Can you see the heart of God being connected to all the world? Every
nation? Every person? Those in prison, murderers, drug addicts, prostitutes, even those who would prey on the weak and the innocent, even our
enemies? The Word states that “For God so loved the world ….”
Can you see us, the people of God, made in the image of God, loving all
the world? Every nation? Every people? Can we love those who do things
we despise and frown upon? We learn what love is in 1 Corinthians 13 –
kindness, patience, unselfishness, not prideful, not boastful, always trusts,
believes all things, is not easily angered, keeps no record of wrongs, does
not rejoice in evil, but rejoices with the truth, always protects, always
hopes, always preserves and never fails. It goes on to say that we can do
all kinds of good deeds, but if we have not love, it profits us nothing.
Can you see why the greatest commandment in the world is to love God,
and the second is to love our neighbor as ourselves? Without love, we
are not properly connected, things are out of order, there is discord, we
lack peace, our hope is disrupted, etc. But when we are connected, we
are fulfilled. We are not fearful, not fretful, we are unified, caring, giving,
kind, forgiving, compassionate, etc. We are connected to all that God is;
and we are in Him.
Jesus Christ gave His life for us. He didn’t just die for us, but He denied Himself the pleasures of
life, peace, comfort, etc. He was beaten and He sacrificed. We know it, but can we endure some
discomfort, some displeasure, some of our valuable time or treasures to see others blessed? To
love God is to obey Him; and with obedience comes blessings, with disobedience comes
curses. Most of us know these things, but the challenge is in striving to apply them in our everyday
lives.
We must pray that God’s heart be connected more and more through us and for us, “By this will
men know that we are His disciples, by the love we show” (John 13:35). Let us ask God to remind us
to yield in love, and to endure in love with the intention of sharing the loving mercy, grace and
kindness God has shown to us.

ONE GOD, ONE MEDIATOR, ONE BRIDGE
ecently, I told my daughter that
someday I would like us to travel
to my homeland. We will walk the
streets of Montego Bay, Jamaica and
chart the community where I grew up.
Through my eyes they will witness the
elements -culture, stories, schools and
churches - that shaped my spirit.
Through my experiences they may
come to understand the part of me that
is undeniable and enduring. My prayer
is that they will be able to connect the
R
chapters of my life to the Mediator who
is always working in my favor. Scripture
tells us, "For there is only one God and
one Mediator who can reconcile God
and humanity-the man Christ Jesus" (1
Timothy 2:5 NLT). For though we may
have traveled far and wide to get to
where we are, there is only one connection to the heart of God, and He is
Jesus! And through Him we are all connected as heirs having given the same
inheritance.
SPIRITUAL THIRST: Regardless of our
status, religious beliefs, or lack thereof,
there is a longing deep within our heart
to connect with someone or something
that was severed or hidden within us. It
may be the Creator, or someone who
symbolizes love. Or for those who do
not believe in God, it may be something larger than themselves and beyond comparison. The questions may
be, is there a bridge, and if there is, is it
safe, eternal, pleasing or satisfying?
How do we cross that perhaps troublesome bridge to reconnect with that
source our soul longs for? When we
walk away from God, there is an insistent pull to reconnect with Him, and
the things and people that helped
shaped who we were. And though
shame may keep us from crossing the
only bridge that can get us to that
thirst-quenching well, we will always be
thirsting without knowing for what.
The woman at the well (John 4) is a
perfect example to use as outreach to
those who may not only be thirsty for
the truth of who Christ is, but desperate to know Him and drink of His grace.
The story teaches that Jesus crossed all
racial, religious and cultural bridges to
share and connect with others. And
instead of rebuking or ostracizing the
Samaritan woman because of her
mixed race or reputation, Jesus saw her
value and reached out to her through
love. For though Adam destroyed our
connection with God, the man Christ
Jesus restored it through His death and
resurrection. In other words, Christ became the bridge by which we can now
freely go to God.
connect with God, the issue is not
Christ, but the accountability of commitment to one bridge. It is not a
stretch to say America, and other nations around the world are becoming
more and more anti-Christian, and
growing in numbers and power. This
shift can mean followers of Christ will
find themselves in perilous situations
as they continue to face spiritual struggles and persecutions. But those who
have found, crossed and committed to
the bridge, which is Christ, will be confident and fortified against coming attacks.

