HONEYMOON #29: VICTORIA FALLS
WHERE VICTORIAN ROMANCE MEETS SAFARI ADVENTURE
We would say no to compromise. Suppose you want a romantic
honeymoon with a luxury suite, fine dining + gorgeous view while your
fiancée wants an adventure with water sports + bungee jumping. Why
not have it all? We have put together a 8 day / 7 night honeymoon
that is a perfect blend of safari adventure, Victorian romance + modern
comfort.
Situated on a 6,000 acre private reserve by the Zambezi National Park
and Victoria Falls, the five-star, all-suite resort is a quiet sanctuary where
you can have fine dining while the elephants, kudu + waterbuck gather
at a waterhole in view. For accommodations, the resort combines the
romance of Victorian style bathroom with the comfort of modern power
shower. As for fun + games, you can tour the Victoria Falls + swim in its
naturally formed swimming pool, go on a lion walk safari, then return to
the resort to lounge by the pool, surf the internet or watch a DVD in the
comfort of your suite.
Priced at $5,000 USD, we have included five activities (safari, white water
rafting + etc), full board (breakfast, lunch + dinner) plus one romantic
dinner, just to name a few.
For a complete list of goodies we have included, please check our website
or call us when you are ready for a little fun, love + pampering.

GIVING AWAY STUFF WE LOVE
It’s been a delight to find stuff we love each month, but
this month, we decided that we love them so much
we’re going to share them with you. Starting July, every
couple that books a honeymoon, babymoon, Destination
Wedding To Go™, or a trip for two, gets the “stuff we love
this month.” So check back each month in the “LoveGift
of the Month” column to see what we’re giving away.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
WHAT IT DOES
Leaving your wallet at a Starbucks two blocks away from
home (+ not have it returned) is irritating but manageable.
Leaving your wallet in a Starbucks in Tokyo where you do
not speak the language is a completely different story.
Though the idea is displeasing, unexpected things do happen
during travels, whether it is something as small as missing
a flight connection or as major as having a heart attack on
a cruise. One way to protect yourself is purchasing travel
insurance. Different policies cover a slew of things, from
trip cancellation due to job loss; trip delay; trip interruption
due to medical emergencies; identity theft; + even 24-hour
emergency assistance.
WHY PURCHASE A POLICY
According to the US Travel Insurance Association (USTIA),
more than 30% of leisure travelers buy travel insurance
+ 17% (or one out of every six) insured travelers make
a claim. USTIA states that the top three reason travelers
give for purchasing a policy are “peace of mind, protection
against the unexpected + concern over losing the financial
investment in a trip.”
However, USTIA also suggests that travelers ask a few
questions before determining whether travel insurance is
truly necessary.
• Can I afford the financial risk of losing my vacation
investment if something goes wrong due to illness,
weather, or other unforeseen circumstances?
• If I have to cut my trip short because of an emergency
can I afford the cost of a return airline trip home?
• Does my health insurance cover me away from home
+ in foreign countries if I become ill or am injured while
traveling?
• If my bags are lost or I have to spend an extra night
because of weather-related problems, can I afford to buy
replacement necessities + pay for extra lodging?
If the answer to any of the above questions is “No”, then a
travel insurance policy may be a good idea.

LOVEGIFT OF THE MONTH
*
One of our staff recounted the months before her
wedding: “As soon as I picked out my dress, my
mother-in-law took me to her jeweler + picked out
my wedding day accessories. Then my mother called +
offered to FedEx all the jewelries from her wedding all
the way from Asia.”
Obviously, wedding day jewelry is important, yet due
to its size, the risk of its getting lost in transport is high.
Luckily, Tiffany & Co. created the cutest travel jewelry
case.
Made of leather + measuring only 3” in diameter,
the round jewelry case is divided into two sections:
one for rings + the other for loose items. Since we
love it so much, we’ll be tossing in this jewelry case
for all honeymoons, Destination Weddings To Go™,
babymoons + trips for two. According to your
preference (+ based on availability), we’ll include it
in the color of your choice: pink, white, brown + of
course, Tiffany Blue®.
HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT POLICY
So, say you’ve decided to purchase travel insurance. Just like
auto insurance, life insurance, home insurance, + medical
insurance, the variety + complexity of policies out there can
be confusing. Should you buy the trip cancellation insurance,
flight insurance, baggage insurance, or a combination of the
above listed?
Just as you would consult an insurance agent to scope
out the best possible policy, we would also recommend
consulting a travel professional who can research a reliable
+ reputable insurance company to tailor your policy. Many
companies offer different coverage for different types of
trips. Working with a travel professional who understands
your needs can eliminate much confusion.
This way, if no one finds your wallet in the Starbucks in
Tokyo, you’ll know there’s help on the way.
