Dear ATTD Exhibitor, This Exhibitor Services Manual contains important information and is designed to assist you in preparing for the ATTD Exhibition. The Exhibition will be held in conjunction with the 8th International Conference on Advanced Technologies & Treatments for Diabetes, which will be held in Paris, France, February 18 – 21 , 2015. Please read all of the information in this manual. It will take you very little time now could save you a great deal of time later. and The floor plan has been designed to maximize the exhibitor’s exposure to the delegates with posters, lunches and coffee breaks taking place in the Exhibition area.  Empty crates and packaging materials must be removed after set‐up and no later than Thursday, February 18, at noon time.  All aisles must be clear of exhibits and packaging materials to enable cleaning.  Dismantling of the stands before the official closing of the exhibition is not permitted.  Any equipment, display aid or other material left behind after Saturday, February 21, at 22:00 will be considered discarded and abandoned.  It is the exhibitor’s responsibility to dispose of all materials after dismantling. Any charges incurred for waste removal will be sent to the exhibitor Opening Ceremony & Welcome Reception On Wednesday, February 18, you are cordially invited to the Opening Ceremony held in Hall I at 18:30 and to the Welcome Reception held in the Exhibition area, from 19:00. Exhibitors are asked to please man their stands during the Welcome Reception in the Exhibition Hall. Smoking Smoking is not permitted at the 8th International Conference on Advanced Technologies & Treatment for Diabetes ‐ ATTD 2015. 5Page
Please be aware that the E‐ poster area is located in the Exhibition Hall. Delegates might pass through the Exhibition area during off hours in order to arrive to the E‐posters. Therefore, please do not leave any visible valuable articles at your stand. In addition, please consider hiring extra security for your booth after Exhibition operating hours.

Section 3: EXHIBITION SERVICES Exhibitor Registration/Badges All exhibitors are required to register and will receive a badge displaying the exhibiting company name. Specific participant names will not appear on the badge in order that they may be interchanged between exhibitors. Exhibitor badges allow access to the Exhibition area only and shall be used by company staff only. Two exhibitor badges will be given for the first 9 square meters booked and one additional badge for each 9 square meters booked thereafter. Any additional exhibitors will be charged an exhibitor registration fee of €230 Incl. VAT. Companies can purchase a maximum no. of Exhibitor Registrations as follows: Booths of up to 60 sqm – 15 Exhibitor Registrations Booths larger than 60 sqm – 25 Exhibitor Registrations We are happy to inform you that for ATTD 2015, company staff (only) will be entitled to upgrade their Exhibitor’s badge to a Full Registration at a reduced fee of €200 incl. VAT. All exhibitors are entitled to upgrade one badge per booth. Platinum and Gold sponsors are entitled to upgrade 2 Exhibitor badges Diamond sponsors are entitled to upgrade 3 Exhibitor badges. Badges will not be mailed in advance. Service Passes Stand contractors and staff must wear service passes during the entire set‐up and dismantling period. Service passes are free of charge and may be collected from the Exhibition Manager Desk onsite. On Site Exhibition Manager’s Desk The Exhibition Management Desk will be open throughout the exhibition build up, open, and breakdown period. The desk will be located within the Exhibition area. Barcodes on participants' badges contain contact information as supplied by the registrant or the agency responsible for the registration process of that participant. We regret that in some cases, as when group registration is completed by a company, we may not be in possession of the full contact details. Furthermore, in some cases, the participant does not give his permission to transfer his contact details to any other party. Therefore, although he visited your booth and was scanned by your barcode reader, we are unable to forward you his contact details. Stand Catering Section 5: TECHNICAL INFORMATION Exhibition Hall Please note that the Exhibition will be held in Brillant Savarin Hall, on level B of the CNIT congress centre. Floor Additional Stand Fittings & Rental Furniture

All orders after this time cannot be guaranteed, and will be subject to a 10% surcharge Build‐Up Height The maximum building height for the top of all elements in the booth is 3.8 meters. Exhibitors who have stands higher than the maximum permitted height will not be allowed to set up their stands. If you have a platform, please note that if its height is higher than 4.5 cm, you are required to provide a ramp for handicap access. 13Page
The floor in the exhibition hall is carpeted with an orange color carpet as seen above. Stand Design Exhibitors who build their own stands are required to submit a scale drawing, including elevation views, to Michal Lelcuk for approval by Friday, January 16 2015. Please send this information via Email to Michal Lelcuk at: [email protected] All exhibits are to be displayed so as to avoid blocking aisles, obstructing adjoining booths or damaging the premises. Exhibitors are kindly requested to allow sufficient see‐through areas that ensure clear views of surrounding exhibits. If you have a platform, please note that if its height is higher than 4.5 cm, you are required to provide a ramp for handicap access. The Organizers will not approve stands that do not comply with the accepted standards until the necessary changes have been made. Work cannot commence until the exhibitor’s layout is approved by the Organizers. Electricity According to the French regulations, the electrical installations for the exhibition will only be connected to the power supply after being checked and approved by CNIT congress centre representative. To ensure maximum safety, all electrical connections to the power supply may only be carried out by the official contractor. Free Wi‐Fi is available in public areas of the CNIT, i.e. outside Session Halls, in between levels and outside the exhibition (Brillant Savarin 1+2+3). In order to maximize the internet connection in the exhibition hall ,exhibitors are welcome to order wired internt connections for their booths. Internet Customs Clearance, Freight Handling & Onsite Logistic Services For security, insurance, and efficiency reasons, Hermes‐Merkur is the sole official agent for any onsite activities such as onsite handling. Exhibitors who use their own shipping facilities to the venue are requested to coordinate a time schedule with Hermes‐Merkur for unloading their cargo into the venue. Please Note: In order to assure receipt of sent materials, our official shipping agent, Hermes‐Merkur, must receive the Pre‐Advise found at the end of this manual. Please complete this form and return it to: zehavitak@hermes‐exhibitions.com. You will then receive confirmation of your material arrival. All shipments and deliveries, including by courier, must be coordinated with Hermes‐
Merkur. We kindly ask you not to send any material before your arrival date to the CNIT as it cannot be accepted. Loading Doors Please note that the loading doors are 2 meters high and are 3 meters wide. Parking The Visitors paying Car Park (height limitation of 1.9o meters) is located on level (‐4). Entry to and exit from this car park is via passages located near the North point of the building beside Avenue de la Devision Leclerc. The Delivery/exhibitors car park (height limitation of 2.60 meters) is located on level (‐3). Entry to this car park is via rue Carpeaux; exit from the car park is via the West gate of CNIT. Parking for trucks is not available. The Organizers will provide general security guard services in the Exhibition Hall during closing hours. Neither The CNIT nor the Organizers can accept responsibility for security of the stands and their contents or damage to and theft of any goods. Section 6: EXHIBITION RULES AND REGULATIONS ‐‐‐These rules are binding for all exhibitors and their subcontractors‐‐‐ Build‐Up & Dismantling Period During the period of build up and dismantling, it is prohibited to consume alcoholic beverages in the working area as well as to perform work under the influence of alcohol and drugs. Damage to the Premises Exhibitors are liable for all damage caused to floors, walls and pillars during the installation, exhibition and dismantling periods. No adhesive stickers and fixtures of any kind are allowed on floors, walls and pillars. Disposal of Material It is obligatory to collect and dispose of all material during the breakdown or dismantling of the event. When the dismantling period is over, the exhibitor loses any right to claim for losses or damage to property left behind and any costs incurred by the venue in removing this property will be charged to the exhibitor. General Fire Regulations Stand material and fittings must be of non‐inflammable materials or impregnated with fire‐retardant chemicals. As a general rule, easily inflammable synthetic substances, foam polyester, and non‐fireproof straw and reeds are prohibited. Fire Insurance (compulsory) Exhibitors must be insured against fire. Participation by exhibitors is dependent upon compliance with all rules, regulations and conditions stated herein. Hanging of Posters, Banners etc. Hanging of posters, banners or decals, stickers or similar things, on the walls, floors, ceilings or columns within or outside the installations of the venue are not allowed without a prior written authorization. Insurance (compulsory) While every reasonable precaution will be taken to protect the Exhibitors ’ property while on display at the Exhibition, it must be clearly understood that neither the Organizers nor the CNIT, their representatives or agents will be held responsible for any loss or damage to exhibitor’s property. Exhibitors must take precautions to protect their property against pilferage. You are also responsible for insuring against any legal liability incurred in respect to injury or damage to property belonging to third parties. In addition to this, you should protect your expenditure against Abandonment and Cancellation or curtailment of the event due to reasons beyond our control. Please ensure that you have adequate insurance cover for the duration of the event. 19Page
Liability Companies are responsible for all damage to property and for any loss or injury caused by them or their agents or employees and will indemnify the Organizers against all claims and expenses arising there from. In the event of it being necessary for any reason whatsoever for the Exhibition to be abandoned, postponed, or altered in any way, whole or part, or if the Organizers find it necessary to change the dates of the Exhibition, the Organizers shall not be liable for any expenditure, damage or loss incurred in connection with the Exhibition. The Organizers shall further not be liable for any loss which the Exhibition or Exhibition Contractors may incur owing to the intervention of any authority which prevents or restricts the use of the venue or any part thereof in any matter whatsoever. Promotional Activities All demonstrations or instructional activities must be confined to the limits of the exhibition stand. Advertising material and signs may not be distributed or displayed outside the exhibitor’s stands. Sound equipment must be regulated and directed into the stand so that it does not disturb neighboring exhibits. Exhibition Management reserves the right to require the exhibitor to discontinue any activity, noise or music that is deemed objectionable. Special Effects Special effects lighting, live music, smoke and laser projection may not be used in the stands. No permission will be given for projection in the aisles or on the walls of the hall. 20Page