CONNECTING WITH THE CHURCH: There was a time
when I prayed and struggled with the decision to find a
new place of worship. I was always aware of the fact that
there was never, in the history of man, a "perfect" church.
I was concerned that people would could consider me
disloyal, and I worried about leaving my comfort zone, but
I wanted to do the right thing for my spiritual growth and
maintenance. After reading the foreword written by Kathleen Norris in C.S. Lewis' Mere Christianity, it gave me
peace. Norris states,
“…The question should never be: ‘Do I like that kind of
service?’ but ‘Are these doctrines true: Is holiness here?
Does my conscience move me towards this? Is my
reluctance to knock at this door due to pride, my mere
taste or my personal dislike of this particular doorkeeper?”
In essence, I was not seeking a perfect place where I would
feel comfortable, or a minister or messages to make me
feel good. What I sought was truth, even if it hurts. I
needed an environment that encourages divine connection
and fruit bearing. I wanted to be a contributor by
employing the spiritual gifts God has blessed me with.
COMMITMENT OR SEPARATION: As we go about our lives
we might come across those who say they don't need to
go to church to believe in, or love God because there are
many ways to love Him. That may be true, but even Jesus
went to church! Luke 4:16 tells us that "When He came to
the village of Nazareth, his boyhood home, he went as usual
to the synagogue on the Sabbath and stood to read the
Scriptures." As usual means it was His custom to do so, and
frequently. It was not simply a holiday tradition. It was not
something He did when times were bad or He was sick. He
went as usual. Although Jesus was perfect, and the
members of the synagogue were as imperfect, flawed, and
damaged as we are today -He went to worship His Perfect
Father. Jesus established a pattern, or standard for all
believers to follow in order to fully devote themselves to
worship, study the Word, and fellowship. And in so doing,
be encouraged, strengthened and prepared to bring others
to know the joy that is gained from trusting, serving, and
going the distance. Staying connected is a command for
believers, and it is fundamental for followers of Christ in
today's hostile and divisive climate. So while it may be
true we do not need a structure to connect with God,
believers need the encouragement, support and strength
of one another to remain plugged in and connected to
God's heart, and to fulfill the mandate to save souls and
strengthen communities.
CONNECTED HEARTS ARE COMMITTED & LOYAL:
The well-known story of Ruth and Naomi is the
embodiment of connected hearts that demonstrated not
only friendship, but loyalty and commitment to God and
each other."Don't ask me to leave you and turn back.
Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live.
Your people will be my people, and your God will be my
God. Wherever you die, I will die, and there I will be buried.
May the Lord punish me severely if I allow anything but
death to separate us" (Ruth 1:16-17 NLT). Ruth was blessed
because of her commitment and faithfulness. Connected
hearts also understand that staying committed takes
work. When the going gets tough, the connection, though
stretched, will not break. God gives us examples of
answers for situations and questions we may encounter.
And there is no bondage in our commitment to Him,
because He gives freely.

Unity comes when we are all committed to a common
cause. That’s true in the world as well as in the church. The

In the church this is no different. We are gathered together for a common cause - God’s Glory.

The physical heart within our chest cavity is controlled by an integrated and intrinsic arrangement of electrical,
physiological, chemical and mechanical systems of operation. It is supported by a network of vessels that
transport, nourish and maintain a delicate balance toward homeostasis within our bodies. This steady state is
essential to our survival on planet earth. The heart is the command center of life, and when it ceases to function,
death is the predictable and final outcome of our physical existence.
The mystical heart of man is invisible, yet detectable, because it has a voice and it speaks. The heart is very
perceptive and is able to discern through instinct, intuition, insight, and also by the Word of God. The heart is
the most authentic, genuine and truthful reflection of whom we are, what we believe, who we will become, and
where our eternal dwelling will be. The condition of our lives is determined by the One who sits on the throne
of the heart. God has legitimate rights and authority to direct, guide and control the totality of our lives. This
includes our vision, decisions, thoughts, desires, beliefs, choices and ultimately our eternal destinies.
We choose God as our ruler by accepting the supernatural deposits of His nature to be expressed, revealed,
and reflected in and through our hearts. The innate but ungodly heart is connected to Satan until salvation is
obtained through Jesus Christ. Salvation initiates the Lordship of Jesus Christ, along with the creation of a new,
regenerative and fertile heart. God's spiritual DNA flows through our heart and allows us to reflect His spirit,
image and character. Our heart is now in network partnership with God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and
the Holy Spirit - the power source and His creation. This change opens the door for full access to God for
downloading wisdom, knowledge, insight, understanding, passion, gifts, creativity, power and His will within us.
He now writes His Words on the tablets of our hearts, allowing us to meditate on them, thus making our ways
successful.
As we hide the Word of God in our hearts, we can use it in every situation, even to avoid sinning against Him.
Because we are His, we are sealed by the Holy Spirit, hence designating full ownership of our hearts. Since He
manages our hearts He also controls our lives. The Holy Spirit guides, directs, corrects, teaches and exposes the
intentions, thoughts and actions of our hearts in accordance to God's will. The fertile soil from God's heart
allows us to sow, reap and distribute seeds of hope, life, love, encouragement, kindness, gratitude, hospitality,
care and respect in the lives of each others. Exposing our hearts will reveal the content, substance, temperament, character and the connection to the glory of Christ within.

“Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy
came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the
servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has
done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot
the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and

ne of the greatest affronts to the Kingdom of God
is that which the world is calling marriage. Whether called a marriage or a civil union, if it is not
between a natural born man and a natural born woman, by
God’s standard, it is not a marriage. Point blank. Period.
(Genesis 2:24) Yet life as we know it is changing, and we as
Kingdom citizens are stuck in the middle. That which the
world broadcasts is not of God; but it is happening. Why?
Matthew 13:25-26 explains: “but while men slept, his enemy
came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.
But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then
the tares also appeared.” The enemy has sown a seed among
us and it is producing something that calls itself marriage,
imitating what God has called holy, but it is not!
The scripture declares that the unholy thing is growing in the
same place as God’s holy covenant. How could God allow
this? Verses 27-30 provides us with greater insight: “The
Master said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants
said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’
But the Master said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares
you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together
until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the
reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in
bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”
God has allowed His covenant marriages to exist around
these “tare marriages” because we are needed in this place!
What!!!! Read on...
Growing in the same field allows God’s covenant marriages
to live righteously in the presence of the tare marriage. God’s
couples can be examples of TRUTH and show the tare the
more excellent way. Kingdom marriages will have opportunities to share God’s Word which can transform the tare by the
renewal of their minds and hearts as they come to understand
God’s will for their lives. Influence will abound as Christian
couples obey God and stay committed to the sanctity and
fidelity of marriage.
Verse 30 concludes with a promise: even though we grow in
the same place, God is able to tell His marriages from those
tare marriages. The tares marriages will be thrown into the
fire but He will gather His covenant marriages unto Himself.
The enemy’s seed may have been sown in the midst of Kingdom marriages but God knows and protects His own. Last
day living will spawn many things that will challenge us, but
when we stand strong in the profession of our faith, speak
truth and proclaim God’s promises, we will

Connecting Hearts
Is there anyone in your life who needs kindness, patience or forgiveness
Anyone who you can connect God's heart to by simply just being unselfish
Is your heart filled with compassion for those who are hurting or going through
And do you even care to reach out to those with nasty attitudes
Is your heart concerned for others or are you continually thinking of self
Are your prayers all about you or are you praying for someone else
As we sow, so shall we reap
If love we give, love we receive
Love is a gift worth the giving, though it costs, it's worth the price
Love is a gift that will keep on giving, it will flow from life to life
If you're feeling empty or feeling a void
If there's lack in your life and you feel you need more
Check your giving or what consumes you
Check your heart and look for the truth
Then ask God to show you what you can do
To help, to encourage, to serve, and who
Let go of the wrongs and those hurts of the past
Forgive and then don't dare look back
Reach for God, from the depths of your soul
Let Him have complete control
Let Him fill your heart then move
From heart to heart with the love He gives you
The goal is to reach the hurting and the lost
Tell them of Jesus, that He paid the cost
Give them the hope that we received
Tell them of when you first believed
Let God use you to comfort and bless
Share the light of God's love through the darkness
The void you fill you'll see is yours
Those empty feelings will be restored
The lack that you felt you'll see is gone
Your needs will be met and it won't take long

must we do?
to heaven because he is rich in mercy.
God had so much mercy on us He
sent His Son Jesus to suffer and die
on the cross to take the punishment
for our sins. God's wrath came down
upon Jesus, instead of upon us. Jesus
paid for our faults with His very life on
the cross which shows us God is willing to excuse our death sentence. He
can allow us to live because of what
Jesus did on the cross. Through Jesus'
death, burial, and his resurrection,
God dismissed our case and we

