TOURING ALL OVER FRANCE
From November 2011
Between reality and fiction, SOY DE CUBA is the true story
of Rembert Egues, legend of Cuban music and his encounter
with the star of the show, Jenny Sotolongo. Noticed at a
young age, she become the protected Fidel Castro and the
idol of all people.
As a counterpoint, we discover Rembert Egues Ayala's story,
a young country girl who will discovered in the capital of
dance and the love of his life, Mario, a choreographer bad
boy.
SOY DE CUBA skillfully interweaves the contradictions
apparent Cuba: melancholy and joy of living, suffering and
optimism, submission and rebellion ...
Much more than a musical drunk, between cigars, rum
and salsa, the clichés associated with euphoric Cuba,
SOY DE CUBA is a modern spectacle, sensual and meaningful, an explosive cocktail of emotions intense that dazzles
the eye and fire the heart.

What is now called salsa is a broad term as jazz or rock.
Diffi cult to defi ne and subject to controversy, this complex is more than a musical genre, a merger or a musical
style. He comes from many rhythms such as sound, and
mambo guaracha Cuba, the plena and Puerto Rican
bomba, and styles such as charanga, the coniuto, the
sextet and others. But it is mainly based on a fusion of son
montuno and mambo.
The Mambo originated in Cuba. Next of kin Danzon is itself
derived from the Charanga or Tumba Francesa which was
introduced to Cuba by Haitian fleeing the revolution (we
agree that such Danzon became musical in the 20s).
Mambo then referred to the section quickly placed in the
fin piece, while Danzon referred to the two sections traditional music of the same name. The Mambo was to be
born as a genre in itself, pieces were recorded when
playing only the final section.
The cha-cha-cha invented in 1954 by violinist Cuban
Enrique Jorrin in the first part of the song Engañadora (the
other part is a rythmede mambo). The word "cha-chacha," which also means a dance, only appears in the song
Silver Star, and comes the sound produced by rubbing the
feet of the dancers on the ground. Enrique Jorrín, noting
the diffi culties of Dancers with the model of danzónmambo (not only the are not marked on time, but
syncope) decided to compose melodies less syncopated.
The arrangements of the orchestra, in turn, use Always
syncope. This mixture - the melody on the time, and
support the setback - is a feature of this new genre, the
cha-cha-cha.
The rumba was born in the patios of Solaris and the docks
port in Havana (yambú and guaguanco) and Matanzas
(Siguirya and Columbia) during the 1800s in Afro-Cuban
circles. The word (perhaps derived from Spanish rumbo
en route ...) means the night parties where people gather
(often in the courtyards, the "Solar") to sing and dance.
This is music Singing and percussion. At first, we used
cabinet drawers (cajónes), crates of cod, the coffers of the
sails of ships, cigar boxes beaten with bare hands or using
spoons Wood (Cucharas), but also the congas.
Access to new music software
or always creating rhythms
more sophisticated (samplers
and sequencers) offers technical improvements to producers
and DJs reggaetón, even more
for rap and hip hop. These last
in profi tent to distill new sounds
and rhythms, more frenzied as
each others, the tempos of
different musical riches of Latin
America. Another characteristic
of reggaetón are the shrill
voices and sometimes distorted,
which add an echo slender and
soft, reinforcing the effect
power of words. The reggaetón
is recognizable by its rhythm
typical "out of season".