We are a full door to door service company and sole on site logistic contractor.
As such, we are pleased to update you regarding the services and guidance as
how we dispatch sipments to the event. for shipping, international freight
forwarding, customs clearance and onsite services.
Onsite Handling
Due to security, insurance and organizer policy, Hermes-Merkur is the exclusive
handler inside the venue. No other company is permitted to handle cargo within
the venue.
Please note that companies, stand builders & PR companies may make their own
arrangements to deliver and retrieve goods directly to the warehouse/venue
entrance.

Vehicle access process
The maximum height on the B3 is 3.40 but at the beginning of the bay, there is an
open sky area where one big truck could be park for unloading.
There is only he one space availablefor unloading / loadinf at the B3 access. close
to the Brillat Savarin Hall
All vehicles delivering directly at the venue must be per – booked with HermesMerkur
Subject to pre confirmation and time slot by Hermes- attached outr time slot form.
Courier Shipments
It is not recommended to use a courier service for shipping your goods to the
congress venue. In case of sending a courier shipment, please be sure to send us
a pre-advise with the full details of the shipment: courier company, number of
pieces and tracking number.
All courier shipment must be send under DDP terms (delivery duties paid) .
Courier charges for handover of import shipping documents € 85.00/ document.
Shipments that arrive without pre alert and payment confirmation will not be
accepted.
Dangerous Cargo
Exhibitors need to complete a special form for dangerous goods. These forms will
be provided upon request and the completed forms should reach us before
shipment is dispatched. There will be surcharge of 100% for handling this kind of
shipment.
Insurance
All goods must be fully insured with all risk coverage. Insurance can be provided
upon request. We regret that we can take no responsibility for goods after delivery
to the exhibitors stand regardless if the exhibitor is present or not.
Heavy & Oversized Shipments
A heavy and oversized shipments applies to any single exhibit in excess of 1000 kg
and 5 CBM that requires the use of a forklift mobile crane for installation.
Exhibitors with heavy and oversized exhibits must inform us at least seven days
prior to delivery. A detailed layout should also be provided to better assist our
onsite operations.
Payment terms
In order to ensure move in/out of your shipment/s, please complete and sign the
attached Material handling form/payment confirmation and return it to our
attention.
Please note that your signature will be used as payment guarantee based on the
general tariff.
Please notify “Hermes - Merkur” immediately about any requirements relating to
invoices. All invoices must be settled by exhibitors/contractors and agents in
advance of the congress. In case of non-payment of invoices, shipments will be
held in storage until the invoices are paid in full.
Please note that all payments are in EUR.
Any services not outlined in the attached tariff will be quoted on an individual
basis.

GENERAL AND SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE AND LEASING (04/12/2013)
Preamble
For the purposes of these articles,
o the word "COMPANY" is used equally to refer to any of the following:
. Viparis Nord Villepinte (listed in the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 321 255 069),
. Viparis Le Bourget (listed in the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 448 307 363),
. Viparis Le Palais des Congrès de Paris (listed in the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 712 045 491),
. Viparis Le Palais des Congrès d'Issy (listed in the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 343 183 695),
. Viparis Palais des Congrès de Versailles (listed in the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 439 582 107) or

as identified on the order form as the site hosting the event which has given rise to this order.
I. - GENERAL TERMS OF SALE AND LEASING
These General Terms of Sale and Leasing shall apply to any order placed by the CLIENT, for services offered by the COMPANY.
The CLIENT declares and acknowledges that placing an order constitutes its explicit acceptance of these General and Special Terms of Sale and Leasing, which
shall prevail over all other provisions, particularly the CLIENT's general terms of purchase.
It is specified that in the event of an order being placed by a representative acting on behalf of the exhibitor, the aforementioned representative undertakes to
comply with these General and Specific Terms of Sale and Leasing and ensures that they are complied with by its principal.
Article 1: Order
All orders must be submitted:
. using the electronic purchase order which can be accessed on-line via the ordering portal at www.viparis.com/epex,
. or directly on-site through the Exhibitor Office teams (paper purchase order or order console).
Orders may not be submitted via any other means.
The CLIENT undertakes to submit orders before the deadline for submitting orders as indicated on the ordering portal of the above-mentioned website. Otherwise,
the order will be considered late and shall be subject to additional fees, provided it is still possible for the service to be rendered.
Orders will only be considered valid if they include:
. payment or evidence of payment (in the case of on-line payment or bank transfer) of the total amount due (including any additional fees for orders submitted
late) and,
. a plan, duly completed, indicating whereabouts the various services are to be rendered.
For all orders placed and paid for on-line, their acceptance by the COMPANY shall be confirmed by an e-mail confirming the technical feasibility of the order.
Orders placed on site will only be considered to have been accepted by the COMPANY if the latter does not express any reservations and does not refuse the order
when it is placed.
In the absence of payment, and subject to the provisions in the previous paragraph, the COMPANY reserves the right not to render the requested service. The
CLIENT shall bear sole responsibility for any consequences that may result from late payment.
Any modification to an order that was previously placed by the COMPANY will be invoiced at current rates as stated on the purchase order.
Any order cancellations must be sent to the COMPANY in writing (signed fax or e-mail) no later than 10 (ten) calendar days before the date of entry onto the
premises, except for orders placed on-site and those related to parking spaces, which cannot be cancelled. Any cancellation made after this deadline shall be
subject to invoicing for the full amount of the service.
Article 2: Order fulfilment
2.1 Sale of services
Orders shall be fulfilled on the basis of the information provided by the CLIENT on the purchase order and the plan sent with it, provided this information is in
compliance with prevailing regulations.
The COMPANY reserves the right not to render the services according to the terms requested by the CLIENT if these terms do not comply with current regulations.
In this case, the COMPANY shall inform the CLIENT and the order shall be suspended until additional information is received and the CLIENT accepts the necessary
modifications.
Furthermore, if at the time of a previous order the CLIENT did not fulfil one of its obligations (submitted a late payment, for example), the COMPANY may refuse
to sell unless the CLIENT provides sufficient financial guarantees or cash payment. No discount for cash or early payment shall be granted.
2.2 Leasing of equipment and furniture

