Community Resource Guide 2012
Connecting People, Services and Community
Welcome to the 2012 edition of the Community Resource Guide for Burnaby and New Westminster. This
year we have added an alphabetical index to make it easier for readers to find the services and resources
available in our community.
Every effort was made to ensure the accuracy of our information at the time of publication. However, we
always strongly recommend that you use the contact numbers and websites to verify the details of the
listings, including days and times of operation or fees for services. As we continue to improve and
enhance the Guide, we encourage your comments and suggestions for future inclusions, changes or deletions.
Disclaimer
The inclusion of agencies in the Community Resource Guide does not constitute endorsement, nor does
omission constitute disapproval.
Distribution
The Community Resource Guide is being delivered by the Burnaby Now and the New West Record to select
neighbourhoods. The Guide will also be available for pick-up at various locations throughout Burnaby and
New Westminster, including public libraries, recreation and community centres, career centres,
government and non-profit agencies. Copies can also be ordered online by visiting our website at
www.BurnabyCommunityConnections.com or by calling our office at 604-299-5778. Printable versions are
also available on our website.

Whether a young family raising a child or a senior living independantly, each of us will need help
at some time in our lives, for ourselves or for our loved ones. Knowing that your community will
be there for you can make the difference between remaining lost or finding your way to help.
To make a valuable contribution to your community, please donate over the phone, securely on
our website, or directly to our office.
With your help we can:
• Give a toy to a child through the Burnaby Christmas Bureau
• Sponsor a family with food and gifts for the holidays
• Help a senior by sponsoring them with a Senior’s Christmas Hamper
• Provide subsidy for a child to attend the summer camp of their choice through the Burnaby
Camping Bureau
• Help people find the services they need through various publications including our Community
Resource Guide
