PROCESS
SYL is a Graphic Arts company that was founded in
1958. Housed in a modern and functional building,
SYL facilities cover over 5,000m2 of surface area in
the Cornellà industrial park, just 10 minutes from the
airport and 15 minutes away from the center of
Barcelona.
During the years, the strong search for quality excellence
has leaded the growth of the corporation. This implied the
founding in 1980 of a new company: Auxiliar de Artes
Graficas , devoted to handling operations, and later on, in
January 2000, a new company joined the Group: La General
Estampadora, a company dedicated to die cutting,
embossing, debossing, and foil stamping.
SYL is equipped with the most advanced technology,
allowing it to stand out in a highly competitive
market and export over 45% of its production to
countries such as the United States, UK, France and
Switzerland.
We have the ISO 9002, FSC and PEFC certification and
the experience of almost 100 people for over 55 years
offering an integral service, to help your company and your
products. By controlling the entire production process,
from the development of a dummy , the pre-press, printing,
binding, finishing all kinds of manual and mechanized, and
all in the same company and under successive quality
control.

With the aim of further increasing our service, flexibility, efficiency and
quality SYL has invest in a new Printing Machine, the KBA RAPIDA 106 that
will be installed in our premises by November 2013.

• Printing: Perfecting up to 10 colors or up to 9 + varnish one side of the
press sheet
• Fully automatic plate change

• Extended Control Quality during production.
• Being a last generation printing machine with the highest technology we
are able to offer a high end quality service as well as a much higher printing
quality than the market standards.
•Comparing to regular printing machines the KBA Rapida 106 is about a 50%
more efficient.
•In case you want to come to SYL for Press check, your stay will be shorter
than in a regular 5 color presses: you will save time and money up to a
50% .

Logistics and Export Department
We have export orientation and we service all over Europe and North
America with a department with extensive experience.
Our export commercial team, with proficient English and French, is
considered one of the main departments in the company and is directly
linked to its success. Its management covers the entire sales process and
tracks the work throughout the production, maintaining smooth
communication at all times with the client .
We also know how important are Logistics: your product must arrive in
perfect conditions on time. SYL works closely with a Freight Forwarder
Company that offers global logistics with a special focus on the publishing
industry.