Except where expressly stated to the contrary, the fulfilment of an order specifically includes the leased item's delivery to, installation at and return from the
exhibitor's stand.
As applicable, at the time of delivery and return, both parties shall complete delivery and return forms.
Unless a claim is recorded on the delivery form or submitted by mail, e-mail, or fax within 48 hours, the item shall be considered in good overall condition and
accepted as meeting the specifications of the order; it must be returned in the same condition at the end of the lease period.
Computer and telecommunications equipment shall be returned with all peripherals (remote controls, cables, original packaging, etc.) and with all of the
documentation initially provided, in whatever format it came in (manuals, software disks, etc.).
Due to limitations related to inventory availability or time constraints, the COMPANY explicitly reserves the right to provide, in place of a given item ordered, any
equivalent item that meets the CLIENT's needs in exactly the same way. Unless the CLIENT completely or partially refuses the replacement item at the time of its
delivery and installation, the CLIENT shall be deemed to have accepted it and the obligations that go with it.
Unless explicitly agreed with the COMPANY beforehand, the leased property may not be modified or transformed in any way.
The CLIENT explicitly agrees to use the leased item as it is intended to be used, not to do anything or allow anything to be done that would cause damage or loss,
to maintain it as would normally be required and to comply with all of the specific recommendations and usage guidelines that the COMPANY provides, especially
at the time of delivery. In the event of a fault occurring for which the CLIENT may not be held responsible, the COMPANY shall make every effort to fix any
breakage or technical problems that occur to the leased item. If the damage is found to be the fault of the CLIENT, the COMPANY shall invoice the CLIENT for the
cost of its repair.
2.3. The fulfilment of or access to all or part of a service provided by the COMPANY depends on its technical feasibility and/or the available inventory.
2.4. It is specified that in order to render all or part of the services to which these general terms apply, the COMPANY shall work with specialised firms, and the
CLIENT states that it has acknowledged and accepted this fact.
Article 3: Price - Invoicing - Payment
The applicable sale or lease price is the price shown on the purchase order. An itemised breakdown of this price is shown on the purchase order on a case-by-case
basis.
Products and services for which the price is not indicated on the purchase order shall be calculated and quoted for on request.
All prices indicated on price lists issued by the COMPANY are pre-tax and exclusive of VAT, which shall be applied at the current rate, in accordance with the legal
and regulatory provisions applicable to the service.
With the exception of orders placed relating to spaces in the car park, all orders taken on site and/or received after the deadline as stated on the on-line ordering
portal will automatically have the additional fees as indicated on the aforementioned portal added to them.
Payment for all services is due in full when the order is placed.
In situations where services are billed on a supplemental invoice, this invoice must be paid within 5 (five) calendar days of its receipt.
All outstanding sums that have not been paid by their deadline shall automatically accrue interest at a rate of 3 (three) times the current legal interest rate on the
date payment was due.
Article 4: Liability - Insurance
The Client is responsible for looking after the duly accepted item with effect from its delivery until it is returned, pursuant to the provisions of article 1384 et seq
of the French Civil Code. Consequently, the CLIENT shall be responsible for any damage or loss occurring to said item for the entire duration of its lease period,
until its return is confirmed, as applicable, by signatures from both parties on the above-mentioned return form.
In the event of the leased item being lost or damaged, the CLIENT shall be liable for the cost of repairing or replacing said item with a new item as of the date the
damage occurred, as well as for any resulting intangible loss, particularly relating to the item's unavailability.
As a result, the CLIENT must purchase, from companies licensed to provide insurance coverage in France, (i) an all-risks policy covering the leased items,
particularly for the risk of theft, fire, explosion, water damage, and machine breakdown, and (ii) a policy covering the financial consequences of the civil liability it
may incur due to bodily injury, property damage and direct and indirect losses incurred by a third party, including the COMPANY, through the use of the leased
items. The CLIENT must be able to provide proof of insurance at any time, upon first request from the COMPANY.
If the COMPANY is held responsible for failing to fulfil all or part of an order, its responsibility shall be limited to the amount of the relevant services, to the
exclusion of any other damages, a right to claim which the CLIENT explicitly waives.
All delivered items remain the exclusive property of the COMPANY and/or its partners.
Article 5: Force majeure
The COMPANY shall not be held responsible or be considered at fault for any delay or failure to render services resulting from a case of force majeure, as usually
defined by French jurisprudence.
Article 6: Tolerance - Modifications
Any tolerance demonstrated by the COMPANY concerning the CLIENT's failure to comply with any of these General and Special Terms of Sale and Leasing
completely or properly shall under no circumstances give rise to any right on the part of the CLIENT, nor shall it modify the nature, scope or execution of the
CLIENT's obligations in any way, regardless of the duration of the failure.
Article 7: Complaints
Complaints pertaining to the rendering of services must be presented in writing to the director of the COMPANY before the event closes to the public, so that the
claims can be noted and taken into account. No complaints shall be considered valid and accepted after this date.
Article 8: Address for correspondence - Applicable law
The parties shall use their respective headquarters as their addresses for correspondence.
By explicit agreement between the parties, any contract arising out of a duly accepted order is subject to French law.
For the sake of convenience, an English translation of these General Conditions of Sale and Leasing has been provided. However, in the event of a legal dispute,
only the French version shall be accepted.
The parties shall attempt to settle amicably and promptly any dispute that may arise between them with respect to the validity, interpretation, execution or
termination of this contract. Any dispute that the parties have failed to settle in this way shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Paris courts.

II - SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF SALE AND LEASING
Article 9: Definition of a stand
"Exhibition stands" refers to spaces on a single site separated by dividing walls of a certain height that prevent free movement between the spaces, the latter
being accessible via aisles. These spaces are occupied by legally distinct company names or brands.
Article 10: Work carried out on the SITE's distribution networks (electricity, water, compressed air) and facilities
For safety reasons, only persons appointed by the COMPANY are authorised to carry out operations on the SITE's electricity, water and compressed air networks.
Similarly, only persons appointed by the COMPANY are authorised to carry out operations on the SITE's infrastructure (crawl spaces, gutters, roofing, outside
areas, communications lines and cables etc.).
As such, the following are not authorised:
> any drilling to attach machines or to stabilise or brace equipment on the flooring, paving, terraces or any other parts of the building;
> any gluing or adhesion of materials to the flooring, paving or other parts of the building;
> any work on or modification to any structures;
In the event of any failure to comply with these guidelines, the COMPANY reserves the right to cut off the supply of power, water and/or compressed air and/or to
take down any unauthorised or non-compliant installations immediately, with the CLIENT being liable for all the costs and any harmful consequences arising to its
installation, without recourse against the COMPANY.
10.1: Electricity
Each power line may supply only one stand (fire safety standards).
The switch boxes and electricity cabinets are each fitted with a 300mA differential switch and fuses that are appropriate for the given amperage. In the event of a
surge in current, the protective mechanisms cut the power. Switch boxes with outlets are fitted with a 30 mA circuit breaker. For safety reasons (protection of
individuals), the outlets provided by the COMPANY are fitted with 30mA protection for a circuit with a maximum of 8 outlets. For more than 8 outlets, a second
30mA protection system must be installed.
Only personnel appointed by the COMPANY have the right to open the switch boxes and electricity cabinets, which, for safety reasons, must be accessible at all
times to personnel appointed by the COMPANY while remaining off-limits to the public. The power supply is not guaranteed against mini-outages.
It is specified that, in the event of a power outage, the CLIENT is not authorised by the COMPANY to use and/or resort to a generator unit.
10.2: Water
A line may only be used to supply a single stand.
If wastewater contains sewage or grease, a sedimentation or grease-removal tank is required.
Any filling or emptying of pools or basins is only to be carried out by personnel who have been specifically appointed by the COMPANY for this purpose.
For safety reasons, a connection may only supply two machines spaced less than 3m apart. One line per machine is required for machines further than 3m apart.
A drainpipe may only be connected up to a single piece of equipment. Any connection made directly by the CLIENT or an authorised third party must comply with
regulations regarding connections to the drinking-water supply system, in particular with regard to anti-pollution arrangements (backflow preventers).
10.3: Compressed air
The COMPANY provides compressed air inasmuch as the stand is located near a connection box. A line may only supply one single stand.
For safety reasons:
> the compressed air lines must not be laid across the aisles.
> a line can only supply two machines that are not more than 3m apart. One line per machine is required for machines further than 3m apart.
> the lines must be fixed in such a way as to prevent any whipping action should they break.
Any connection set up directly by the CLIENT or an authorised third party must comply with current regulations, be maintained throughout the duration of the
exhibition, and is the responsibility of the CLIENT, who shall bear all costs thereof.
10.4: Slinging
Rigging slings may only be set up by personnel appointed by the COMPANY; neither lifting nor hanging is included in the set-up.
Rigging slings are not allowed in some areas.
The CLIENT should refer to the exhibition guidelines with regard to the height and positioning of rigging slings.
10.5: Electronic communications ¿ Internet and networks
Only the COMPANY may run cables through the SITE¿s facilities. Similarly, only the COMPANY is authorised to attach satellite dishes to the buildings.
For optimum performance, one connection may not supply more than 4 devices. For more than four devices, an additional connection is required.
Article 11: Floor loads
Admissible floor loads vary from area to area. The CLIENT should contact the exhibition organisers, who have all the necessary information.
Article 12: Parking - Loading docks
Important: only the Paris expo Porte de Versailles, Paris Nord Villepinte and Paris Le Bourget sites have car parks on their premises.
Parking spaces at the Paris expo Porte de Versailles, Paris Le Bourget and Paris Nord Villepinte sites will be awarded on the basis of availability.
To facilitate stock management in the interest of everyone, it should be remembered that, once ordered, spaces may not be taken back or refunded.
With regard to parking spaces, it is expressly specified that the COMPANY only provides the right to a parking space and consequently declines any liability for
theft or damage of any kind caused to parked vehicles, as well as for any personal injury or physical damage that might arise during parking.
The French Highway Code (Code de la Route) is applicable on the site premises. The maximum authorised speed is 20 km/hour.
At all sites, any parking, even for short periods, is prohibited outside the dedicated areas marked for this purpose. No stopping is permitted in the lanes reserved
for fire engines and emergency vehicles.
In the period during which the exhibition is open to the public, no stopping or storage of any kind is permitted alongside the areas, in particular in the security
perimeters marked out alongside the buildings.
For safety reasons, any illegally parked vehicle can be removed without notice by the COMPANY and moved to a reserved place. Removal and storage charges
shall then be payable by the offending party before the vehicle may be recovered.
Article 13: Internet access - Wireless network
13.1: Internet access - WiFi service
The Client may access the WiFi service (hereafter referred to as "the Service¿) in accordance with the terms and conditions laid out in this document. The Client
undertakes to use the Service in compliance with these requirements, and to abstain from sending or receiving any message, data, file, content or signal which is

