Please read! Very Important announcement!
The HOA board members and the management at Camelot East wanted to give you a security update for
Camelot East.
1. Mosquitoes? There has been questions concerning mosquitoes within the community. We have
contacted Sarasota County division of mosquito treatment and they have assured us that Camelot
East was inspected last month and we are within the reasonable guidelines when it came to mosquito’s
infestation. If there is a need for the county to spray they will let us know ahead of time.
2. 5050 generic code? Beginning October 1, 2016 the 5050 code will not be functioning and will be
eliminated. The HOA board and management have concluded that to keep Camelot East a safe location
for its residents this code needs to be eliminated. Please use your 4 digit code to give out to guests,
vendors and the like. This way we won't have anyone come into the community who might have our
5050 code. If you do not have your own 4 digit code please contact the office so we can enter the code
you want in the system. Please note that no one can enter the community on a generic code any more.
We are sorry for any inconvenience you might have with this change but with an ever changing world in
which we live in these changes needed to be done to protect our residents and their guests at Camelot
East.

September? Christmas is around
the corner?
Happy September! Hopefully more residents will
come back from up north and the weather will drop
to 89 degrees. We have missed everyone this
summer and everyone has enjoyed the pool and air
conditioning!
Can you believe it? This summer
has flown by. We have had several
home sales this summer. Ann
Ditullio has been working double
time by herself in the sales office. John Brown will
be back from vacation soon to continue to provide
his outstanding sales service too.
We are gearing up for the busy season so if you
want to have a private party at the cub house this
means more than 20 people let me know so we
don’t double book the auditorium. Having a private
party is easier than you think. You bring everything
and cleanup afterwards and with $100.00 Deposit
and a copy of your house insurance it’s yours. We
try to set up the tables and get the room ready and
you have all the fun!
Many, many projects have been finished this
summer. The Tennis courts will be done soon and
the dog park ADA ramp should be done within a few
months. Oh those governmental regulations slow us
down! Once it is done it will be awesome. Thanks
again to Terry and Denise Arney for donating the
dog park to the community!
Flo Schuler and I have been working hard on the
HOA rooms and combining all the paper goods.
Now they will all be in one spot and I will be ordering
as needed. If there is a special color you want for
an event let me know at least a month in advance
because some of the colors are special order.
Thanks Flo for all your work on this!
Christmas...quite frankly we feel like its Christmas
all year long here at Camelot East. Thank you to all
the residents and staff who make Camelot East the
#1 place to reside in Sarasota!
I am trying to get a new list together of all the events
and who is in charge and when it is. Please send
me an email or call me directly.

I would like to express our gratitude to the Camelot
East Community and how happy that we live in such
a caring place. The well wishes, prayers and support
during my time of healing from hip replacement
surgery has been wonderful. So many of you
sent cards, phone calls, food, etc…and it all was
so appreciated by both Mike and myself. Thanks
to everyone and we look forward to being able to

Thank you to all the Camelot East residence who

you pleasure, it may be time to get rid of it.
Have you ever noticed how “stuff” seems to multiply?
Many experts claim that we human beings spend Perhaps we bought things over the years to remind
the first third of our lives acquiring the necessary us of places we’ve been and people we met. Maybe

Photographs in albums you never look at, boxes of
them you haven’t gotten around to sorting, multiple
numbers of essentially the same pictures? Tools you
needed for one long ago project, tools you bought
just because you didn’t have them, just in case you
might need them? Have your possessions become
your clutter? What’s weighing you down? What
are the things you think you “SHOULD” keep but
never use? It might be time to stop “SHOULDING”

The Fiesta Italia will be Friday, November 18th. It will
be a five course dinner as follows: Salad, Wedding
Soup, Home Made Cavatelli, Chicken Piccata with
Vegetable, and Dessert. The cost this year will be
$11.00. There will be eight people per table because
this is served family style.
Tickets will go on sale October 18th and 25th for
HOA members and non-members after that.
When clutter fills your home, you can rest assured Seating is limited so make sure you buy your ticket
that it also fills your head. Just devoting even a early.
half an hour each day to de-cluttering a closet or
drawer makes a huge difference. Most people don’t
even realize how much their “stuff” weighs them
down, until they experience the freedom of letting
go of burden of the things which no longer bring
them pleasure. When the excess “stuff” is gone, it’s
amazing how much room there is in our lives for the
things that really matter.

