(US D). Tabor Ranch, Inc., is agent for the above named stallion, will herein be referred
to as breeder.
I. A booking fee of
is payable with this contract and the balance of $
, plus all unpaid expenses will be
payable upon receipt of an invoice or when the mare leaves the farm, or prior to shipment if shipped semen is needed, whichever is first.
In the event breeding is purchased through a stallion service auction a $350 non-refundable chute fee is applicable for all contracts. The
Breeder requires 48 hours advance notice when the Mare Owner wishes to remove his mare (5) from the [ann. This will allow sufficient
time to prepare the final statement so the Owner may settle his account. The Booking fee is non-refundable. 1.5% Interest will be charged
on all accounts in excess of thirty days.
2. A photostatic copy of registration papers (both sides), a veterinarian's health certificate, including uterine culture, wonning and
immunization records. If these are not presented upon mare's arrival, the Breeder shall have the attending veterinarian make proper tests
and evaluations at the Mare Owner's expense. Tetanus and sleeping sickness injections shall be administered while the mare is being
bred at Mare Owner's expense. Flu and rhinopneul11onitis vaccine must be given before the mare arrives. A current Coggins test shall be
furnished upon delivery of mare to the breeding fann. All mares arriving at Tabor Ranch shall receive a strangles vaccination regardless of
previous vaccination history.
3. The Mare Owner shall agree that each mare offered for breeding shall be in sound breeding condition and free from infection or disease.
Any mare certified by the attending veterinarian not to be, in his opinion, in sound breeding condition, shall not be bred. Mare Owner may
substitute another mare within that breeding season.
4. The Breeder agrees to diligently try and settle the above named mare and shall have sole discretion of determining the best method of
breeding such mare. Ifhowever, the mare does not settle, the Breeder shall be held hannless. There will be no guarantee of a live foal for
any mare leaving Tabor Ranch on or before being checked safe in foal by the attending veterinarian. Mare owner agrees that stallion ownel
and/or Manager does not make any guarantees as to the quality, or conformation of the foal, nor that the foal will be free of any infilmity,
confonnation defect, disease or inherit trait.
5. Live Foal Guarantee. Live foal means the foal shall stand and nurse. It is understood that if the mare proves barren, aborts her foal or if
the foal is stillborn, a return season will be guaranteed the following year only, providing proper notification is give. Proper notification
shall be defined as follows: Written certification by a licensed veterinarian within seven days that the mare has slippeo or produced a
non-viable foal. Mare Owner certifies that such abortion or death did not result from any act or omission of the Owner subsequent to the
mares departure from Tabor Ranch. A breeders certificate will be issued to mare Owner after all expenses have been pain in full and upon
notification of birth of the foal.
6. Color Foal Guarantee: If the resulting foal is not eligible for regular paint registry, subject to AQHA registry not being available, the
mare may be rebred in the current season, provided one half advertised stud fee is paid. In the event that said mare cannot be rebred in the
current year because of extenuating circumstance, transfer of the reb reed to ONLY the following year will incur and additional $500 fee.
Should the mare owner request this option, the stallion owner must be notified of the reasons for this request within 2 weeks of birth. A
breeders certificate will be issued to mare Owner after all expenses have been paid in full and upon notification of birth of the foal.
7. Waiver of Liability. It is understood that the
injury, escape, disability, or death of any horse
Ranch will not be liable or responsible for any
animals in the care of Tabor Ranch whether of
breeding fann, its owners, employees, veterinarians, and guests shall not be liable for any
on its premises. The above named Mare Owner, whose horse (s) are under the care of Tabor
damage, injury or death to the breeding farm stallions, employees, veterinarians, or other
not caused by his horse.
8. The breeding season shaIl begin Feb. 1st and close July 1st of the year covered by this contract. It is further agreed that should the
above named stallion die, or become unfit for service; or, if the above named mare dies, during the breeding season then the Mare Owner
may substitute another mare or breed the above name mare to another stallion on the farm that is agreed to by both the Mare Owner and
Breeder.
9. Mare owner or a representative may pick up semen at farm for a charge of $150.
10. Orders for shipments are fiIled on a first come, first served basis. Orders must be placed by 5 p.m. C.S.T the night before the necessary
collection day. The mare owner is responsible for shipping charges for cancellations received after shipment has already been sent.
Shipment orders cannot be guaranteed if they are placed via e-mail, you must caIl to confirm.
