Summer Trip to Prickly Ball Hedgehog Farm
Summer Trip to Prickly Ball Hedgehog Farm –
Thursday 30th June 2016
Today, the children, parents and staff of Stoke Gabriel Preschool went to Prickly Ball
Hedgehog Farm for our summer trip. We had lots of fun and the sun shone for us.
When we arrived we had a little play on the tractors and play area whilst waiting for Ros our
Ranger from Prickly Ball farm to get some small animals out for the children to handle.
Once we managed to move away from the climbing frames we went to meet some animals in
the barn
It was then time to feed some animals....
After playing on the trampoline, getting in the pens with the ‘extra’ large rabbits, having
lunch and bouncing on the bouncy castle it was time to learn about Hedghogs. We realised
they were very cute but also very prickly!
Ros even showed us some baby ones known as ‘Hoglets’. But they were so small they were not
allowed to come out for us to touch.
We then to the Hedgehog garden to see the kind of habitat they like to live in.
We even found a tree to climb!
Finally we ended with a little cuddle of the ferrets before it was time to say ‘goodbye’ to
Prickly Ball Farm.
What a great day we had!
