headquarters highlight how a comprehen-

the Federal and State Department of Labor.
And in 2011, the CET program was awarded
accreditation by both ANSI and ISO for meeting its standards for certification programs.

approximately $40 million for infrastructure
improvements and his ultimate financial investment may top $1.2 billion.
Fully built out, the multiphase develop-
ment would include 2,252,600 square feet
of biotech/research space; 400,000 square
feet of medical offices; a 100,000-squarefoot hotel with 100 rooms; 114,000 square
feet of ground-level retail space and a
34,000-square-foot Children’s Living Science Center.
The Westchester BioScience & Technology Center will be designed to create a strong
sense of place with a pedestrian-friendly
Main Street lined with shops and restaurants
with outdoor dining and landscaped plazas
as gathering places for those who work at the
center as well as the general public. The plan
will incorporate many sustainable features,
such as green roofs, demonstration gardens
and preservation and improvement of onsite wetlands. Approximately 54 percent of
the property — or 43.6 acres — will be preserved as open green space.

Fareri, who has more than 40 years of
development experience in Westchester and
Fairfield counties, has proposed a unique
partnership with the county of Westchester
whereby a vacant 60-acre parcel (known as
the North 60) that is owned by the county
next to the Westchester Medical Center
and New York Medical College would be
combined with an adjacent 20-acre parcel,
owned by Fareri, to create the Westchester
BioScience & Technology Center. The 60acre site would be leased to Fareri under a
long-term agreement to be approved by the
County Board of Legislators.

and exciting BioScience & Technology Center
that will create thousands of new construction and permanent jobs, while positioning
