Loads of Fun at the New Wee Bairns Tent
At this year’s Games, look for the new area just for kids aged 4 to
12 with lots of fun things to do while learning about our Scottish
heritage. The Wee Bairns Tent can be found southeast of the
Metcalfe Centre and will be open Friday from 1-4pm and Saturday
from 10-12 and 1-4. Parental supervision is required.
Things to do include:
• Scottish puppets and music
• Amazing show with live falcons
• Petting zoo
• Storytellers
• Learn Scottish dances or play the fiddle and pipes
• Photo Op with Nessie the dragon
Other events for young people at the Games include the
Junior Heavyweight events on Saturday where participants
compete in the mini-caber toss, the hammer and the sheaf.
Track and Field events take place on Saturday also.

National Capital Region’s favourite musicians.
