Here at the Meadowlands Racetrack we combine tradition with contemporary taste to offer an exciting
atmosphere backed by over 30 years of tradition. If you’re tired of going to the same old restaurant or
crowded bar for your birthdays and other events, you’ve come to the right place! We are 100% committed to making sure your experience is unique and packed with action. You name an event - and we
do it! Whether it’s a small birthday party to a massive catered reunion, we cover it with ease. Not only
do we have a large selection of rooms and venues for you to find your perfect fit, our menu is completely customizeable so you have complete control of just how great your event can be.
And we can’t forget about the thrill of live racing action! Our array of unique services will make sure
your experience is fun and personalized: present a trophy in the winner’s circle, watch as a personal
welcome lights up the finish line jumbotron, learn from the best in a private handicapping session, and
much more!
We pride ourselves in providing many options so your event is exactly how you want it, but if there’s

your event
BOOKING YOUR EVENT
As the exclusive caterer for the Meadowlands Racetrack, Sodexo looks forward to making your event memorable. A sales manager will tentatively hold a function date up to 14 days without a deposit or contract. To confirm an event as definite, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the
estimated revenue or the food and beverage minimum for the space reserved, whichever is greater, and a signed contract is required 10 business days after booking.
All food and beverage is subject to a 22% gratuity or service charge and 7% sales tax,
admission, and program unless otherwise specified in a packaged menu. Additional line item labor charges may still apply. Check with your sales manager for further clarification.
FACILITY
There are no facility rental fees, if you meet a minimum purchase of food and beverage for each specified room. Please note the food and beverage minimums must be met before tax, gratuity and admissions is added. If you do not meet the minimum, the difference will be charged as a room rental fee.
GUARANTEES
A final attendance guarantee must be specified by 12 Noon, ten business days prior to the event. This guarantee is not subject to reduction. If a guarantee is not received ten business days prior to the event, the estimated count will be used as the final guarantee. Attendance
increases after the final guarantee is due no later than four business days prior to the event and is subject to the Chef’s approval, who reserves the right to substitute menu items. We will
prepare for 10% above the guarantee, and you will be charged whichever is greater, the
guarantee or number of guests served.
EVENT DETAILS
All arrangements should be finalized at least four weeks in advance of your function. A Banquet Event Order and, if applicable, floor plan of your event will be submitted to you for approval. It is the client’s responsibility to review all arrangements, notify your event coordinator of any changes, and return the agreement signed at least three weeks prior to the date of the function.

ADMISSION AND PROGRAMS ON SATURDAY NIGHTS
Please note that groups in Terrace Suites, Terrace Restaurant and Paddock Park will incur a $2 admission and $2 program free.
Pegasus and Presidents room will incur a $3 admission fee and $2 program fee.
PAYMENT
Sodexo accepts payments by money order, credit card, personal and/or corporate check.
Checks should be made payable to Sodexo Inc. A signed copy of the contract and deposit of 50% of the estimated food, beverage and rental fee(s) is due within ten business days of
booking. The final balance must be paid in full by 12 noon, ten days prior to the event based
on the final guaranteed number of guests. Should proper payment not be received within the
designated time, Sodexo reserves the right to cance the event. Any additional charges during the event will be due within 5 business days following the completion of the event. Payments can be

TICKETS
Special tickets will be provided to expedite your group’s entry to the Meadowlands. Upon receipt of the final payment, admission tickets will be sent to the group representative for advance
distribution. The group representative will be responsible for distributing tickets to each
individual guest.
STAFFING CHARGE
Additional staffing charges may apply for set up and staffing extended service events. Check with your sales managers for further clarification.
UNIQUE SERVICES
Put yourself in the Winnerss Circle
Without the expense of owning a racehorse, you can reach the Winners’ Circle and pose witht he winning driver, owner and trainer. As a race sponsor, your company or group name will be featured in our program and on the infield message board. Also, any three members you designate will be invited into the Winners’ Circle to present the
trophy and you will be sent a photo to proudly display. The cost is $150.
Betting Vouchers
Prepaid betting vouchers may be arranged in advance. Please speak with your group sales representative for further information regarding betting vouchers.

