The Montgomery campus earned independent accreditation in 1983, as did the Dothan campus in 1985. The

Troy University Global Campus meets the needs of
working adults, including military, government agency
civilians, teachers and future business leaders who
want the opportunities that come with earning a
degree. Because adult learners often have different
educational needs than traditional students, courses
are provided at times and in formats designed around
people who work and have other commitments for
their time.
The Troy Global Campus delivers Troy University’s
academic programs outside the state of Alabama. It is
comprised of five geographic regions with
approximately sixty sites located throughout the
United States and abroad, and administers Troy
University’s on-line (e Campus) offerings. Academic
programs and course offerings are the joint responsibility of the academic colleges’ deans, the academic
colleges and departments as well as Global Campus
personnel. The hiring approval, certification and
academic review of Global Campus faculty are the
responsibility of the academic colleges’ deans in
consultation with Global Campus personnel. Most
Global Campus courses are delivered in an accelerated
schedule of five ten-week terms annually. Student
support services are available at all Global Campus
sites.

Jubail Industrial College has its roots in 1978 when the
Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu established a
skills training center, to develop skilled manpower
required by the Kingdom. In 1982, the skills training
center was upgraded into an institute named the Royal
Commission Jubail Human Resources Development
Institute. The Manpower Council of the Government
of Saudi Arabia issued a Royal decree in 1989 to
transform the institute into a full fledged engineering
and business college, named the Jubail Industrial
College. This was established to serve the educational
and training needs of the newly created Jubail
Industrial City and the local and regional community of
the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Architectural firm Guildamaster. The college spreads
over an area of 1.37 million square meters of land. It is
a self-contained site that includes - educational,
administrative, and residential buildings, cafeterias, a
mosque, library, and gymnasium. The site has been
developed with a number of shaded trees, fountains
and greeneries as a part of social responsibility to
make the educational environment very conducive for
learning process. As the college campus is situated in
the residential district of Jubail Industrial City, it is
strategically located not only to provide postsecondary education for the children of in-migrant
working population of Jubail and the Kingdom, but
also to serve the training needs of the industries and
other organizations located in the industrial city.
Jubail Industrial College, the Kingdom’s largest and
most sophisticated, is a 'semi autonomous’ technical
institute governed by the Board of Directors of the
Royal Commission. JIC is an outstanding example of
how relevant modern education, in support of
industrial development can transform a rural society
into a modern vibrant one. It is also a successful
example of how planned industrial and educational
developments can work hand in hand in an integrated
self-sustaining industrial city.

Jubail Industrial College occupies a spacious campus in

EMBA PROGRAM INFORMATION
Purpose of EMBA
The purpose of the program is to provide an advanced level of general business
education which will enable participants from professionally diverse backgrounds to be
successful in management positions both in the private and public sector organizations.
This is an executive development program.
Participants
Troy University global standard EMBA program in General Management is suitable
primarily for first-line and middle ranking managers, engineers, technologists,
supervisors, and organization staff members with responsibilities in industry, business
and other public and private sector organizations who aspire to move up in managerial
positions. The EMBA program is open to all nationalities living and working in Saudi
Arabia.
The curriculum allow the EMBA program to meet specific corporate or other organizational needs in contractual programs. As a result of successfully completing the EMBA
program, graduates should improve their ability to apply problem solving skills to the
strategic planning process in organizations and to use written and verbal communication
skills effectively to communicate the results of their problem-solving analyses and
recommendations.

Requirements
All participants will be pre-registered upon completion of required documentation. TROY
approved candidates will be registered with TROY as TROY EMBA student.
The EMBA program consists of 12 taught courses or 36 semester hours and one Capstone
Course (Business Strategy) to complete the program. Each course will cover a period
between six to nine weeks. The program duration is between 18 to 24 months including
holidays
Classes will be conducted by TROY faculty members in face to face mode for at least 25
contact hours and supplemented by online delivery through Blackboard system for an
additional 20 contact hours. Additional support from JIC faculty will be provided as
required. The program will be offered at Troy EMBA site located in the ground floor of
MIT department of JIC. MIT Department of JIC is fully equipped with SMART multimedia
classrooms, conference rooms, case study rooms, and fully equipped computer labs with
both internet and intranet facilities. Wireless facility in also available in the MIT building.
Successful completion of the courses listed in the program with an overall grade point
average of 3.0 (A=4.0) is necessary to fulfill requirements for the EMBA degree.
If a ‘D” or ‘F’ is made in a core course or a restricted elective course, the course must be
retaken. TROY university will grant degree to all successful candidates.

