Hibachi Steakhouse
The Generation Station is an out of school
program offered to families at no cost.
Mr. Jack Shitama came to visit us
on Tuesday, January 15th to talk to
us about his family and Japanese
heritage. He taught us how to use
chopsticks. We practiced using
them eating rice and hot dogs. In
our culture, it is not good manners
to lift a bowl or plate to your
mouth, but it is in the Japanese
culture.
He also told us about his Japanese
family and the struggles they had
in America during WWII and with
his grandparents being put in an
American concentration camp.
They are so proud to be American
citizens.
The Generation Station is a ministry of the
Chesapeake City Ecumenical Association
and is funded through a partnership with
Cecil Human Service Agency. Additional
funding comes from United Way of Cecil
County and the generous support of
individuals, churches, businesses and
community organizations.

Baybillies Robotics
We are 14 students from Bo Manor High and
a first year team. We are called the Baybillies.
This year we are participating in the FIRST
Tech Challenge with the robots we are building. We split up into several different committees, including the Build Team, Programmers, Spirit Team, and Outreach. We are
trying to make it capable of lifting other robots and able to put rings on the bottom
row of pegs quickly.

At the science center we visited many exhibits and
got to touch dinosaur bones and ancient fossils.
Some students were able to lie down on a bed of
nails. We also got to take part in an experiment on
static electricity.