Handicapper Session
New to the track? Add a personal session with one of our track Handicappers. They will
help you navigate reading the program, placing a bet, and may have a tip or two to
share. By the end of the night, everyone in your party will be handicapping like a pro. The cost is $150.
Paddock Tour
Allow one of our staff members to give you a unique behind the scens tour of the back paddock. You will watch the horses, drivers, and trainers prepare for the big race. The cost is $150.
Valet
Prepaid valet parking tickets are available upon request for an additional cost of $5 per vehicle.

PEGASUS
Pegasus provides stunning interior, elegant bars,
flat screen monitors viewable from every seat, all
with a view of the New York City skyline. Dining
for large groups on every live racing night or any
other occasion.

HAMBLETONIAN ROOM
The Hambletonian Room is ideal for larger groups of 75 to 180. Located in the center of
Pegasus, it provides a private, quiet, and sophisticated setting for parties or business meetings,
followed by a dazzling array of culinary delights.

TERRACES TRACKSIDE
Terraces at Trackside provides a casual setting
in our tiered dining room. Each table offers a
perfect view of the track as well as a personal
TV monitor to ensure you don’t miss a single
moment of the action. Buffet dining available
Friday and Saturday live racing days.
Group reservations of 20 or more are available for the Terrace buffet.
TERRACE SUITES
The Terrace Suites offer the same splendid view of the track as Trackside, but with the added
feature of being in your own private room. Each suite offers a terrific food, in-suite bar,
personal teller, and private restroom. The Terrace Suites are an intimate and cozy setting for
groups of 25 to 60.

PADDOCK PARK
Paddock Park, located at the top of the homestretch,
is the perfect venue for family outings or company
picnics under a private party tent. Each of our three
tents hold about 50 to 70 guests. Come out and
enjoy a picnic under the stars on a beautiful summer
night and cheer your favorite horses on to victory.

PRESIDENT’S ROOM
The President’s Room is an excellent choice for an upscale and sophisticated party, for groups of 25
to 50. Directly overlooking the finish line, this private VIP room provides an unsurpassed view of the
action. The President’s Room offers a first class meal of your choice, in-room bar, personal teller, and
private restroom.

Each guest will be responsible for purchasing his or her own beverages. If they
wish, they may run a tab at the table to be paid for at the end of the evening.
A credit card will be taken by the server at the beginning of the event for such
bills. Please note that cash beverage arrangements are not available in the

Beverage on Consumption Basis
Beverage service will be provided for your guests throughout the evening. A
running account of all drinks ordered will be kept. At the completion of the
vent, your captain will present the final beverage check to your spokesperson
for payment. Please advise us if you wish to limit service, for example,
offering beer and wine only, or placing a “cap”, for the total dollar figure on
the amount you would like to spend.
Drink Tickets
You may supply your guests with drink tickets to control the amount of beverages consumed. A running tab will be kept of the items ordered by your ticket
holders for presentation at the end of the evening. No drinks will be placed
on your tab without a ticket. We request a credit card number in advance to

AUDIO VISUAL SERVICES
Limited Audio Visual needs are serviced and provided by Meadowlands Racetrack. Their services may include, but are not limited to, podiums, power, easels, screens, video recordings and
projectors. Please inquire further for a cost.
The sales team will secure a provider for any AV needs and pass on cost to each client.
BANNERS AND SIGNAGE
The Sales team can design and order a foam core welcome sign for an additional $40 for your event.
Event Signage that you are providing should be delivered no more than 3 business days prior
to the event, to the Meadowlands Racetrack Group Sales Office. Signage should be light-weight material, suitable for hanging indoors, with roping and grommets. No signage may be hung outdoors, unless prior approval from Meadowlands Racetrack. All signage will be hung on
interior pre-determined guide wires within your rented event space. Additional costs may apply.
BARTENDER FEES
Cash and Consumption Bars require one bartender per every 75. $150 for each bartender up to four hours and $50 for each additional hour.
COAT CHECK
At the clients’ request, coat check will be provided in seasonal weather with one attendant per 150 guests, $150 for up to four-hours, and $35 for each additional hour.
DANCE FLOORS
The Meadowlands Racetrack Group Sales can provide a dance floor through a rental company. Please ask your group sales representative for pricing.
DECORATIONS
Decorations, posters, signs or displays brought into the Meadowlands Racetrack Group Sale
must be approved before the event. Items may not be permanently attached or attached with abrasive material. The following machines are not permitted unless arranged by your group 39
sales manager: Popcorn, Peanuts, Snow, Fog or Bubble, Spray String, Confetti and Cotton
Candy. No open flame décor is permitted. Balloons are permitted only when weighted.
Charges may apply if a lift is required to remove any balloons from the ceilings after an event. Charges will apply for any damage incurred.

