American Century Championship Golf Bag Auction
In partnership with NBC Sports and the 2015 American Century Celebrity Golf Championship,
Vessel will provide celebrity golf tournament participants with a custom stand golf bag, which will be
autographed by each celebrity and auctioned during the tournament.
Interested bidders can visit CelebrityGolfBags.com or text message the word “GOLFBAG” to 52182
to bid on their favorite celebrity’s golf bag. The auction will open July 14 at 12 a.m. and closes July
19 at 3 p.m. PST. Winners will be announced on July 19.
The minimum starting bid for a celebrity golf bag is $200. From there, bids increase in increments of
$50. All proceeds from the celebrity golf bag auction go directly to the Stowers Institute for Medical
Research, a research organization focused on the development of innovative approaches to treat,
diagnose and prevent cancer.
Last year, Green Bay Packers’ Quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ golf bag auctioned for $2,000, followed
by Jim McMahon, Roger Clemens, Brian Urlacher and Annika Sorenstam.
The auction generated $48,080.30 for the Stowers Institute for Medical Research.

Q: Does the white fabric get dirty easily?
A: W
hile white fabrics tend to show dirt and
stains more easily, rest assured that all Vessel
fabric types are easy to clean! Leather is
extremely durable and lasts many years,
however, you will want to occasionally clean
and condition the leather. For synthetic
materials, a simple cleaning with mild soap
and water will go a long way in extending
your bag’s life.
Q: How do I know which
golf bag is right for me?

Staff bags are larger and heavier in size, and

Celebrity Golf Tournament to Be Outfitted with Custom Vessel Golf Bags
to Support Stowers Institute for Medical Research
June 2, 2015 (CARLSBAD, Calif.) — Vessel today announced a renewed partnership with American
Century Investments and NBC Sports, who will design custom golf bags for the anticipated 26th
Annual American Century Championship (ACC) on July 14 – July 19, at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Club.
The tournament is held annually to benefit the Stowers Institute for Medical Research.
As part of the partnership, Vessel will customize a stand golf bag for the more than 80 celebrities
participating in the tournament. Celebrities will sign his or her golf bag when they arrive at the
tournament before each bag is made available for auction.
All proceeds from the autographed bags will go toward funding medical research. Last year, Vessel
raised nearly $50,000 for the Stowers Institute for Medical Research.

autographed golf bags will begin at $200.
The American Century Championship is the premier celebrity golf tournament, featuring athletes,

The Solheim Cup combines the tradition and prestige of the game of golf with passion
for one’s country. This biennial, trans-Atlantic team match-play competition features
the best U.S.-born players from the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA)
Tour and the best European members from the Ladies European Tour (LET).