in breach of law and order, is unethical - particularly with regard to legislation on press infringements -, or contravenes Internet copyright law, contravenes laws
on the protection of minors, professional secrets, private correspondence or private information on the Internet. In the event of these regulations being breached,
the COMPANY reserves the right to disconnect the CLIENT immediately, without notice or compensation.
The COMPANY may not under any circumstances be held liable for any messages, data, files, contents or signals sent or received by the CLIENT while it is
connected to the Service, of for the illicit nature of any sites or content that it visits, views or uploads, or more generally, for any damage that the CLIENT may
suffer or cause as a result of its use of the Service. Consequently, the CLIENT guarantees the COMPANY against any direct or indirect tangible or intangible
damage that it or its agents might cause or that third parties might claim due to enjoyment of Internet access.
The CLIENT bears sole responsibility for the working condition of its end-point installation (cabling downstream from the terminal, computer configuration) and the
configuration of its computer equipment so as to obtain a service in compliance with the purchase order.
The CLIENT declares that it is aware of the technical specifications and that it knows of the uncertainties with respect to response times, loading, viewing and
other operations carried out on the Internet via the Service; the design of the network itself makes it impossible to know the recipient's data throughput rate, the
paths via which data is sent, or details about available bandwidth.
The CLIENT also acknowledges that it has been informed of the risks associated with the security and confidentiality of data and content sent and received over
the Internet. It assumes sole responsibility for ensuring that its data, content and applications are kept secure and confidential within the context of its use of the
Service. Furthermore, any operations carried out via the Service using the username and password allocated to the CLIENT are deemed to have been carried out
by the CLIENT.
The CLIENT shall take the necessary precautions in order to ensure that it is in compliance with current regulations regarding encryption and the secrecy of data
exchanges. The CLIENT is solely responsible for implementing the necessary hardware and software-based solutions for protecting its IT system and content
against any fraudulent access or computer viruses. The CLIENT recognises that under no circumstances may the COMPANY be held liable for any unauthorised
access or computer viruses. The CLIENT is hereby informed that the Service may be disrupted by any pieces of equipment located nearby which generate
electromagnetic interference.
In order to provide access to the WiFi service, the COMPANY uses an Electronic Communications Operator which is in compliance with article L.33-1 CPCE on
electronic communications devices. As such, the Operator is required to retain all identification and login data in accordance with article 6 of law no. 2004-575 of
21 January 2004 and L.34-1 CPCE of the electronic communications devices code. In compliance with this law, the Operator, or the COMPANY acting on its behalf,
is required to collect and retain all technical data as defined by article R.10-13 CPCE, without, however, saving the actual content of the communications in
question.
In application of law no. 78-17 of 6 January 1978, the CLIENT is entitled to access, modify, delete or correct any personal data held about it or prevent it being
sent to any third parties. The rights regarding this information apply to the COMPANY or to the Electronic Communications Operator which provides the Service.
The CLIENT is required to inform all users of the WiFi service provided of the rights they enjoy with respect to any personal data about them.
The CLIENT undertakes to inform any employees, partners, clients, potential clients or visitors who may connect to the Internet using the Service with which the
CLIENT is provided of this information and the limitations of use.
13.2: Wireless network
No wireless network (WiFi, WiMax, Edge, etc.) may be set up at the site without the express prior approval of the COMPANY.

INTRODUCTION
PREAMBULE
1 - RAPPEL DU CONTEXTE
1 – BACKGROUND
Le CNIT est un ensemble immobilier à usage de
bureaux, commerces et centre de congrès expositions.
Il est situé sur le Parvis de la Défense [2 place de La
Défense à PUTEAUX 92800), à proximité de la Grande
Arche et du centre commercial des Quatre Temps.
Il est précisé que UNIBAIL HOLDING est propriétaire
de l'ensemble immobilier CNIT et que VIPARIS SAS
est locataire et exploitant des espaces de congrès
expositions situés en infrastructure du bâtiment.
Le client contractant avec VIPARIS SAS pour la
location d'espaces et l'achat de prestations diverses
est désigné ci-après comme l'Organisateur de la
Manifestation, en mention abrégée « l'Organisateur
». Le client contractant avec l'Organisateur pour la
location d'un stand de manière à participer à la
Manifestation est désigné ci-après comme «
l'Exposant ».
Les espaces congrès expositions du CNIT sont
également dénommés ci-après le « Site ».
CNIT is a complex which houses offi ces, shops and a
conference and exhibition centre. It is located on the
Parvis de la Défense (2 Place de la Défense, PUTEAUX
92800), close to the Grande Arche and the Quatre Temps
shopping centre.
The owner of the CNIT complex is UNIBAIL HOLDING
and the lessee and operator of the conference and
exhibition areas located within the building infrastructure
is VIPARIS SAS.
A client contracting with VIPARIS SAS to rent space and
purchase various services is hereinafter referred to as the
Event Organiser, abbreviated to “the Organiser”. A client
contracting with the Organiser to lease a stand in order to
participate in an Event is hereinafter referred to as “the
Exhibitor”.
The conference and exhibition areas in the CNIT
complex are hereinafter referred to as “the Site”.
2 - PURPOSE OF SAFETY SPECIFICATIONS
2 - OBJET DU CAHIER DES CHARGES SECURITE
Ce Cahier des Charges de Sécurité est destiné à
servir de cadre aux obligations juridiques réciproques
en matière de sécurité incendie entre les différents
utilisateurs des espaces de congrès expositions du
CNIT et VIPARIS SAS qui en est le locataire et
l'exploitant.
Il a également pour objet de définir et de répartir les
obligations et les responsabilités de chacune des
parties concourant à l'activité de salons, expositions,
conventions, conférences congrès et autres opérations à
vocation événementielle et à caractère temporaire, ciaprès dénommés la ou les Manifestation [s), et de
préciser les conditions d'utilisation propres à chaque
espace mis à la disposition de chaque Organisateur.
L'acceptation intégrale du présent Cahier des Charges
de sécurité par les Organisateurs de Manifestations
constitue le préalable indispensable à tout
engagement de location de la part de VI PARIS SAS.
Approuvé par les autorités administratives
compétentes, ce Cahier des Charges de Sécurité,
non négociable, fait partie intégrante de tout
contrat. En signant ce contrat avec VIPARIS SAS,
l'Organisateur s'engage à respecter et faire respecter
le présent Cahier des Charges de Sécurité par
l'ensemble de ses Exposants, visiteurs, participants et
prestataires, et ce quelles que soient la nature et les
modalités d'application des droits constituant leur
titre d'occupation ou d'accès.
These Safety Specifications serve as a framework for
the reciprocal legal obligations in respect of fi re
safety between the various users of the CNIT
conference and exhibition areas and VIPARIS SAS,
the lessee and operator of such areas.
The Safety Specifications also define and assign the
obligations and responsibilities of each of the parties
engaged in staging shows, exhibitions, conventions,
conferences and other events of a temporary nature,
hereinafter referred to as “the Event(s)”, and specify
the conditions of use for each area made available to
each Organiser.
The acceptance of these Safety Specifications in their
entirety by the Event Organisers is an essential
prerequisite for any undertaking by VIPARIS SAS to
rent out the premises.
These Safety Specifications are non-negotiable and
form an integral part of any contract, and have been
approved by the competent administrative authorities.
In entering into this contract with VI PARIS SAS, the
Organiser undertakes to comply with these Safety
Specifications and to ensure compliance with them by
all its Exhibitors, visitors, participants and service
providers, irrespective of the nature of their rights of
occupation or access and the terms and conditions
constituting such rights.
The provisions of these Safety Specifications may be
supplemented by the Specifications relating
specifically to the Event in question.

I.2 - MAINTENANCE, CHECKS AND SAFETY

The area made available to the Organiser contractually
by VIPARIS SAS, as well as the building and fi xed
installations forming part thereof, shall be properly
maintained by VIPARIS SAS in accordance with the
regulations applicable thereto.
L'espace mis contractuellement à disposition de
l'Organisateur par VIPARIS SAS, ainsi que les
bâtiments et les installations fixes qui en font partie,
sont entretenus par VIPARIS SAS, conformément
aux règles de l'art et aux dispositions réglementaires
qui leur sont applicables.
A Safety Register shall be kept for the entire CNIT
complex. The results of regulatory checks and tests on
the operation of safety equipment shall be entered in
this Register, which is held by the person ultimately
responsible for CNIT safety, and made available to the
Organiser and the Safety Sub-committee of the local
authority.
Un Registre de Sécurité est tenu pour la totalité de
l'ensemble immobilier CNIT. Le résultat des
contrôles réglementaires et des essais en
fonctionnement des moyens de secours sont
consignés sur ce Registre qui est tenu par le
responsable unique de la sécurité du CNIT, et mis à
disposition de l'Organisateur et de la SousCommission Départementale de Sécurité.
I.3 - SITUATION IN RESPECT OF THIRD PARTIES

Category 1 public access building forming part of the
infrastructure at reference point (62.14), which is
located in Place André Malraux.

