I am a fashion designer based between London and
Prague - where I graduated from Fashion and Footwear
Design Studio at AAAD in 2015. I moved in London in
2014, where I’ve started internship in Thomas Tait studio
and continued interning and working as creative pattern
maker, designer assistant and studio manager for Steven
Tai studio. I have presented my fashion collections in
Prague Design Weeks, while my latest SS16 collection
“The Cut outs” was presented in Mercedes Benz
Prague Fashion Week and London Design FestivalDesignerblock. I have participated on exhibitons
in Prague. My works were several times selected in
university exhibitions in New York and Milan.
I apply fashion and textile design beyond the making
of clothing, I draw ideas from art to performance,
architecture to humanities. My conception of fashion
design oscillate between design and art - from individual
garments to collections; from an object to an art project;
from materiality, palette, form, to their correlations with
current affairs.

The Cut Outs
“The Cut outs” collection works
with ways of using informative
and relative functional decoration, drawing inspiration from
uniforms, its badges, ranks and
honours. All of these are considered elements of decoration
- signs which visually and semantically shift the constant
similarity of uniforms. The
overall concept is closely linked
with the basic principles of how
we perceive and interpret uniform clothing on various levels.
Integration of decorations into
garments has become
the primary goal of this collection. Decoration - signs have
been used in situations where
they reflect aesthetic and functional meaning and where they
structurally develop a dialogue
that oscillates between having
practical function yet being
“only” a designer’s invention.

Showroom
- exibition
This joint project by David
Krnanský and Monika Krobová
works with the tension
between individual expression
and mechanical reproduction.
Alongside the body and its
representation, scale and multiplicity, one of the exhibition’s
themes is the very principle
of the production of forms in
which we can sense the latent
presence of the human figure.
The concept for this joint installation is based on a radical reduction of the means of
expression, aiming at a basic
scheme – a mesh, a surface,
a wrapper and the space in between, which is steeped in emotions and vague ideas.
The resulting constellation revises the fundamental distinction between fine and applied
art, and supports a certain parallel between designers and fine
artists’ thinking and working
processes.

Interface
The most important element
is meeting and connection.
I focused on special combinations and unexpected views
which I have met on my journey
through Armenia. Many of divergent factors in fashion, architecture, tradition and poeple
habbits showed in interesting
contexts. Most of elements are
put together randomly without
any aesthetic impacts. These
collages have been created by
honest attitude to solve specfic
problem. I found key to made
this collection by fascination of
easy and spontaneous way that
lead to resolution.

Spring collection 2013
Collection was inspired by panaromatic pictures and photos
made by Aaron Rose. Graphic
pictures are balanced in nunce
of one colour. By feeling the
structure and outline of scenery I reflected its mood into
collection - playing with transparent fabric that lowered saturaton of pure coloured fabrics.
Footwear design for this collection is made by Eliška Kuchotová.

Apron
The Apron collection was mostly influenced by my relationship
to folk clothing and traditional czech costume. I focused
on specific garmen type, that
is integral part of every costume - apron. Apron has been
one of the most fundamental
parts of work wear and carnival folk costume as well. I carry
the morphology over into the
cut and work especially with
the principle of the apron as
a universal garment that grows
together with the figure. It is
a dialogue between contemporary classic materials with
new textures and materials that
refer to the original identity of
the first fabrics ever.

The Sweaters
I have approached into knitting
in a way that is not usually seen.
Products balance on the edge
of consideration - garment or
object of art. The sweaters are
not knitted following some flat
pattern - sweaters are intuitively
and sculpturaly builded during
the actual process of creation.
Because the element rules of
knitting I created the volumes,
which themselves lead to the
final form of the garment. One
of the most important part of
this work is technology and
mainly the material. The yarns
have been done by handspun
technique.

The Rhythm
Rhythm is a harmony. Rhythm
is a perception of periodicity. Rhythm is a live regularity. Rhythm is about return to
something similar. Rhythm is
about differences and definitions. Rhythm is an awareness
of countable and non-countable. Rhythm is about numbers.

2*
1*
The collection consists garments that are based on repetition in the mutual dependency.
I work with the archetype of
tunic skirt and trousers which
are stated in its most reduced
form. The searching of patterns, rules of rhythm, their
development and subsequent
reduction is reflected in the
clothing by the transformation
of the silhouette and the proportion of human figure. The
similarity and contrast, as well
as important elements of the
rhythm, affecting various ways
of processing. Combination
of materials and composition,
vertical and horizontal lines are
systematically intagrate in minimalistic collection.
2012/ graduate Bachelor collection, AAAD
1* The greatest inspiration for this project was minimalistic music of composer Steve Reich
2* The rhythm of his composition “Clapping music”
Simply for Simple
This minimalistic women collection “Simply for Simple”
was designed for the studio
collaboartion with Simple Concept Store in Prague. The idea
of collection is based on the
elemntary plays with graphic
shapes, space and surface.
Collection is about syntax of
principles of visual transformation that happens through the
combination of various forms
of individual garments. Combinations of garments are becoming in outfits and create new
graphic pictures and silhouette
which can easily build whole
collection.

Simply Object
The fashion collection “Simply
for Simple” was created on the
basis of a play on graphic art,
space and surface. The utmost
reduction of the possible methods of combining individual
components of the collection
led me to the create a wooden
object. Rechengable board of
object demonstrate the principle of a visual transformation
that goesthrough fashion collection.