Sodexo Leisure is the exclusive caterer, who holds the liquor license and board of health permits within the Meadowlands Racetrack. No outside food, beverage or alcohol may be brought into the facility.

Any event occurring on a holiday will be charged an additional 25% staffing charge.
LINEN
A limited palette of napkin colors is available at no charge. Specialty items such as chair covers
with sashes, slip covers, overlays, spandex and custom colors are available for an additional charge. A limited supply of house linen can be provided based on availablity.
LOAD-IN AND LOAD-OUT
All vendors with and/or including: displays, exhibits, decoration, equipment and entertainment must enter and check in at the Meadowlands Racetrack Group Sales office then use the east
tunnel loading dock entrance at the rear of the building for loading and unloading.
NON-PROFIT EVENTS
Once the food and beverage minimum is achieved all Non-Profit Agencies, Clubs or
Organizations will receive a 10% discount on food, beverage, and facility rentals. A current 501C3 status form must be submitted to receive a discount.
PACKAGES AND PACKAGE HANDLING
Parcels or packages may be delivered up to three days prior to your event. A $15 per package or $175 per pallet charge will apply to all incoming and outgoing packages. Outgoing
packages must have pre-arranged shipping charges through a carrier. Incoming packages must

PARKING
There are over 2400 complimentary parking spaces surrounding the Meadowlands Racetrack, available on a first come, first serve basis. Pre-paid Valet Parking tickets are available upon
request for an additional cost of $5 per car.

SECURITY
The Meadowlands Racetrack is a 24-hour secure building with an on-site security command center and onsite EMS staff. Cameras are located on the perimeter and in select interior rooms
and hallways. As the exclusive provider of security, the Meadowlands Racetrack will determine the extent of your security needs and arrange for licensed interior/ exterior security, police, traffic police, and/or EMS. If additional security services are required there will be additional costs for those services.
SMOKING
The Meadowlands Racetrack is a smoke free facility as mandated by state law. Designated
outdoor areas are available.
STAFFING
Each event requires specific staffing to meet the needs of the event. Sodexo will determine the number of staffing required for your event based on the anticipated number of guests.

Where to Go?
Monday-Friday nights the last bus will depart
Meadowlands Racetrack bound for NYC Port
Authority at 11:16 p.m.; Saturday night the
final bus departs for NYC Port Authority at
11:20 p.m.

The Bus Stop Located at Valet Road, directly
across from the West Grandstand Entrance.
BY TAXI:
At times when NJ TRANSIT bus or rail service
is not operating for events at the Meadowlands, customers traveling to the Meadowlands Racetrack will be accommodated by
taxi service from Secaucus Junction.
How it Works:
• Visit the Secaucus Junction Customer
Service Office (located in the Rotunda) to
exchange your Meadowlands ticket for
roundtrip taxi vouchers. Vouchers are only
valid on the date issued.
• Go to the taxi lane outside Secaucus
Junction. Voucher taxi service to the racetrack is provided by "Good Fellas Taxi
Service" (Vouchers will not be accepted by
other taxi services).
• Present your voucher to the taxi driver.
• To return to Secaucus, call Good Fellas
Taxi Service at (201) 953-2929 at least 30
minutes prior to your desired pick-up time.
• Present your return-trip voucher to the
taxi driver.
Upon entering complex, follow signs
for racetrack. Guests can self park
in lot M or L; if you would like to
valet your car, you may do so at the
clubhouse and pegasus valets.
