how small engines work. Bring
your lawn mower engine (4 or 7

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR GPS
Do you need some hands-on and
out-in-the-field experience with your
GPS? Get out and learn to make
routes and way points. Learn the
basics of how the GPS system
works and dispel a few myths. You
will enter and use wayy points,, routes
and tracks. Learn about map grids
and how to relate them to your GPS
receiver. At the final session you
will use your GPS receivers to find a
cache of items. Not suitable for your
car GPS.

There is nothing worse than getting
a few kilometers from home, having
your bike breakdown, and not
knowing what to do. Discussion
will focus on basic maintenance and
care of your bike, how to fix a flat
tire, how to fix a broken chain, and
how to adjust brake and gear cables
so that you can have many carefree
hours of cycling. If you wish, you
may bring your bike to practice on.

SUMMER TUTORIAL CLASSES
Grades 1-2, Grades 3-5, Grades 6-9
Summer review and improvement classes are offered to assist students who
experience difficulty with language arts or math during the regular school year.
The summer tutorial program is offered to improve the student’s basic skills. It
is not a repeat of the regular school curriculum and therefore may not be used
for advancement to the next grade level.
In order to provide an opportunity for individual assistance, enrollment is
limited. At the end of the session a report outlining the student’s progress will
be sent home.