We must repent - turn from sin and
confess Jesus Christ as our Lord and
savior. Not only must we confess our
sins to God, we must forsake them as
well. We cannot just believe in Jesus,
we must trust in Him and obey His
Word. You must put your belief, your
trust, your faith and all your strength
in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of
your sins and trust Him for your eternal connection. " … God has given

alvation is a gift that is made available to those who repent., believe and
confess Jesus is Lord and that He died and rose from the dead to save
mankind. (Acts 16:31, Romans 10:9-10). This gift cannot be earned
though good deeds or by simply being “a good person” (Ephesians 2:8, 1
Timothy 1:9). It is a matter of faith (acting out on what you believe according to
God's Word concerning salvation).
Five Steps to Complete Salvation:
The following steps will help you obtain and maintain the salvation experience.
It involves a process that will not only guarantee you entrance into heaven, but
also position you to experience the benefits of heaven on earth.
1. Recognize/Admit That You Are a Sinner,
2. Repent of Your Sins,
3. Confess Jesus as Lord and Savior,
4. Be Baptized in Water,
5. Obey the Word of God.
If you don’t know Jesus as your Personal Lord and Savior, I would like to take
this opportunity to introduce you to the Greatest Friend you’ll ever have. As
you say these words, if you believe them with you heart, you will be born again.
(Romans 10:9-10)

CELEBRATING 21 YEARS
IN 1995, with prayer, preparation, counsel and by
the leading of the Holy Spirit, Merton L. Clark, his
wife Sebrena, and a small group of believers went to
the corner of US 1 and Conlan in the City of Palm Bay,
Florida. In their first open air service they prayed,
praised and worshipped God with the blowing of the
SHOFAR (rams horn). In accord with Joshua chapter 6,
they announced their arrival to the city and declared
war on the enemy of the people of God. Standing on
the Word of God they pressed on by faith; and with
unflagging zeal they gave glory to God, “knowing that
what God has promised He is able to perform.”
In 1999, Elder and I joined Truth Revealed Ministries, a mighty force in the making. God knitted our hearts
and we have been blessed to watch God’s man and woman grow and mature into the leaders we love and
support today. It was an honor to sit with the Bishop and Pastor Sebrena and discuss ministry milestones,
funny moments, how it all began, and the incredible things that the Lord has done all along the way.
1.
KNOWING WHAT YOU KNOW NOW AND HAVE EXPERIENCED OVER THE PAST 21 YEARS,
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE A YOUNG MERTON AND SEBRENA AT THE BIRTH OF TRIM?
“I would advise the young Merton and Sebrena to take a holistic approach to ministry. They
should embark upon a spiritual quest to be fully anointed, to be psychologically and mentally
sound, sufficiently and formally educated both in theology and with a possible degree in
sociology; and to pay deliberate attention to their physical temples.” Bishop added that he
would strongly caution them not to take the departures of members or acquaintances too
personally, citing that gains as well as losses accompany growth and they are a part of life’s
process.
“When God calls one to do something He will provide people as the human resources to aide
and assist you in accomplishing the task, some for an appointed time.” She added that God does
not intend for all those sent to remain with you for the duration, some will play their part and
move on. “I would tell them that they have to learn how to receive and release God’s gifts and
His people.”
20 REVEALED / APRIL 2016
2. WHEN REMEMBERING THE PAST, WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE LIKED TO DO MORE AND LESS OF?
“I would like to have spent more quality time with my husband, building and strengthening our
bond.” She added she would have spent less time addressing things in her interpersonal
relationships that never really mattered. Pastor Sebrena stated, “There is nothing like time, once
spent it is gone.” Life is too precious to waste on things that don’t build, edify, exhort or
encourage.
“I definitely agree with my wife.” He added that he would have done less personal counseling;
rather he would have spent that time building leaders and empowering groups of people and
leaders. He stated that he spent too much time building and empowering leaders and groups

relationships. While wanting to give his all, Bishop stated that he now realizes that he must
detach from the unproductive in order to be productive and attain what God has for him and the
church.
3. WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST ASSET?
“Our Marriage.” We have something special in each other. I would not say that our relationship
is perfect but I believe that he and I are perfect and made for each other. We can talk for hours
about anything. After all these years were are a good fit. People need to see something ‘real’
in the face of all the fantasy and infatuations about marriage. They say they want to be married
and have someone to sweep them off their feet, but that is a façade. Bishop and I have been
in the grind and on the front lines together. We have weathered the storms together. We have
our battles but our strength lies in the fact that we fight the battles together. AND then she
broke out in a rendition of Captain and Tennille’s ‘Love Will Keep Us Together’ ~enough said!
APRIL 2016 / REVEALED 21
“It is certainly not money or ministry, it is our marriage, which has brought us to this ministry.”
Bishop has often said that if it is ever said that his marriage failed, it would be because it
imploded and not exploded, so they work diligently to honor and respect their marriage, and
cherish their interactions and time together. He has coined the phrase, ” I know you and I still
love you!” Bishop said that his home is his place of peace, his ‘Rehoboth’ and he carefully
protects the sanctity of it. “It is where we mold and meld, it is our safe haven.”

