and a celebration video highlighting Day Nursery’s history and children. Four-year
olds defined their heroes and
challenged the crowd to “be
a hero” for Day Nursery.
Well known, keynote speak-
tion to his incredible athletic
career as the league’s only
four-time MVP and a 12time Pro Bowl selection, he
has earned his place among
the NFL’s greatest quarterbacks (currently for the Denver Broncos) and stands
alone as the active leader in
nearly every statistical passing category. Manning’s

hospitality and values. He
referred to Peyton as someone who “walks the talk and
holds those accountable” as
he leads by example.
Peyton Manning’s heartfelt
comments focused on defining moments of decisionmaking which he applies to
his own life. He shared that
adversity draws out talents
which are otherwise untapped demonstrating that
“we all have a spirit of adaptability in our DNA”. He
urged the audience to make a
commitment to quality to
focus and practice the skills
needed when the heat is off
to achieve the goal and make
decisions without vacillating,
to believe in the decision
without stuttering and to not
be afraid to take necessary
risks.

Day Nursery Staff recognized by the Mayor on Provider
Appreciation Day.
Day Nursery of Abilene helped promote GenTX Day by
wearing our favorite college t-shirts in effort to support the
belief of achieving a higher education.
Employees were recognized for their hard work and dedication on National Provider Appreciation Day.

Day Nursery celebrated children during
national "Week of the Young Child" with
various fun-filled activities. Children from
DNA served milk and cookies to the Mayor
and the City Council members during the
“Week of the Young Child” proclamation.
After a successful 40th anniversary celebration, Day Nursery's President/CEO Cynthia
Pearson unwinds with a little down time on
the playground at the Vine Street Center.
I wish I had words to express my gratitude to you and your staff for the level
of care you give my son. Unfortunately
all the words I can muster seem inadequate at best. Your care and devotion
to what you do changes people’s lives
and your passion for children builds the
future for all of us.
Thank you for all you do! Michelle
In his final comments, Peyton
Manning challenged the audience
of nearly 1100 attendees to
“participate in something larger
than ourselves and to compete
for our own version of the
“superbowl” and to develop an
arsenal of decision making skills
while embracing resilience”. He
reminded the audience that the
community needs the services of
the Day Nursery of Abilene and
the financial support of everyone
present to continue its mission.
and sponsor a child at the Day
Nursery of Abilene. Their future
depends on you!

Peyton Manning, be a hero today
