What’s your favourite nail look
right now? What’s the trend this
winter?
I am all about the whole Kardashian/
Jenner coffin shape nails at the
moment - kind of fitting given
Kylie was the cover girl of the last
Remix! The shape is long and instead
of being almond it’s slimmer and
squared off at the tip. It’s also known
as a ballerina slipper nail. The shape
has been around for the longest time
but has recently had a revamp with all
the hottest celebs sporting the look.
Not so long ago I made the move
from my usual almond shape and I’m
totally obsessed!
Do you have any nail secrets
when it comes to your own look?
When I do my own nails I tend to
stick with my favourite colours black,
white and gold, which work with
everything. When I go out I love to
work with chromes and sometimes
glitter. Glitter will always be a winner
in my books! My biggest secret or
‘tip’ would be using a good nail oil.
My favourite nail oil would be Dadi
oil by Famous Names. It’s organic, it
contains 21 essential oils and allows
the nails to stay hydrated, whilst
also protecting against dry, splitting,
peeling nails.
What are your favourite nail
products at the moment?
In our salon we tend to mainly work
with gel polish. Artistic Colour Gloss
is our main brand and we love it.
When it comes to traditional nail
polish, we stock two brands, which
I consider to be the best of the best.
The first is the line of FABY products,
which are cruelty-free, come in over
200 colours and feature the perfect
balance of rich pigments and speedy
drying. Then the second brand of nail
polish is Colour Club, which was the
first line of polishes made exclusively
for professional salons back in 1979.
They have some of the best neon
polishes I’ve ever seen.
