Solution
Based on a site of a priory this property was
built in 1733 and is now run by the National
Trust.
Dearnleys proposed the Astralux 5000
tensioned roller blind system to be fitted
horizontally across the base of the rooflight.
The stable block was being refurbished to
create a multi-use function room so the ability to
control the light from the original rooflight above
was required.
To reduce the amount of surface wiring these
motorised blinds were controlled using a radio
controlled (wireless) handset. The blinds travel
from each side of the rooflight and meet in the
centre but can be stopped at any point.
Given the height of the installation electric
operation was essential.
Manually operated roller blinds were also
installed on the vertical windows.
