he hutches are made of fibre-glass reinforced
polyester; this material is very sturdy and tough.
The hutches are manufactured in a mould and do
not have any grooves or gaps.
• U
rban calf hutches do have a special coating. The
smooth surfaces of the hutches, which can be
cleaned easily, are dirt-repellent; they do not have
a contact surface for germs or bacteria.
• T
he material utilised and the white colour make
the hutches UV-resistant and unsusceptible to
cold and heat.
• T
he white opaque surface also reflects the sunrays, making the hutch cool and pleasant inside
even when the temperatures outside are high.
• The pens with their doors and the self-locking feed
fences for the large capacity hutches are very stable.

The Urban calf shelter, which is characterized by its stable construction, can be used in an extremely flexible
manner. The shelter is suitable for one large capacity
Urban calf hutch which can host up to 5 calves. It also
works well with up to four Urban calf hutches for one
single calf. Due to its stable construction, there are no
braces or fences that hinder the farmer while entering
the shelter. The Urban calf shelter is equipped with two
large pneumatic-tyred wheels (diameter: 39 cm / 1.3 ft).
These wheels make transportation of the shelter very
easy and enable relocation of the calf shelter prior to
mucking out the hutches. The two square front columns can be adjusted in height, so that the shelter has
a firm stand even on uneven terrain.
