SAMPLE 2 WEEK JUNIOR PROGRAMME - Dublin
Please note that this is a sample programme but can be used as an indicative guide to what activities and visits your group will have while in CES Dublin.
All activities on site are monitored by CES Yellow Shirt staff & teachers. There are a number of different on-site activities daily Monday to Thursday.
Week 1
Sun Group arrives to Dublin Airport and meets Host Families
(Any group that arrives mid-week may be transferred by bus to the
school)
Monday English Language Placement Test (45 minutes)
Welcome Talk given by CES Principal to outline the rules & regulations
of CES (30 minutes)
Class (09.30 – 12.45 Mon – Fri)
Afternoon Orientation Tour of Dublin with CES Teacher
Evening Visit to Malahide (Free)
Tuesday Class – 09.30 – 12.45
Afternoon Sports & Activities on campus
(Sample: Football / Basketball / Volleyball / Table Tennis / Arts & Crafts /
Drama / Video / Irish Dancing)
Evening Visit to Howth - 7.30 – 10pm (Free)
Wednesday Class – 09.30 – 12.45
Afternoon Visit to the Guinness Storehouse with CES Teacher
Evening Shelbourne Park – Greyhound Races (€5 additional cost)
Thursday Class – 09.30 – 12.45
Afternoon Sports & activities on campus
Evening Disco 7.30 – 10pm (Free)
Friday Class – 09.30 – 12.45
Afternoon Free for shopping with Group Leader
Saturday Full day tour to Powerscourt Gardens & Glendalough
Sunday Free with host family / meet with Group
Week 2
Monday Class – 09.30 – 12.45
Afternoon Sports & Activities on campus
Evening Visit to St Anne’s Park for international baseball game
Tuesday Class – 09.30 – 12.45
Afternoon Visit to the National Art Gallery with CES Teacher
Evening Quzar or Bowling (€6 additional cost)
Wednesday Class – 09.30 – 12.45
Afternoon Sports & Activities on campus
Evening Irish Music Evening (€6 additional cost)
Thursday Class – 09.30 – 12.45
Afternoon Visit to Croke Park with CES Teacher
Evening Disco – 7.30 – 10pm (Free)
Friday Class – 09.30 – 12.45
Presentation of CES Certificates
Afternoon Afternoon Free for shopping with Group Leader
Saturday Full day tour to Kilkenny City
Sunday Group transfer to Dublin Airport and return home
