Knowledge itself does not bring about positive values, but
positive values do influence knowledge and put it to a good use.
How we educate the mind will change with the times; how we
cultivate the heart is and will remain timeless
Education is the art of bringing young people to completeness.
Blessed Basil Anthony Moreau
• Will there be a before and after-care service?
Yes. Care is available from 7:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Students
may arrive no earlier than 7:15 a.m. and they must be picked up
by 1:00 p.m. There is no charge for this service.
• How many courses can students take in one day?
Students may take two courses per day. The first session runs
from 8:00-10:00 a.m. and the second runs from 10:10 - 12:10
p.m. Students are not guaranteed time preference for either
session.
• If a student is repeating a course in order to make up credit,
will that student’s overall GPA be affected?
No, for BMHS students. Both grades will appear on the
transcript side by side. Colleges will see that the student took
the class once during the year and in the summer. Hopefully,
the student’s grade will have improved. But, the GPA is
calculated using the original grade the student earned during
the course of the regular academic year.
• Is there any transportation provided for the Summer
Programs?
BMHS does not provide transportation for the Summer School
Program. You may contact Metro Bus and Metrorail for times
and pick up locations.
See our website “About Us/Transportation” for more
information.
