Avenue J Studios and Waubonsee Community College present the
Inaugural Community Theatre Production of Seussical
AUDITION INFORMATION
Description:
The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing
Whos, including Jojo, a Who child sent off to military school for thinking too many "thinks." Horton
faces a double challenge--not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers,
but he must guard an abandoned egg, left to his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although
Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping, and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in
him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family, and community are challenged and emerge
triumphant.
All Auditions will be at Waubonsee Community College, 47 @ Waubonsee Drive, Sugar Grove, IL

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
AVENUE J STUDIOS ANNOUNCES VOICE AND PIANO LESSONS!
Avenue J Studios is pleased to announce the addition of voice and piano lessons at our soon-to-be home
in North Aurora!
Statistics have long shown the educational and developmental benefits of music on today’s youth. But
perhaps Plato said it best: “Music gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination,
a charm to sadness, gaiety and life to everything. It is the essence of order and lends to all that is good
and just and beautiful.”
With Avenue J Studios’ move to its new location at 210 Genesis Drive in North Aurora, students now have
the option of registering for private piano and voice lessons with one of four area professionals! The
studio boasts two music rooms in addition to the performing arts studio! Lessons are available for all ages
and experiences.
Sign up before November 1st and take advantage of our move-in special. For the month of November, 30minute lessons are just $15, a savings of $10! For more information or to schedule your lesson time,
please visit our website at www.avenuejstudios.org or contact us as [email protected].
Avenue J Studios is a registered non-profit organization in the state of Illinois dedicated to promoting social
responsibility and awareness through performing arts programs and education. Avenue J’s goal is to inspire young
people to make a difference through empathy, kindness, acceptance, and compassion.