MARRIAGE AND MINISTRY
“I would tell those starting a ministry that
both the husband and the wife must ensure harmony and protect the marriage.”
She indicated that the work of ministry
requires so much from each person such that it is
necessary to balance ministry and marriage. With
each being equally sacred and important, you cannot
sacrifice one for the other. She further stated that the
couple must stay on guard, being willing to protect
and nurture the relationship, to always seek unity;
AND to “definitely take vacations…they are necessary!”

RELATIONSHIPS AND INNER CIRCLES
“Covenant requires that you not wear
your inner circle as loose fitting clothing,
you must be close and bonded, while
being inwardly strong enough maintain
your purpose, destiny and self-worth as you connect with others. If you are not strong enough, you
will absorb things and integrate your life with people, maladies or traits that God did not intend. You
must have that delicate balance with strong covenant relationships while being fortified internally so
as not to allow a confidant to negatively influence
you. For example in a marriage, never allow anyone
to speak a word to one spouse that goes against the
union or that is distinct or excludes their spouse.
When this happens we lose focus on working together and begin to look for our own individual
destinies. We must ensure nothing separates the
union! One’s inner circle should be intertwined such
that when one elevates, the others does as well and
all support each other.”

COMMUNITY
“The church is an intricate and vital part
of the community. We have to build
alliances and partnerships within the
community in order to stay active and
relevant. Even though the church is a
spiritual institution, it is also a business and integral
part of the community. Accessing the community
allows us to influence and have an impact.” She
stated that a relevant church should provide social
services and outreach like feeding the hungry and
meeting needs of the less fortunate, as well as “ be a
voice of righteousness and a light for the loss.” She
added that we as a ministry are called to be the salt
and light of the community and that is what every
effective church should be. TRIM wants people to
know who we are, not just by name only but how we
love God’s people and glorify the Father.
21 YEARS THERE HAVE BEEN MANY
5. OVER
SUCCESSES AND DISAPPOINTMENTS.
HOW WOULD YOU ADVISE A MINISTER FACING
A MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT?
“Faith is a walk and we walk by that faith
and not by sight; bearing in mind we are
judged by our faith. I would encourage
that pastor or minister not to allow the
expectations of people to hinder their
faith and as they lead they should continue to pronounce and decree the things they feel by faith, even
if the manifestation does not come.” Bishop was
reminded of the importance of knowing the Scriptures as he cited the situation faced by Abraham,
having heard God and while knowing his circumstance, still had faith that God would give him a son.
“Walking by faith is likened to child; you walk and
while you may fall, you keep getting up.” Quoting
Romans 4:20-21 “ He staggered not at the promise of
God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving
glory to God; and being fully persuaded that, what he
had promised, he was able also to perform.” “It is a
faith walk.”
One scripture that speaks to me is Proverbs 24:10: “If you faint in the day of
adversity, your strength is small.” I believe that failure, frustrations and disappointment are a part of the landscape
and topography of life. It is during these times that
real character is built. We must learn resilience and
how to rebound after setbacks. Many people want
the glory of the reward but they don’t want to go
through the effort or the disappointments, or the
falling and getting back up. The key is to remain
faithful in the face of denial or delay. We are mere
men; we must keep pressing without unrealistic expectations. You must go as far as you can and God
is the One who must ultimately bring forth His plan
and purpose for the ministry. We have had disappointments but we realize the Truth Revealed is the
Lord’s and we will continue to decree and declare
until God allows things to happen.”
“I believe that God will reward us for our faithfulness
to Him. Just as the patriarchs of old, many died not
realizing the promise but they saw it afar off, convinced of the things God promised. They believed
and moved towards it; even though they did not
receive the promise their faith was not weak. As
ministers and pastors we must maintain pure motives. We have been sustained in ministry for 21 years
by walking in faith. Those who sow into the church
provide our sustenance and God has definitely taken
care of us.”
APRIL 2016 / REVEALED 23
6.
HAVE WE MET OUR MANDATE?
WHAT DO WE NEED TO DO MORE
OF IN THE COMING YEARS?
BISHOP: “No, there is still work to be done.” We need
to expand our fellowship, discipleship, evangelism,
leadership and ministry efforts. There is still much
work to do both locally and globally. We need a new
facility, enhanced youth and children’s programs in
addition to outreach and social services to the community.”
7.
CONNECT AND RECONNECT:
WHAT IS THE PLAN?
BISHOP: “We are legal now and have come of age, 21
years. We are legal to operate in our God given
authority both in the heavens and the natural, so we
need to connect with that new agenda. We need not
ask for permission, it is a done deal. In the earth, we
need to connect with people who understand and
flow with the purposes of God, at this level. People at
this level understand ‘plug and play’. They ‘plug’ in to
the purpose and they ‘play’ the hand dealt. There is
no need for surge protectors, just pure current. There
is no debating with the illegitimate or illegal. There is
no struggle to move with God when you are legal and
functioning in your legal authority.
8.
WHAT’S NEXT?
BISHOP: “Many years of working together to advance
God’s Kingdom! I really want to see us not only
succeed but also thrive in the things of God both as a
church and as individuals. I want to see us fulfill our
mandates and most importantly glorify our Heavenly
Father.”
Bishop and Pastor Sebrena have a great love and respect for the gifts that God has given them by way of people and
position. They appreciate the mandates as well as the responsibilities of being our shepherds. We are never far from
their thoughts and always in their hearts. Thank you Bishop and Pastor for being exceptional examples of Servant –
Leaders. Happy Anniversary, we love you!

