October 4 - Springdale Nazarene Church
CRISIS
KITS
Crisis Care Kits are bags of personal
hygiene items collected by NMI (Nazarene
Missions International) to be distributed to
areas hit by disaster anywhere in the world.
Last year, our church filled 78 bags to be
added to those collected from all over the
Southwest Ohio. Our goal is to fill 100
bags this year!
October 4, 2015
9:30 & 11:00 AM
If you are a guest today, welcome! We invite you to enjoy
complimentary coffee in the Atrium. We would love to get to know you –
please take a moment and complete a Connect Card located in the pew
back. There are age-specific ministry opportunities available for your
children from birth through 12th grade.
We hope you enjoy your visit!
This week at SNC:
You can help by picking up an
empty bag, which contains an
instruction sheet, at the Sanctuary
Information Desk and purchasing
the contents for the bag (cost is
typically around $20). Thanks
for helping missions!

OUR NEXT THRIVE SERVICE - celebrating life through baptism, church membership &

NEWCOMERS/MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION CLASS: If you would like to know the
beliefs and doctrines of the Nazarene Church and what it means to become a member,
please check box 1 on your Connect Card. The class will be held on Sunday, October
11, from 3-5PM at the Norwood campus. This is an informational class only & does not
commit you in any way to becoming a member.
Seeds of Faith happens on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 7:30 for kids
two years of age through kindergarten. Join us for some FUN!! The
nursery is open for babies, too!
Little Sprouts Learning Center: We have 53 students enrolled so far in
our weekday preschool this fall. Tell your friends about our great
preschool program! Tuition is only $100/month!
Missions for Young Children: Help your child focus on others by
collecting loose change & bringing it to church to help our young friend,
Luis, learn about Jesus in Ecuador. Talk to your child about sharing Jesus
through finances, prayer & love around the world.
DO YOU HAVE A LOVED ONE SERVING IN THE UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES?
Please join our Springdale Nazarene Military Support Group TODAY in the Fireside
Room for a free luncheon after second service. We will enjoy food & fellowship as we
write Veterans Day cards to our service men and women. Families are invited.
A KEY FOB WAS FOUND in the parking lot recently. If you have lost your vehicle fob,
please call the church office.
THE SNC AFRICAN FELLOWSHIP meets on the second & last Sunday of each month
following the second service in room 303 (upstairs). It is all praise and worship to the
Lord the African way! Anyone is welcome to attend.
WE EXTEND OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY to Charles Patterson in the loss of his
mother, Mildred Patterson.
Team Lift Student Leaders: If you didn’t get your application turned in last
week and are still interested in becoming a student leader, please see Pastor
Landon.
We are in the fourth & final week of our series, “Opportunity Knocks.” The
memory verse for this series is Luke 16:10a....”whoever can be trusted with
very little can also be trusted with much.”
Midweek at SNC: Like any healthy family, we like to get together! Elementary
students gather each Wednesday night at 6:30pm for large group activities,
Bible study, prayer, and hanging out in the gym to wrap up the night.
element student ministries (Grades 7-12)
THIS MORNING: All students (grades 7-12) are invited back to the youth room
following the first service. This week we will meet in elemental worship during the
11am hour. Elemental worship/groups are designed as our weekly connect piece for
students here at SNC.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Each Wednesday night we gather into Pursuit groups. We
meet from 6:45-7:45PM. Show up early for games and homemade donuts in the
youth room. If you are not yet in a Pursuit group and would like to join, please see
Pastor Josh.
The SNC Missions Council would like to thank everyone for making our annual auction a
success once again! We want to thank our auctioneers, Pastors Landon & Rob and our computer
people who keep incredibly busy the night of the auction. Many thanks to Jeff Dressing for his
computer expertise and for helping us set up the program on our computers. A heartfelt thanks to
everyone who helped set up & tear down the gym and Fireside Room. We are very grateful to all
those who helped with the bake sale and the actual auction. For all those who donated goods and
services and those who came and bid on items - you are greatly appreciated! You have helped us
raise money for missions!
