The Power of Music, The Power of Pride
Music is a powerful tool and we use it to spread
awareness and needed funds for organizations that
our community relies on. So far we have helped
The Hetrick-Martin Institute & The Lesbian, Gay,
Bisexual & Transgender Community Center
flourish. We want to make sure generations to
come will have the opportunity to utilize these
important institutions.
At the core, Broadway Sings for Pride
connects with phenomenal entertainers to
showcase their talents to help the LGBT
community. Proceeds from our shows benefit
worthy LGBT organizations who are truly
making a difference in people’s lives.
Broadway Sings for Pride has worked with
over one hundred Broadway, television,
movie, music, and theater who give up their
time to help further this remarkable cause.
Our goal is not only to make our voices heard
in New York, but all over the country.
While our the staff is mostly volunteer, we
can’t do it alone. We need the help of corporate
and individual sponsors to compound the effect
our efforts. Enclosed are materials explaining
our programs and opportunities.
We consider Broadway Sings for Pride
a big family and we would love for you to
consider being a part of our family. Celebrating Pride Since 2011 www.BwayPride.org • 201-913-3288

Singing Out Strong
The excitement is already brewing for more thrilling endeavors that Broadway Sings for
Pride will bring to New York City during 2012-2013!
Already a staple at holiday times, Broadway Sings for Pride will debut their Second
Annual Broadway Sings for Pride Winter Concert filled with lots of singing, stories,
special celebrity guests and of course fun! The concert will take place in Manhattan in
December 2012. The proceeds will benefit Hetrick-Martin Institute
(http://www.hmi.org), a worthy LGBT youth organization in the New York City area.
Whether it’s a trick or trick you like, Broadway Sings for Pride has got you covered! On
Monday, October 29, 2012, Broadway Sings will branch out again with Broadway After
Dark (or B.A.D. for short) at Splash Nightclub in New York City. The show will take
place at one of New York’s prominent gay clubs! Come feast your eyes on beautiful talent
as they give you just another reason why Halloween is such a naughty holiday. Broadway's
best talent belting their faces off, strut their stuff and give the audience some tricks and
many treats! This show would help raise money for our Winter 2012 show. The show
would feature choreographed numbers with live singers and many creative costumes.
Come as you are or dress up in costume. Either way it will be a wicked night to remember.
In June 2013, Broadway Sings for Pride will unite the community to celebrate New York
City’s Gay Pride! Broadway Sings for Pride’s Third Annual Gay Pride Concert
will join forces with activists, the Broadway community, celebrities and more to honor gay
pride and give back to the community. Proceeds from the concert will benefit

History & Legacy
Broadway Sings For Pride is an exciting non-for-profit charitable organization, which
brings together Broadway talent, activists and celebrities to promote LGBT equality
through song. Broadway Sings for Pride’s mission is a two-fold purpose: to present highquality professional entertainment at affordable prices, while also raising money to provide
community groups with funding for their family counseling, anti-bullying, and other youth
services offered to the LGBT community. Broadway Sings for Pride involves some of the
brightest stars in entertainment today.
Founded in the spring of 2011 in response to the tragic suicides within LGBT community,
Broadway Sings for Pride founder Neal Bennington realized something had to be done to
make sure the community, and especially the younger generations knew there were voices
out there to support them. Neal had an idea to utilize some of New York’s best talent- the
theater community and beyond. Reaching out, dozens of performers gladly wanted to help
further this. The response was so overwhelming, which resulted in Broadway Sings for
Pride’s inaugural concert on June 27, 2011. The sold out concert featured stories and
music with many luminaries from television, Broadway, and the music industries. Since
then, Broadway Sings for Pride has held their annual winter concerts and Gay Pride
concerts which raised thousands for the Hetrick-Martin Institute and The Lesbian, Gay,
Bisexual & Transgender Community Center of New York City.
Our dream is to do more of these events, with more frequency, in more places. This will,
along with giving our community more opportunities for good shows, do more good for
people who truly need it.
With the support of the Broadway community, and many loyal supporters, this is only the
beginning.
