This July 4th holiday, Ponte Vedra is again featuring complimentary shuttle
service from the Parking Garage to the Surf Club from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on
Friday. The Garage (located adjacent to the Golf Club) provides more than 250
parking spaces. Our capable staff will gladly transport your family directly to
the Beach Reception Desk at the Surf Club and return you at the end of the
day. We invite you to take advantage of this convenience.

Dive-In Movie
a p p e n i n g s
Two Dive-in Movies will be featured at the Family Pool
in July. On Thursday, July 3 those in attendance will
enjoy the animated favorite RIO. The sequel, RIO 2,
will be featured on Friday, July 25. We invite you to
‘bob and float’ along with others while taking in the
entertainment. Showings begin at dusk.

Night Owls
On two Saturday evenings this month, kids (ages 4-12), will sure to “hoot” over Night Owls Camp. It’s
here that they’ll enjoy a supervised pool swim, pizza, snack and juice. The camps are scheduled July 5 and
July 26 from 6–10 p.m. $45 per child. Here's a great opportunity for parents to dine in the Seahorse Grille.

Trivia Night
A highlight of every July 4th holiday! Please join
us on Friday, July 4 at 9:30 a.m. for the annual Sand
Sculpting Contest on The Surf Club Beach. Bring the
family or a friend and use your imagination. At the
end of the hour, our judges will award prizes for Most
Patriotic, Most Creative and Best Overall. Bring the
materials or supplies needed to help decorate your
creation (only environmentally safe ones, please).

The next Trivia Night for Adults is scheduled for Tuesday,
July 15 in the Golf Club Dining Room. Members,

Glow in the Dark
Pool Party
All are invited to the Family Pool at dusk on Friday,
July 11 for a Glow in the Dark Pool Party. A
selection of glow in the dark items such as beach
balls, necklaces and bracelets will be available for

The Aquatics Department is
featuring a Junior Lifeguard
Camp for July 28–August 1.
This 5-day program provides
youngsters (ages 8–16) with
a step-by-step course in
CAMP
water safety and life guarding
techniques with “safety first” as
the main focus. All candidates must be able to swim a
minimum of 100 yards (four laps in the pool) non-stop.

On Thursday, July 10 from 5–8 p.m., youngsters (ages 5-12), are
invited to participate in a late afternoon of fun and games hosted
by the Recreation Department. Featured will be basketball nets for

and more. The person price of $25 will also include pizza and

The Ponte Vedra Inn & Club’s Camp for Kids is the highlight of every child’s summer vacation. The camp,
offered Monday through Friday features a variety of themed activities for children 4–12 years of age directed by

This month's showcased artist at the Inn's Gallery of Shops is Michelle
Armas. A graduate from the prestigious Portfolio Center in Atlanta, Ms.
Armas paints in acrylic and oil, large and small, abstract and sometimes
portraits. Her works are displayed in numerous galleries throughout the
east coast. She works out of a studio in Decatur, Georgia.

Summer Golf
for
Juniors
The popular Summer Golf Camp for Juniors in underway with a new and expanded
curriculum. In addition to the finest in golf instruction, junior members (ages 7–14)
can expect weekly tournaments, state of the art training aids, ice cream socials, free golf
club giveaways and weekly prizes. Summer Camp is conducted every Monday through
Friday from 9:30–11 a.m. The price is $35 per day, $140 per week or $450 per month.

Here’s a popular mind-body exercise promising a longer, leaner and
stronger body. Using mats and special props, participants will be
guided through a regimen of exercises designed to strengthen the core.
Expect a leaner torso, stronger abs and back and improved posture and

In celebration of our national holiday, the Racquet Club will again host a
“Firecracker” tennis mixer on Saturday, July 5 at 10:30 a.m. The format
is "Mix & Match" and is intended for "FUN" and not overly competitive.
Singles and couples are encouraged to register. No charge for Tennis
Members; for others - only a court fee gains admission to the fun! Call the
Racquet Club at 273-7720 for reservations.
