NEWS FROM THE CHAMBER
Founded by the late Guy Whitworth who was in the business for
over 50 years, Whitworth’s is now owned by his wife Evelyn and
son Steve. They carry on the business the way Guy started it.
They believe in the “Golden Rule” of business; treat your customers as you would want to be treated. Beyond that , they try to
please their customers in ways the customer doesn't expect.
We chose Whitworth’s Gift Chest Jewelers for the Business Spotlight not only because of the caring way that they run their business, but for their constant support and care for the Poplar Bluff
Community. You will find the Whitworth family volunteering at numerous events, participating in many charitable activities and always giving back to the community through sponsorships and
donating their time.

The Boys & Girls Club of Poplar Bluff is excited to announce that Mike
Matheny, Manager of the St. Louis Cardinals will be the guest speaker at
this year’s Steak & Burger Dinner event. Please mark your calendars for
Thursday, December 12, 2013. The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the
Black River Coliseum in Poplar Bluff.
Dinner tickets are $75 each. Tickets can be purchased online

River Coliseum, Poplar Bluff Chamber or Boys and Girls Club of