Ladies Nite Out Cruise
Chicken McNuggets.
Would the ladies of Camelot East be interest in
a Ladies Nite Out cruise of the Caribbean from
Tampa? There are 4 and 5 day cruises available
in late January and February. The four day one is
$741 including taxes and port fees and the 5 day
one is $578 with taxes and port fees. For every
ten bookings one is free. There would be a raffle
of the people booked and one, or two if we have
enough, would get their cruise free. If you would be
interested, email Ann DiTullio at forum0205@yahoo.
com or stop me around the community.
They book up fast so we would have to have definite
numbers by the middle of November.
I asked for a half dozen nuggets.
'We don't have half dozen nuggets,' said the
teenager at the counter.
'You don't?' I replied.
'We only have six, nine, or twelve,' was the reply.
'So I can't order a half dozen nuggets, but I can
order six?'
'That's right.'
So I shook my head and ordered six McNuggets
(Unbelievable but sadly true...)
(Must have been the same one I asked for sweetener
and she said they didn't have any, only Splenda and
sugar.)
(And they think they are worth $15.00 per hour)

Perks of reaching 60 or being over 70
and heading towards 80!
1. Kidnappers are not very interested in you.
2. In a hostage situation you are likely to be
released first.
3. No one expects you to run--anywhere.
4. People call at 8 PM and ask, "Did I wake you?"
5. People no longer view you as a hypochondriac.
6. There is nothing left to learn the hard way.
7. Things you buy now won't wear out.
8. You can eat supper at 5 PM.
9. You can live without sex but not your glasses.
10. Your supply of brain cells is finally down to
manageable size.
11. You can't remember who sent you this list.

4th of July Celebration
Do you understand Medicare? OPEN
ENROLLMENT: Oct 15 – Dec 7, 2016
By Arlene Kretzmer
By Lori B. Gaines
We put together a last minute
July 4th picnic/pool party here
at Camelot East. I’d like to thank
the volunteers who assisted me
in making the day so enjoyable for the 80 people
who attended. So thank you to Flo Shuler, Marge
Gushue, Mary Lou Feffer, Virginia Wanager, Pat
Dilion, who also donated a great tortellini salad,
Cherie and Skip Vucek, Jackie and Bob Ruse,
Grace and Bill Schneider. Gracie made a sinful corn
bread that we all enjoyed and Bill worked nonstop
from 9 AM till the party ended. And Rick Rahn, who
was not on my committee but stepped right up and
helped out wherever help was needed. I’d also like
to acknowledge our management for providing all of
our desserts, ice cream, cupcakes and watermelon.
Lastly, there have been so many people who have
taken the time to compliment and thank us for this
party. When you’ve worked hard on something, it’s
so nice to hear that people appreciate it.

Please note the change of color on the map!
The only place you can walk your dog is in
white.
Where can I walk my pet?
This question is the most asked question I have as the
manager at Camelot East and I want to answer it so
everyone understands the boundaries and the rules.
The lots around the circumference of the community are
called PERIMETER lots. Over the years they have been
mistakenly called pet lots. The PERIMETER lots just
happen to be the only lots we allow residents to have pets
in their home without a Doctors order. You do not have to
own a pet to purchase a home on the PERIMETER lots.
The Americans with Disability Act (ADA) mandates that
the community must give “ reasonable accommodations”
to residents who have either a service animal or
companion pet with a Doctors orders to reside on a
NON-PERIMETER lot.
However, those pet owners must abide by the same
rules for pet walking as the PERIMETER home owners
with pets do.
1. As you can see on the map all pets are to be
walked on the designated “White” areas.
2. They are to have their pets on a leash.
3. They must pick up their doggie waste in a plastic
bag.
4. They are to have their pets on a short leash so they
do not have dog waste in someone’s hedges or
flower area beside their homes.
5. The next rule most residents don’t know or don’t
remember... the pet owner can only walk their pet
and have their pet “ do their duty” on PERIMETER
LOTS ONLY! Not on inside lots that are across the
road from PERIMETER lots.
6. A pet owner must carry their pet if they want access
to another PERIMETER area to walk their pet. No
crossing the non- pet areas is allowed unless the
pet is carried or carted to a PERIMETER area.
7. At NO TIME is a pet owner allowed to walk their pets
around the LAKE CAMELOT!
8. Any dog who habitually barks and becomes a
nuisance or a threat to the community and its
residents will be evicted from the community,
regardless if it is a service animal or a companion
pet. Unfortunately, in my career as a manager, I
have had to evict 2 dogs from a community.
9. If habitual violations occur the pet owner can be
evicted from the community because of rules
violations.
10. All immunizations records on their pets must be
kept current and a copy of them must be supplied to
the office to be put into the residents file. This is for
health and safety reasons.
The owners and Management of Camelot East appreciate
each and every home owner. We thank you ahead of
time as you abide by all of the rules of the community.
At your service,
Gail Sterling Manager