These areas can be accessed from Place André Malraux

I.4 STRUCTURE OF FIRE SAFETY SERVICE (CNIT)
The Central Safety Post (or Central Surveillance Post) is
manned 24/7 by a team of five operators with SSIAP1
qualifications (in terms of the law of 02 May 2005),
including an SSIAP2 team leader, who are responsible
for the general safety of the whole CNIT complex.

CNIT est assurée au Poste Central de Sécurité [ou
Poste Central de Surveillance) par une équipe de 5
agents qualifiés SSIAP1 [au sens de l'arrêté du 02
mai 2005) dont un Chef d'Equipe SSIAP2 24h/24h.
The fire safety service for the CNIT complex is
answerable to an SSIAP3 safety service manager.
Le service de sécurité incendie de l'ensemble
immobilier CNIT est placé sous la responsabilité
d'un Chef de service Sécurité SSIAP3.
I.5 OBLIGATIONS OF THE OWNER

UNIBAIL HOLDING is the owner of the CNIT centre
and, as such, represents its various occupants in safety
matters.
UNIBAIL RODAMCO est propriétaire de l'ensemble
immobilier CNIT et, à ce titre, en représente les
différents occupants en matière de sécurité. Il doit
s'assurer que les installations et les équipements de
sécurité sont établis, maintenus et entretenus en
conformité avec les dispositions réglementaires en
vigueur. L'ensemble de ces installations est soumis
aux vérifications réglementaires effectuées par un
organisme agréé par le Ministère de l'Intérieur.
It must ensure that the safety installations and
equipment are installed, maintained and serviced in
accordance with the regulatory provisions in force. All
these installations are subject to regulatory checks
carried out by a body approved by the Ministry of the
Interior.
I.6 - SAFETY INSTALLATIONS, MAINTENANCE, USE

The CNIT complex is fitted with a Category A fi re
safety system, located at the Site Safety Control
Post.

Sécurité Incendie de catégorie A, situé au PC Sécurité
du site.
I.6.2 - EXTINGUISHING EQUIPMENT
I.6.2 - MOYENS D'EXTINCTION
The fire safety of the premises is ensured by ~
- a fixed automatic sprinkler-type fi re
extinguishing system
- fire hoses in cabinets (nominal diameter
20mm, length 30m and 40m)
- a range of extinguishers appropriate for the
risks involved - a network of wet standpipes
installed in fi re brigade access routes and all
staircases of the CNIT complex (one point
with a nominal diameter of 65mm, two with a
nominal diameter of 45mm per security
entrance).
- a network of private and public fi re hydrants

longueur 30 et 40 mètres)

I.6.3 - MOYENS D'ALARME
La partie congrès expositions dispose d'une
alarme de type 1, composant sa propre zone d'alarme.
L'évacuation
générale
des
espaces
congrès
expositions est due systématiquement.
L'ensemble des espaces est équipé d'une sonorisation
de sécurité prioritaire.
I.6.3 - ALARM EQUIPMENT
The conference and exhibition section has a type 1
alarm, which covers its own alarm zone. The general
evacuation of conference and exhibition areas is
managed systematically.

All areas are equipped with a priority public address
system for use in emergencies.
Un message d'évacuation préenregistré peut être
diffusé à l'initiative de l'Organisateur. Toutes
dispositions doivent être prises par ce dernier afin que ce
message soit audible en toutes circonstances. VIPARIS
SAS se réserve le droit d'imposer à l'Organisateur
l'asservissement de toute sonorisation d'ambiance à la
sonorisation de sécurité qui doit, dans tous les cas,
rester prioritaire.
Une installation électronique de surveillance et détection
incendie, située au Poste Central de sécurité centralise
les alarmes sprinklers et les appels provenant des
téléphones interphones d'alarme implantés dans les
espaces congrès expositions du CNIT.
En outre, le fonctionnement de l'alarme générale est
précédé automatiquement de l'arrêt du programme
en cours et de la mise en service de l'éclairage
normal.
A pre-recorded evacuation message can be broadcast on the
initiative of the Organiser. The Organiser must ensure that
the message is audible in all circumstances. VIPARIS SAS
reserves the right to insist that the Organiser allow any
background sound system to be overridden by the
emergency public address system, which must have priority
at all times.
Sprinkler alarms and calls from alarm intercom telephones
situated in the conference and exhibition areas of the CNIT
complex are centralised in an electronic fi re surveillance
and detection installation located in the Central Safety Post.
The operation of the general alarm is preceded
automatically by the cessation of the programme in progress
and a return to normal lighting.
I.6.4- MOYENS D'ALERTE INTERIEURE

La liaison entre les zones accessibles au public et le
Poste Central de Sécurité est réalisée par des
interphones à bris de glace répartis dans les locaux
accessibles au public.
Areas accessible to the public are linked to the Central
Safety Post by emergency intercom telephones in breakglass cabinets in positions accessible to the public.
I.6.5 - MOYENS D'ALERTE EXTERIEURE

En application de l'article MS 71 de l'arrêté du 25 juin
1980, la liaison entre le Poste Central de sécurité du
CNIT et le Centre de Secours des Sapeurs-Pompiers
territorialement compétent est assurée par une ligne
téléphonique directe de type T.A.S.A.L.

June 1980, the CNIT Central Safety Post is linked
to the local Fire Station by an automatically
monitored direct line.
I.7 - SMOKE EXTRACTION
I.7 – DESENFUMAGE
Smoke is extracted in accordance with the practices
introduced in 1989. The smoke extraction system
complies with Technical Instruction 246.
Smoke is extracted mechanically from all horizontal
thoroughfares and areas open to the public.
Waiting rooms used as a refuge for disabled people
with reduced mobility have an autonomous smoke
extraction system, each of which has a fresh-air supply
vent and a mechanical extraction vent.
There is a specific access point reserved for
firefighting personnel from the public way alongside
Avenue du Général Leclerc.
Le principe de désenfumage est celui existant depuis
1989. Il respecte l'IT 246.
Toutes les circulations horizontales et locaux recevant
du public sont désenfumées mécaniquement.
Les locaux d'attente servant de refuge aux personnes
handicapées à mobilité réduite disposent d'un
désenfumage autonome disposant chacun d'une
bouche d'amenée d'air frais et d'une bouche d'extraction
mécanique.
Un accès « pompiers » est réservé aux personnels de
lutte contre l'incendie à partir de la voie publique côté
Avenue du Général Leclerc.

The use of banners with white letters on a green
background is forbidden, as these colours are reserved

sa présence dans la Manifestation.

and exhibition areas at any one time is 20,081 (including
the public and staff). Details by type of event are

doors in and to these areas while they are present at an
Event.
I.11 - OPERATING METHOD AND CHECKS

SAS ainsi qu'à tout locataire Organisateur de
Manifestation au sein du CNIT.
The aforementioned conditions apply to VIPARIS SAS
and any Event Organiser renting space and/or services
within the CNIT complex.
VIPARIS SAS et tout locataire Organisateur de
Manifestation s'obligent à laisser libre accès au
Responsable Unique de Sécurité et Chef de service
Sécurité du CNIT, lesquels ont notamment pour
mission de veiller au respect des dites dispositions.
VIPARIS SAS and any Event Organiser renting space
and/ or services within the CNIT complex undertake to
allow free access to the Head of CNIT Safety and the
Safety Service Manager, whose task is to ensure
adherence to the said conditions.

Les autorisations administratives nécessaires à l'organisation des salons, expositions et toutes autres
manifestations, sont délivrées par le Maire de
Puteaux après avis de la Sous-Commission
Départementale de Sécurité des Hauts-de-Seine.
La procédure et les délais sont décrits ci -après :

organisation of shows, exhibitions and/or any
other event are issued by the Mayor of Put eaux
advised by the Safety Sub-committee of the
Department of Hauts-de-Seine.

I.12.1 - SALONS EXPOSITIONS
L'Organisateur de salons et d'expositions
transmettra le dossier en 7 exemplaires à la
Mairie de Puteaux, 2 mois avant la tenue du
salon ou de l'exposition, par l'intermédiaire du
chargé de sécurité.

Organisers of shows and exhibitions shall submit seven
copies of their proposal to the Town Council of Puteaux
two months before the show or exhibition is due to be
held, via the Head of Safety.

Le centre de congrès expositions du CNIT, ci-après
dénommé le « Site », est intégré dans un
établissement recevant du public classé 1 re catégorie
comprenant plusieurs types d'établissements IL, N, M,
W, R, O, T, X, PS).
The CNIT conference and exhibition centre, hereinafter
referred to as “the Site”, is part of a Category 1 public
access building including a number of different types of
establishment ( L, N, M, W, R, O, T, X, PS).

compris les halls d'accueil) + 622 m2 de salles
blanches ne recevant pas de public, réparties de la

Also, ancillary areas such as toilets, catering areas,
technical control rooms and simultaneous translation

The various levels of the Site are designed to host
shows and exhibitions, conventions, lectures,
conferences, seminars, examinations, concerts and
other events of a temporary nature.
The general plan of the Site drawn up by VIPARIS
SAS (hereinafter referred to as “the site plan”,
shown in Appendix 1) has been approved by the
Safety Sub-commission of the Department of Hautsde-Seine.

