Emergency Response Plan
Introduction
Northside Water Service is a WS2 System which services from approximately 220
connections and a population of approximately 1000. Mainly residential homes as
well as St John Hospital, Stuart Nechako Manor, Omineca Medical Clinic, Nechako
View Seniors Home, Omineca Mobile Home Park, Health Unit, College of New
Caledonia and 3 apartment complexes.
The Drinking Water Protection Act requires a water supplier to monitor and
protect its drinking water. This plan is to provide guidelines that will minimize
disruption of normal customer services and protect public health and safety if an
incident should occur.
Our ability to respond rapidly and correctly in the event of an emergency will help
prevent unnecessary problems, and help protect our customers.
