campus, and is working at Stanford
Sierra Camp.
Susie Choi

Susie Choi is a rising second-year student (2L) at Stanford
graduated from Stanford with a B.A. in Political Science and
a minor in Creative
Writing in 2012. Susie is a representative on the Graduate Student Council,
contributes to various organizations at the law school, and continues to work with
Green Store and Green Events Consulting, two campus sustainability initiatives
that she co-founded several years ago. This summer, Susie will be working at a
law firm in Texas, where she was born and raised.

Tyler Woods

Tyler Woods is a Junior studying Classics and Public Policy. Born in Southern
California, he has spent most of his time in California, which includes his years in
boarding school while his parents moved to the east coast. At Stanford he as
filled various roles including working for the Black Community Services Center
and the Stanford Calling Center. Next year, he will be the RA in Phi Sig. Tyler is
also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. This summer he will be
working in Frankfurt, Germany for a start-up.
Viraj Bindra

Viraj Bindra is a sophomore from some amalgam of Singapore, India, and
a focus on Humansuburban New Jersey. He's studying Symbolic Systems, with
Computer Interaction. At Stanford, Viraj served on the Undergraduate
Senate, and
participated in Frosh Council and Design For America. He also designs for KZSU
and, previously, the Stanford Daily. This summer, he's working at Nest Labs as a
UX design intern, through a KPCB Design Fellowship.