Tous les niveaux et locaux sont accessibles aux
personnes handicapées à Mobilité réduite.
All levels and areas are accessible by disabled
persons with reduced mobility.
L'accès des piétons s'effectue depuis la voie publique à
partir du Parvis de la Défense, le passage Carpeaux et
le passage de la Coupole.
Pedestrians may access the complex from the public
way from the Parvis de la Défense, the Passage
Carpeaux and the Passage de la Coupole.
L'accès des véhicules est prévu au parc de
stationnement du CNIT niveaux 3, 4, 5, aux
emplacements spécialement aménagés et réservés aux
personnes handicapées à mobilité réduite.
There is vehicular access to levels 3, 4 and 5 of the
CNIT parking garage, and specially equipped and
reserved spaces for disabled persons with reduced
mobility.
II.5.1 -ASCENSEURS
II.5.1 –ELEVATORS
L'accès à l'établissement s'effectue grâce à deux
ascenseurs vers le niveau 0, place André Malraux. Ces
ascenseurs desserviront le niveau A et donneront accès
directement aux espaces de congrès expositions du
CNIT.
Access is via two elevators on Level 0, Place André
Malraux. These elevators serve Level A and provide
direct access to the CNIT conference and exhibition
areas. In addition, the four CNIT conference and
exhibition levels (A, B, C, D) are served by two
elevators for people with reduced mobility.
En complément, les 4 niveaux des espaces congrès
exposition du CNIT (A, B, C, D) seront desservis par 2
ascenseurs PMR.
II.5.2 - THOROUGHFARES
Layouts for conferences or exhibitions must not
interfere with access for disabled persons with reduced
mobility. Any layout that modifies the existing access
routes for disabled persons with reduced mobility shall
be subject to approval by the Accessibility Subcommittee.
II.5.2 - CHEMINEMENT

These officers (designated and appointed by VIPARIS
SAS) act under the authority and responsibility of
VIPARIS SAS. However, in the event of an emergency,
they must call in the CNIT Centre Safety Service and
make themselves available to that service if necessary.

L'alimentation en énergie électrique des stands est
réalisée à partir des installations fixes et semipermanentes du Site mises en place, exploitées et
entretenues par VIPARIS SAS.
Electricity for stands is supplied by fi xed and semipermanent installations on the Site installed, operated
and maintained by VIPARIS SAS.
Each semi-permanent installation includes a power
cable and consumer unit for each stand appropriate for
the power requested by each exhibitor.
Chaque installation semi-permanente comprend, pour
chaque stand, un câble d'alimentation et un coffret de
livraison adaptés à la puissance demandée par chaque
exposant.
A consumer unit may only supply a single stand.
Un coffret de livraison ne peut alimenter qu'un seul
stand.
II.7.2 - TECHNICAL ELECTRICAL ASSISTANCE

The consumer unit, installed and sealed by a service
provider recommended by VIPARIS SAS, is equipped
with a mechanism to protect against power surges and
provides protection against indirect contacts via a
residual differential current device. It has a ground
terminal and connection terminals or slots to which
Exhibitors may connect the electrical installations
specific to their stand.
Le coffret de livraison, capoté et plombé par le
prestataire référencé par VIPARIS SAS est équipé d'un
dispositif de protection contre les surintensités et
assure une protection contre les contacts indirects
par un dispositif à courant différentiel résiduel. Il

VIPARIS SAS provides a full-time 24/7 Technical
Electrical Service for the Organiser and Exhibitors
while the power supply to stands is operational.

SAS met un service de permanence Technique
Electrique à la disposition de l'Organisateur et des
Exposants.
Ce service est seul habilité à intervenir sur les
installations fixes et semi-permanentes de la

This service is the only one with authority to
undertake work on the fixed and semi-permanent
installations at the Event. There is always someone
on duty to perform this function while the Event is
open to the public.
La présence d'un électricien par unité de 6 000 m2
lorsque la puissance électrique demandée est supérieure
à 200 KVA conformément aux dispositions du règlement
de sécurité de l'article T33.
The presence of one electrician for every 6,000 m2
when the electrical power demanded exceeds 200
KVA in accordance with the requirements of the
safety rules in paragraph T33.

la Manifestation, y compris pendant les périodes de
montage et de démontage, l'Organisateur a, d'une
manière générale, l'obligation de respecter et de faire
respecter par ses Exposants et prestataires et

applicable à la Manifestation et notamment:

L'autorisation d'ouvrir la Manifestation au public est
délivrée à l'Organisateur par le Maire de Puteaux
(ci-après dénommé « l'autorité administrative »),
après avis de la Sous-Commission Départementale
de Sécurité du département des Hauts-de-Seine.
The authorisation to open an Event to the public is
delivered to the Organiser by the Mayor of Puteaux

Authority”) on the advice of the Safety Sub-Commission
of the Department of Hauts-de-Seine.
The Organiser is solely responsible for carrying out all
the procedures required to obtain this authorisation,
which is mandatory for the holding of an Event.

d'obtenir cette autorisation, indispensable pour pouvoir
tenir la manifestation, est de la seule responsabilité
de l'Organisateur.
Pour solliciter cette autorisation, l'Organisateur

to the Administrative Authority by the Organiser no less
than two months before the scheduled date of opening to
the public, and must comply in all respects with the
requirements outlined above in the Security
Specifications.

full copy to VIPARIS SAS and the Head of Safety,
who will ensure that the proposed layout for the Event
is compatible with these Safety Specifications.

On receipt of the letter from the Administrative
Authority authorising or refusing the opening - and at
the latest on the day on which the Event is due to open
to the public - the Organiser must send VIPARIS SAS
a full copy of such letter.

public. Il informera immédiatement VI PARIS SAS
de cette nomination.
For Type T events, the Organiser must appoint a
Head of Safety who shall assist the Organiser at least
until the closure of the Event to the public. The
Organiser shall notify VIPARIS SAS immediately of
this appointment.
La mission confiée par l'Organisateur à son Chargé
de Sécurité doit être entièrement conforme aux
dispositions prévues par l'Article T6 de l'Arrêté du 11
novembre 1987, modifié par l'Arrêté du 11 janvier 2000.
Il doit, en particulier, veiller au strict respect du présent
Cahier des Charges de Sécurité, éventuellement
complété ou modifié par le Cahier des Charges de la
Manifestation.
The remit given by the Organiser to their Head of
Safety must be entirely in accordance with the
provisions of article T6 of the law of 11 November
1987, amended by the law of 11 January 2000.In
particular, the Head of Safety must ensure strict
adherence to these Safety Specifications and any
additional demands or amendments in the Event
Specifications.

In order to execute his/her role, the Head of Safety
must be physically present on the Event premises
from the beginning of set-up operations until the date
on which the Event closes to the public.
Prior to the opening of the Event to the public, the
Head of Safety must visit the entire Event and draw
up a “Final Report” in which they deliver a decision
as to whether all the regulatory safety requirements
have been complied with, and whether part or all of
the Event may be opened to the public or not. The
Organiser must immediately send a copy of this
report to VIPARIS SAS.
Préalablement à l'ouverture de la Manifestation au
public, le Chargé de Sécurité doit visiter l'ensemble
de la Manifestation et établir un « Rapport Final »
dans lequel il se prononce sur le respect de
l'ensemble des prescriptions réglementaires de

L'Organisateur doit immédiatement faire parvenir un
exemplaire de ce rapport à VIPARIS SAS.
III.4.1.2 -AUTRES MANIFESTATIONS

Pour les manifestations de type L, N, pouvant
recevoir plus de 300 personnes un dossier sécurité
sera soumis pour approbation au représentant
Prévention sécurité incendie de VIPARIS SAS. Ce
dernier délivrera au vue du dossier un compte rendu de
visite avant ouverture.
For Type L and N events able to accommodate over
300 persons, a proposed safety plan shall be
submitted for approval to the VIPARIS SAS Fire
Prevention Safety Officer. Having inspected the
proposed safety plan, this officer will deliver a review
of the visit before opening.
III.4.2 - AGENTS DE SECURITE

Manifestation par des Agents de Sécurité Incendie

The Organiser must ensure that Fire Safety Officers
oversee the safety of the Event under the conditions
provided in article T48 of the amended law of 18
November 1987, in accordance with article II.6 of these
Safety Specifications. (These persons, designated and
appointed by VIPARIS SAS, act under the authority
and responsibility of VIPARIS SAS. However, in the
event of an emergency, they must call in the CNIT
Centre Safety Service and make themselves available to