Credit transfer for
EMBA Graduates
Graduates can seek credit transfer to all accredited programs in the USA and abroad at
TROY campuses and also other universities subject to credit transfer agreements.
Tuition fee and Cost of
program
Tuition fee is SAR 95,000 for the whole program payable in installments. Other costs
include: a) SAR200 application fee (non-refundable), b) $ 60 (USD) graduation fee and c)
TOEFL and GMAT test fees.
Student status of EMBA
participants
All EMBA program participants will be TROY university students and will receive TROY
student ID cards. JIC will also issue ID cards for access to JIC facilities.
Program schedule
The program will be delivered in the evenings (after office hours) and in weekends to suit
the needs of employed participants.
Transfer of credit
A maximum of two courses (six semester hours) taken at another regionally accredited
institution, each with a grade of “B” or better, can be applied toward a degree.
Transfer of Students to
other TROY campus
Students can transfer and complete their studies at the Sorrell Business School of Troy
University, USA during the program. Students can also attend graduation at Troy
University campus, USA or at JIC.
Blackboard is a course management system used throughout the Troy University System.
The Blackboard System allows faculty to post materials and assignments, deliver tests,
hold online discussions and many other course related functions. Only those faculty and
students currently teaching or taking courses through the Blackboard System will have
access to the system during any given term/semester. Troy University is currently running
Blackboard version 8.0. To login to the Troy University Blackboard site you can go to

The Troy University Libraries (http://library.troy.edu) hold a wide variety of resources in
multiple formats, including print, multimedia (CD, DVD, video, audio cassettes, microfilm,
and microfiche) as well as electronic linkages both on the library network and on the
Internet to libraries and information sources worldwide.

with access to a multitude of online databases containing more than 19,000 full text
journals, partial full text and/or bibliographic journal references and over 50,000 online

location. Assistance is also available through e-mail Ask a Librarian and through Live Chat
an online chat service, available 24/7 when classes are in session. An online Tutorial on
using the Library resources is available on TROY Library Web pages.

Students not satisfying the minimum graduate admission test score (TOEFL and
GMAT) and GPA requirements for unconditional admission may be conditionally admitted to the program which is as follows:
a. Student completes first three courses with ‘B’ or better average, will be granted
unconditional admission.
b. Student not satisfying conditional admission requirements will be dropped from
the program for one calendar year, after which time the student must petition for
readmission.
c. A letter of recommendation is required for all applications to the EMBA program.
The recommendation letter should address the individual’s potential for success in
the EMBA program as well as his written and oral communication skills.

The course examines ethical problems and issues faced by
managers in the American business and industry with attention
to analyzing issues and developing recommended approaches to
increase long-term organizational effectiveness.
Conceptual and practical foundations of information systems to
include support of management and decision-making functions,
computer system project management, economic and legal
considerations of management information systems, and system
implementation/ evaluation.
A study of sources and classifications of accounting data,
classification and behavior of revenues and costs, use of
accounting data for profit planning and cost control, and use of
accounting data for special analysis.

Course Description
EMBA 6640 This course provides an in-depth study of the
fundamental theories, concepts, and principles of statistics.
Coursework will include extensive use and application of
statistical tools to analyzing business data using statistics
software. Topics covered include descriptive statistics,
probability distributions, sampling, estimation, hypothesis
testing, ANOVA and regression analysis.

EMBA 6641 An analysis of the probabilistic and deterministic
quantitative techniques available to the business manager
involved in the decision making process of the market place.
Included is an evaluation of the models and processes now
available for problem-solving purposes.
A comprehensive and advanced study of financial analysis,
planning, and control techniques for a business entity with
emphasis on corporations.
A study of the decision-making process of business firms in the
resource allocation process. Both the functioning of markets and
the decisions of firms in a variety of market structures are
considered. Various theories of the firm are used to study the
optimal decision-making rules for business firms under
conditions of uncertainty.
An application of marketing concepts, principles and procedures
for planning, development, implementation and control of
marketing programs in profit and non-profit organizations.
Emphasis is on the matching of organization resources and
strengths with global marketing opportunities, and strategies to
overcome environmental threats.

Course Description
An analysis of the conditions under which production and
management of goods and services take place in business
organizations with attention to the delineation of roles played
by management and labor in carrying out production and
application of selected quantitative techniques used in
production.
An overview of recruitment, selection, training, retention,
compensation, and termination of employees and the
relationship of an HR strategy to the strategic and operational
roles of general managers.
A study of problem or problems using research techniques.
Selection of the problem must be approved by the student’s
adviser, the instructor under whom the study is to be made, and
the appropriate dean or site director. Preparation of an applied
research paper is required and may involve an oral defense.
This course is the capstone course in the EMBA program. It
integrates the skills and knowledge developed in earlier courses
and emphasizes case analysis. Formulation and implementation
of strategies are stressed. The course includes an end-of-course
comprehensive examination. A grade of "B" or better is required
to complete this course successfully. Students should be in the
last term of their program when completing this course.
