What We Aim To Do
We are regional publications with a community appeal that showcase the persons, places and
ideas that makes living the local yoga lifestyle so special and unique. We aim to put an authentic
voice to the local and regional, as well as the national yoga industry.
Why We Are Doing It
We are a breath of fresh air from your big label publications giving everyone the chance to be
seen, heard and read about in their own community. All this also comes with a national connection to other regional yoga publications.

Our readers ARE your customers. Part of a $290 billion dollar marketplace in the U.S. alone,
conscious consumers are virtually untapped in the LOHAS (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability) marketplace and these people DO YOGA. February 2005 statistics published in Yoga Journal
show that the overall yoga market is a $3 billion business comprising 16.5 million active participants, or 7.5 percent of U.S. adults. As yoga infiltrates American culture, we are anticipating the

We are a privately owned company while each of our region’s titles are owned and operated locally with a national collaboration. We are stronger together than we are apart.
Covers
All of our covers are unique to their market. We often run “cover contests” in hopes of showcasing new and authentic locations, people and products in each publication. We do shoot our own
covers and will partner with local vendors in producing the shot.
contributors
Our mission is to give a voice to those who may otherwise have found themselves without. Anyone
can contribute to Y+L. Send us your pitch, your story and we WILL read it and see if it is a fit.
ambassador teams
In order to create the deep roots we desire with our regional approach, each region is supported
by a team of ambassadors. From all walks of life, this team helps steer theme, content and collaborations for each issue. In addition, our ambassadors tell their stories too on our national blog.
events
Our goal is to connect, create community, and collaborate in an industry thats foundation is
passionate and pure. With quarterly events at the regional level, we additionally will be offering
ticketed regional events with one national event in production for late 2016.

Yoga + Life Magazines is a new platform in the LOHAS marketplace, a market segment focused
on health and fitness, wellness, the environment, personal development, sustainable lifestyle,
social justice, philanthropy, arts, culture and all that accompanies such choices. Through events,
publications, and websites with similar media outlets we are able to share this regional voice on a
greater scale than exists today.

back, creating sustainable programs, offering scholarships, etc. Tell your company’s story via a
paid advertorial to appear across all our regions. This is a powerful and effective branding tool to
the emotions of our compassionate readers.
Online Ads
We have merged our regional websites into a national website with regional contributors. You now
have the opportunity to place banner ads across all regions with a national online ad. Metrics are
provided quarterly.

Each of our regions print bi-annual high quality, sustainable magazines (we plant trees) distributing free at like-minded business, partners and events. In addition, we also offer paid door-to-door
subscriptions. We print 10K-15K per issue. Also, each of our unique magazines is also available
in a digital interactive ONLINE issue with direct ad links to your business, increasing the unique
readership to over 100K per region annually.
Advertorials
Advertorial content is “paid article” content printed in the magazine as an article. A new and fresh
way to tell your story and get the word out about your service and/or product. Full page minimum
requirement for all advertorials.
Online
Y+L recently launched its new national website with regional contributors from each of our
markets and beyond. Place a banner ad in your region about your upcoming training or event.
Quarterly metrics will be provided on click-thru-rates and campaign effectiveness.

For 2016 YLM has partnered with BODHI TREE YOGA RESORT in support of the ESPERANZA
PROJECT in Nosara, Costa Rica. We will be putting our media efforts into helping this community which has been greatly influenced by the yoga community’s tourism over the past decade
to build a new school for the locals who live there. Their school was devastated over 9 years
ago in an earthquake.