These personnel with SSIAP qualifications (in terms of the
law of 2 May 2005), instructed in the safety procedures of the
establishment, will be in permanent contact with the CNIT
complex Central Safety Post.
The event safety personnel shall be in addition to the CNIT
complex safety staff.
These safety officers, who are an intrinsic part of the Fire
Safety Service for the Event, shall receive all information and
instructions relating to the exercise of their function from the
Organiser. They shall have access to alarm equipment, fi re
hoses and additional extinguisher equipment provided by the
Organiser.
Ces agents de sécurité, qui font intrinsèquement partie
du Service Sécurité Incendie de la Manifestation,
reçoivent de l'Organisateur toute information et
consigne relative à l'exercice de leur fonction. Ils ont
accès aux moyens d'alerte, RIA et moyens

III.4.3 - ADDITIONAL EXTINGUISHER EQUIPMENT
In addition to the extinguisher equipment provided
by VIPARIS SAS, water fi re extinguishers with a
minimum capacity of six litres as per article T47 of
the law of 8 November 1987 shall be provided by the
Organiser. These extinguishers, which may be used
by the Organiser’s safety officers, shall be installed
on the basis of one extinguisher per 300 m2, in the
emergency exits, near exits, in areas remote from fi
re hoses and on stands presenting a particular risk.
Organisers shall be responsible for ensuring that
their Heads of Safety advise them of any additional
resources required, and for providing them.
III.4.3 - MOYENS D'EXTINCTION COMPLEMENTAIRES
En complément des moyens d'extinction mis en place
par VIPARIS SAS les extincteurs portatifs à eau de 6
litres minimum prévus par l'article T47 de l'Arrêté du
8 novembre 1987 doivent être mis en place par
l'Organisateur. Ces extincteurs, utilisables par les
agents de sécurité de l'Organisateur, doivent être
installés sur la base d'un appareil pour 300 m2 , dans
les dégagements, près des sorties, dans les endroits
éloignés des RIA et sur les stands présentant des
risques particuliers.

durée de la Manifestation en ce qui concerne
notamment l'aménagement et l'exploitation de leurs
stands.
The Organiser shall take every possible measure to
notify Exhibitors of the health and safety rules and
operational restrictions with which they must comply
throughout the Event, particularly in respect of the
layout and running of their stands.
Dans le cadre de cette mission générale
d'information, l'Organisateur doit, en particulier,
éditer et adresser à chaque Exposant un « Guide de
l'Exposant » qui précise impérativement :
As part of this general information function, the
Organiser shall produce and send each Exhibitor an
“Exhibitor’s Guide” which must contain:

début des opérations de montage et jusqu'à la date de

stipulated in these Safety Specifications and the Event

conditions of the general site plan and the conditions
below applying to the Organiser.

charges nécessaires à l'aménagement de la
Manifestation puissent être réalisées en respectant
strictement les charges admissibles au plancher de 1
tonne/m2. Il est précisé que les charges admissibles
dans les espaces type salles de réunions et espaces
polyvalents sont de 500 kg/m2.
An Event must be laid out in such a way that all load
transport and installation operations required to set
up the Event can be undertaken whilst adhering
strictly to the permitted floor load of 1 tonne per
square metre. The permitted floor load in meeting
rooms and multi-purpose areas is 500 kilograms per
square metre.
III.6.5 - ACCROCHAGE DES STRUCTURES

s'ancrer sur les murs. L'Organisateur a l'obligation
d'interdire tout élément suspendu et toute
signalisation fixés sur les gaines de distribution

les conduits de ventilation et de désenfumage et d'une
manière générale, sur tout appareil ou conduit existant.
Ropes suspended from a ceiling or structure may not
be attached to the walls. Organisers are responsible
for forbidding all suspended items or signage fixed
to electricity distribution ducts or conduits, the
automatic water extinguishing network, ventilation
and smoke-extraction conduits and generally, to any
existing device or conduit.

This condition must not have the effect of decreasing
the number of emergency exits to below that
corresponding to the total number of public admitted.

Organiser to delimit the areas accessible to the public.

exceptionnellement tolérés doivent être identifiés

- Laisser libre accès aux moyens de secours et aux
issues donnant sur l'extérieur qui doivent rester

Unused areas must be kept free of all deposited or
stored items throughout the Event, except with the
prior written agreement of VIPARIS SAS. If such
agreement is obtained, the deposited or stored items
exceptionally permitted shall be identified (panels or
posters), in addition to all specific conditions that
might be imposed by VIPARIS SAS:
- Must consist of authorised materials/equipment
only, - Must be neatly packed,
- Must leave access free to emergency equipment and
exits to the outside, which must remain open,
- Must be under constant surveillance by the
Organiser’s safety officers,
- Must be able to be checked by VIPARIS SAS.

to VIPARIS SAS so that the latter may ensure that
each plan complies with the general layout rules
defined in these Safety Specifications, particularly
with regard to thoroughfares, emergency exits and fi
re brigade access.

When using exhibition areas as meeting rooms,
examination rooms and for concerts, the layout must
comply with:
- The law of 25 June 1980, particularly articles CO38
- CO39 and AM ~8 relating to exits, emergency exits
and room
layouts.
- The law of 12 December 1984 supplementing and
amending the law of 25 June 1980 concerning Type L
events (meeting and conference rooms etc.).

Normal lighting in the rooms may be that provided by
VIPARIS SAS. Alternatively, the lights provided by
VIPARIS SAS must remain in operation.
- L'arrêté du 12 décembre 1984 complétant et
modifiant l'arrêté du 25 juin 1980 concernant les
manifestations de type L [salle de réunions, de
conférences, etc.).
The lights provided by VIPARIS SAS may be used
for ambiance lighting. Alternatively, safety ambiance
lighting must be used.
L'éclairage normal des salles peut être celui de
VIPARIS SAS. Dans le cas contraire, les appareils
assurant l'éclairage de VIPARIS SAS doivent rester en
fonctionnement.
The sound system in the hall/room must
subservient to the safety public address system
the area concerned.
The exits must be marked by autonomous units.
The theoretical number of persons that may
admitted is limited to the number of seats in
room.

20,081 (public) plus 39 (staff), i.e. a total of 20,120

L'usage des portes des espaces doit être maintenu à
la libre disposition du public pendant toute la durée de
sa présence.
Members of the public must have free access to doors
in and to these areas while they are attending an Event.
Pour les manifestations où la fréquentation est limitée
(salons professionnels par exemple) il peut être admis,
après avis favorable de l'autorité administrative obtenu
par l'Organisateur, que certaines sorties puissent être
provisoirement neutralisées, étant précisé que, dans
tous les cas, le nombre de sorties restant à disposition
du public ne doit jamais être inférieur au 2/3 du calcul
théorique (art. T20).
For events with limited attendance (trade shows for
example), and after the Organiser has obtained a
favourable ruling from the Administrative Authority,
some exits may be temporarily closed off on condition
that in all cases, the number of exits available to the
public is never less than 2/3 of the theoretical
calculation (article T20).
Lorsque cette autorisation est accordée, les sorties
rendues inutilisables ainsi que leur signalisation
réglementaire doivent être signalées par des
pancartes indiquant les portes neutralisées placées

When this authorisation is granted, the exits rendered
unusable and their regulatory signage must be signalled
by notices indicating the doors closed off placed on the
outside of these doors.
Les portes peuvent rester fermées mais non
verrouillées. Elles ne peuvent être équipées que de
dispositifs sécables, l'usage de chaines ou de cadenas
est strictement interdit. Il appartient à l'Organisateur
de fournir à son service de gardiennage toutes
informations et consignes pour que l'ensemble des
dispositions ci-dessus soient respectées. Ce
personnel doit également disposer de toutes
informations sur la conduite à tenir en cas de
déclenchement du message d'évacuation de la
Manifestation.
The doors may remain closed but not locked. They may
only be equipped with breakable devices, the use of
chains or padlocks is strictly prohibited. The Organiser
must provide their caretaker service with all the
information and instructions necessary to ensure that
all the above conditions are complied with. These
personnel must also be given all the necessary
information on what to do if an evacuation message is
triggered during an Event.

In this case, these Safety Specifications are to be
scrupulously adhered to by all the Organisers. VIPARIS
SAS reserves the right to prohibit any movement that
might compromise the safety of the public.