Stress is usually not something we have to be reminded
about. We know it is there. However, taking a step back
and acknowledging the stress (or its impact) is a healthy
habit to form. With this knowledge, we can figure out
ways to reduce the effects. But knowing where to look
for helpful resources can be stressful itself.
2. Get Moving
Yep, by just moving you are relieving stress, and regular
exercise will help your body in more ways than one.
With physical activity you increase your feel-good endorphins and these enhance your overall sense of wellbeing. By getting up and moving, you increase mental
focus and you are giving yourself permission to let that
stress go while you exercise.
3. Laughter is Good Medicine
Humor can help melt away stress and bring a positive
vibe to your day. Laughter actually helps to cool down
your stress response. So read some jokes (endless supply online), go to a comedy club, or watch a funny
movie with friends.
4. Get Connected
You may typically be a social butterfly, but stress can
make the most friendly person want to wrap themselves
up in a cocoon. If you feel like this is your reaction to
stress, take a moment to give a friend a call or schedule
a time to meet with someone you can talk to. Often if
we just get out and escape the stress for a bit, we can
come back to it and be in a better state-of-mind to deal
with it.
This is why the Health Resource Network (HRN), a
non-profit health education organization, has annually
sponsored National Stress Awareness Month for the
past 22 years. The month of April has been set aside so
health care professionals can use this focused opportunity to educate and increase awareness about today’s
modern stress epidemic. Yes, we use the word epidemic,

1. Just Breath
Sounds simple enough, but it is surprising how often we
are constricting our oxygen intake with shallow breathing. When you feel stress creep in or begin to feel

Sister Act – Rated PG
Apr 1 – 24, 2016
Titusville Playhouse
301 Julia Street
"Sister Act" is the feel-amazing
musical comedy smash based
on the hit 1992 film that will
have you jumping to your feet!
When disco diva Deloris Van
Cartier witnesses a murder, she
is put in protective custody in
the one place the cops are sure she won’t be found: a convent! Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both
the rigid lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior. Using her
unique personality and singing talent to inspire the choir,
Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but
blows her cover. Soon, the gang is giving chase only to find
them up against Deloris and the power of her newly found
sisterhood. Filled with powerful music, outrageous dancing
and a truly moving story, Sister Act will leave audiences
breathless. A sparkling tribute to the universal power of
friendship, "Sister Act" is reason to REJOICE! $20-$26.

Pray
What does the message of salvation mean to you?
God wants us to share that message with others so they,
too, will have the blessings of life here on earth and in
heaven with Jesus Christ. Read these well-known passages
and discuss what they say to believers: Matthew 28:19,
20; Mark 16:15-16; John 3:16-17
Gracious Father, we praise Your name for all the gifts and
blessings You have bestowed on us. Most especially do we
thank You for the gift of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
May our response to His love be an ever-increasing love for
others. Make us aware of opportunities to share that love
by reaching out to those who do not profess Jesus as Lord
and Savior. In His name, Amen.
Let the Results be Up to God
We sow the seed; God gives the increase!
