The 5 advantages of Durelis
1. Versatile
As a price-conscious alternative to OSB/3 boards,
Durelis is suitable for a wide range of applications.
Durelis can be used a stuctural building board
in both traditional home building and timber
constructions. Durelis’ reliability is also brought
home in interior applications.
2. Proven reliability
The moisture-resistant Durelis building board is
the ideal solution for applications in demanding
environments with high air humidity levels. The unique composition and finish ensure that
swelling and linear expansion are limited.
3. An environmentally- friendly solution
The Unilin Panels building boards are an environmentally-responsible choice. In the production
of Durelis, Unilin Panels uses up to 80% recycled
wood, supplemented with wood from local forestry.
Wood is not only a natural product, forests also
contribute to the storage and processing of carbon.
Thanks to a careful production process, driven by our own biomass plant, our building boards are carbon neutral.
4. In accordance with strict
standards
The Durelis building boards meet all common
national and international standards. These
certificates form your quality guarantee and
underline the sustainable production that Unilin stands for:
•

5. Various finishes
Durelis is available in various sizes and different
finishes so we can always offer you the best
solutions for your product.
TopFinish
A TopFinish creates a hard, smooth surface that
is easy to clean and is a genuine advantage in
structural construction applications. This gives the board a higher density and, in contrast with
most OSB/3 boards, it is guaranteed airtight (n50 < 0,002/h/m2). A higher concentration
of n
atural paraffin on the surface provides an
additional m
 oisture-resistant effect.
T&G
Tongue and groove joint
In addition to a straight-edged finish, you can
also opt for a tongue and groove joint on two or
four sides of the board. This sturdy, shockproof
system allows Durelis to be assembled quickly and
easily. A neat groove creates a perfect c onnection
between the boards and facilitates invisible fixing.
Sanded
A sanded surface creates an elegant and smooth finish.
This makes the Durelis building board suitable for more
delicate, non-structural, interior applications.

Other Durelis solutions
Durelis VapourBlock
Durelis is available with a VapourBlock coating
that makes the building board extra airtight
and v apour-resistant. This industrially applied
vapour barrier gives the Durelis building boards
a consistent and high -value across their whole
surface (vapour diffusion resistance). This is in
contrast to traditional wood panelling, which has a
significantly lower and much more variable -value.
Durelis StormBlock
Custom sizes and thicknesses make Durelis building
boards suitable for structural applications such as
cladding on the exterior of buildings and walls on
timber frames.
Using Durelis VapourBlock on the inside of a
building offers the advantage of creating an air
barrier, vapour barrier and wall with just one panel.
Durelis Antitermite
Termites and other wood-devouring insects can
be a nuisance for any building project. With an
anti-termite treatment, you can protect your
Durelis building boards against this pest. Durelis
boards with anti-termite treatment meet the strict
standards of the French Institut Technologique
Forêt Cellulose Bois-construction Ameublement
(FCBA) and are also CTB B+ certified.