Organisateurs. VIPARIS SAS se réserve le droit
d'interdire tout mouvement qui serait de nature à

The Organiser will allow free access at all times to the
area being used for its event by VIPARIS SAS staff, all
persons wearing a badge authorised by VIPARIS SAS,
any government official, customs or police officer in the
exercise of their duties and members of the Safety

L'Organisateur doit prendre toutes mesures utiles
afin que les Exposants respectent strictement les

Sécurité, l'Organisateur doit interdire l'exploitation des
stands non conformes. Il doit alors refuser la
distribution de l'électricité et des autres fluides et
peut imposer la fermeture du stand.
The Organiser must do everything in its power to
ensure that Exhibitors adhere strictly to the
obligations incumbent upon them in terms of
Section III below. If requested to do so by their
Head of Safety, the Organiser must prohibit the
running of non-compliant stands. They must then
refuse to provide electricity and other utilities, and
have the authority to oblige the stand to shut down.

up the site plan to be sent to VIPARIS SAS and kept at the
Central Safety Post of the CNIT complex.

aux moteurs thermiques ou à combustion, pour
transmission de ces demandes à l'autorité
administrative à l'initiative de l'Organisateur et

Without prejudice to the requirements in the Event
Specifications and the Operating Specifications drawn
up by VIPARIS SAS, Exhibitors must comply with
the following requirements when laying out and
running their stands.
IV.2.1 - DISPOSITIONS GENERALES

L'Exposant ne peut installer son stand que sur la surface
mise contractuellement à sa disposition par
l'Organisateur, telle que cette dernière figure dans le
dossier, remis par celui-ci à l'autorité administrative et
approuvé par cette dernière.
Exhibitors may only set up their stands in the area
contractually provided for them by the Organiser, as
it appears in the proposal submitted by the Organiser
to the Administrative Authority and approved by the
latter.
Aucun aménagement ne doit masquer l'accès, ou faire
obstacle à une utilisation et à un fonctionnement
normal des dispositifs de ventilation, désenfumage,
extinction automatique à eau, RIA et autres installations
de prévention ou de secours mises en place par
VIPARIS SAS ou l'Organisateur. Si des robinets
d'incendie sont situés à l'intérieur d'un stand, ils
doivent rester visibles et parfaitement accessibles.
Les aménagements doivent être réalisés selon les
règles de l'art et conformément aux dispositions des
articles T21 à T24 de l'arrêté du 18 novembre 1987.
Nothing must obstruct access or act as an obstacle to
the normal use or operation of ventilation or smoke
extraction equipment, automatic water extinguishers, fi
re hoses or other prevention or emergency installations
provided by VIPARIS SAS or the Organiser. If fi re
hoses are located inside a stand, they must remain
visible and fully accessible.
Stands must be laid out according to the rules and in
accordance with the requirements of articles T21 to
T24 of the law of 18 November 1987.

d'un certificat de réaction au feu suivant les
dispositions de l'Arrêté du 21 novembre 2002 relatif à la
réaction au feu des produits de construction et

All materials used must be certified fi re-resistant in
accordance with the requirements of the law of 21
November 2002 relating to the reaction to fi re of

be submitted by Exhibitors to the Head of Security,
who will make it available to the Safety Committee if
required.

During handling, loads generally permissible are
sometimes concentrated on a reduced surface area.
The resulting depressions or abrasions may cause
serious damage to floor surfaces, regardless of their
composition.
Organisers must ensure that loads are appropriately
distributed by ensuring that their handlers cover the
route used by lifting machinery with level, rigid
surfaces.

dégrader gravement les sols quelle que soit leur

IV.2.3 - FITTINGS AND DECORATIONS
Only category M1 material may be used to decorate
any structure in the conference or exhibition areas.

Stands, podiums, platforms and steps must be
constructed of category M3 materials (cf. article T21

Installers must provide the Head of Safety for the

statements of reaction to fire or valid certificates of
fi reproofing for the materials used.
Il est rigoureusement interdit à un exposant d'alimenter
en électricité un autre stand à partir du coffret de
livraison situé sur son stand.
It is absolutely forbidden for Exhibitors to provide
electricity to other stands from the consumer unit on
their own stand.
La limite entre l'installation semi-permanente de
distribution et l'installation particulière du stand se
situe aux bornes ou aux plages de raccordement du
coffret de livraison. Ce coffret est placé sous la garde
de l'Exposant qui doit en vérifier périodiquement le
bon fonctionnement et signaler toute défaillance à la
Permanence Technique Electricité de VI PARIS SAS.
The installation specific to the stand starts at the
connection terminals or slots of the consumer unit.
This unit is entrusted to the care of the Exhibitor,
who must periodically check that it is operating
properly and notify any fault to the VIPARIS SAS’s
24/7 Technical Electrical Service.
Il est rigoureusement interdit à toute personne, non
mandatée par VIPARIS SAS de faire sauter le plombage
situé sur le capot du coffret et d'intervenir dans le
coffret.
It is absolutely forbidden for anyone not authorised
by VIPARIS SAS to remove the seal from the cover
of the consumer unit and/or open the unit.

ne peuvent être réalisées, sous la responsabilité de
l'Exposant, que par des entreprises particulièrement
averties des risques inhérents aux Manifestations et
possédant les compétences et connaissances leur
permettant de concevoir et d'exécuter les travaux en
conformité avec la réglementation et les règles de
l'art.
Exhibitors are responsible for ensuring that electrical
installations on their stands are carried out only by
companies that are particularly well-informed about
the risks inherent in Events and have the skills and
knowledge to enable them to design and execute the
work in accordance with the relevant rules and
regulations.
Il appartient à l'Exposant de s'assurer que le dispositif
courant différentiel-résiduel du coffret est suffisant
au regard de la réglementation applicable à son
installation électrique particulière et de signaler
toute inadéquation à la Permanence Technique
Electricité de VIPARIS SAS.
Exhibitors are responsible for ensuring that the
residual differential current device in the customer
unit is sufficient with regard to the regulations
applicable to their particular electrical installation
and for notifying VIPARIS SAS’s 24/7 Technical
Electrical Service of any inadequacy.

IV.6.1 - ZONES « TRAITEURS »
IV.6.1 - “CATERING” AREAS
Ces zones ne disposeront pas d'appareils
susceptibles d'être utilisés pour confectionner des
repas. Il s'agit simplement de zones de préparation
de plats froids ou à réchauffer par étuves
électriques alimentées en 220 volts.
These areas will not contain equipment for the
preparation of meals. They are merely areas where
cold dishes can be prepared or food heated using
220-volt electric cookers.
Les règles d'installations seront conformes au
règlement de sécurité pour les établissements
recevant du public.
The rules for these installations will comply with
the safety regulations for commercial venues.

La présentation de ces machines doit répondre aux
conditions fixées par les Articles T39 et T40 de l'Arrêté
du 18 novembre 1987.
The presentation of these machines must meet the
conditions set by articles T39 and T40 of the law of
18 November 1987.
Installations must comply with the requirements of
article T38-1, particularly in respect of limiting the
power of cooking and reheating appliances to less
than 20 KW.
Les installations doivent se conformer aux dispositions
de l'article T38-1 notamment concernant la limitation
de la puissance des appareils de cuisson et de mise
en température à moins de 20 KW.
Dans le cas contraire, l'installation de ces appareils
doit être soit aménagé dans les grandes cuisines
isolées répondant aux dispositions des sections I
et II, soit dans des modules au contenus prévus à
l'article GC18.
Alternatively, these appliances must either be
installed in large separate kitchens meeting the
requirements of sections I and II or in modules
containing the equipment required in terms of article
GC18.
IV.6.2 - MACHINES EN FONCTIONNEMENT

La présentation de ces machines donne lieu à
déclaration au Client.
If equipment is in operation on a stand, a warning to
this effect must be given to visitors to the stand.
IV.7 - REGIE SON, LUMIERE OU AUDIOVISUELLE
IV.7 - SOUND, LIGHT OR AUDIOVISUAL SYSTEMS
Les installations mobiles complémentaires de
sonorisation devront être impérativement raccordées
aux dispositifs permettant la mise hors service du
programme en cours en cas de détection incendie. En
ce sens les articles L 16 et L 22 seront
scrupuleusement respectés notamment dans le cas
de la mise en service d'une sonorisation privée.
It is mandatory for additional mobile public address
installations to be connected to devices enabling
programmes to be interrupted if a fi re is detected.
Articles L16 and L22 will be vigorously applied in
this context, particularly if a private sound system is
used.
IV.8 - MATERIELS, PRODUITS ET GAZ INTERDITS
IV.8 - PROHIBITED MATERIALS, PRODUCTS AND
GASES
Sont interdits, conformément à l'Article T45 de
l'arrêté du 18 novembre 1987 :

télécommandé par radio [Arrêté n' 97.11628 du Préfet
de Police) ;

Police);
- la distribution d'échantillons ou de produits
contenant un gaz inflammables ;
- the distribution of samples or products containing
an inflammable gas;
- les ballons gonflées avec un gaz inflammables ou
toxique ; - les articles en celluloïd ;
- la présence
d'explosifs;
d'artifices
pyrotechniques
- balloons inflated using an inflammable or toxic
gas; - celluloid articles;- the presence of fi reworks
or explosives;
ou
- la présence d'oxyde d'éthyle, de sulfure de
carbone, d'éther sulfurique ou d'acétone.
L'emploi de l'acétylène, de l'oxygène, de l'hydrogène
ou d'un gaz présentant les mêmes risques est interdit,
sauf dérogation particulière accordée par l'autorité
administrative.
