from a West Hampstead flower shop, Achillea, became
the inspiration for the packaging of my first range of
toiletries. The multi-coloured bouquet does a merry
dance against my paperweight print.’’

OUR STORY HOW IT ALL BEGAN…
CLARE EMBUREY AND KATE RADAR, THE CREATORS
OF ACHILLEA FLOWER SHOP INTRODUCED US
TO KAFFE FASSETT. A BOUQUET WAS MADE BY
CLARE TO MARK OUR FIRST DESIGN MEETING,
KAFFE’S FAVOURITE FLOWERS WERE SELECTED,
ROSES, DAHLIAS AND THERE WAS A LITTLE BIT OF
ACHILLEA IN THERE TOO FOR LUCK!
WE PLACED THIS VIBRANT AND COLOURFUL
BOUQUET IN THE CENTRE OF THE HEATHCOTE AND
IVORY BOARDROOM TABLE AND KAFFE FASSETT’S
CREATIVE RESPONSE WAS THE STARTING POINT
FOR HIS FIRST COLLECTION, ACHILLEA.

CAPTURED SOME OF HIS FAVOURITE FLORAL
SCENTS IN A UNIQUE FRAGRANCE THAT EVOKES

HONEY
Due to its amino acid, peptide, and
vitamin content Honey helps to protect
and nourish the skin.
MORINGA SEED OIL
Moringa Seed Oil is a nutrient-dense oil,
filled with antioxidants that slow the aging
process down and help curb the activity of
free radicals; it helps remove wrinkles and
prevent the sagging of facial skin.
PRO-VITAMIN B5
Pro-vitamin B5 functions to help a product
retain water thus providing a moisturising
effect in skin products.

Sunflower Oil is the source of vitamin E
and carries similar the benefits.
SWEET ALMOND OIL
Sweet Almond Oil is rich in Oleic and
Linoleic fatty acids and contains vitamins
A, B1, B2 and B6. This oil is widely
used in cosmetic formulations as a skin
conditioning agent due to its penetrating, smoothing,
softening and moisturising properties.
VITAMIN E
Topical application of vitamin E is said to
result in skin smoothening, moisturising
and the prevention of premature
skin-aging. It is a major free-radical
scavenger and, as free-radicals are very damaging to
the skin tissue, it is considered a protector ingredient.
EXHIBITIONS
In 1988 Kaffe became the first living textile artist
to have a one man show at the V & A. The
exhibition attracted such crowds that
the Museum doubled attendance
figures during the run and has
since visited Finland, Holland,
Norway, Denmark, Sweden,
Australia, Canada, USA
and Iceland where 5%
of the total population
attended. Recent
exhibitions of textiles
include the American
Museum in Bath (UK),
Sweden, Denmark,
America and Japan.
CELEBRITIES
Missoni and Bill Gibb
commissioned Kaffe's early
commercial collections, his
one-of-a-kind designs have been
collected by Barbra Streisand, Lauren
Bacall, John Schlesinger, Ali McGraw, Irene
Worth, Shirley Maclaine, Helen Frankenthaler,
Alan Bergman and H.R.H. Princess Michael of Kent.
HONOURS
In 2013, Kaffe was awarded the Turner Medal. This is
awarded by the Colour Group Great Britain to
a distinguished artist or art historian,
honouring Britain's greatest
colourist.

Since 1976 Kaffe has been
the leading designer
of needlepoint kits for
Ehrman Tapestries of
London, one of the
most successful mail
order needlepoint
companies world-wide.
GARDEN CENTRE
GLORY
Hilliers Garden Centres
invited Kaffe to design their
garden for the 1998 Chelsea
Flower Show. The garden
featured his mosaic columns,
planters and a shell grotto and won a
Gold Medal and was written up as
'The trend-setting garden of the year's show.'
