music fans. And it’s all easily
accessible because you don’t
have to walk miles from your car
to get to the music. This is a local
festival with a big atmosphere,
bringing visitors to this historic
and picturesque gem in the
Norfolk countryside.
Admission to the Sunday event
is free to Saturday ticket holders.
You can make a full festival
weekend of it by staying at the

Ex Simple Minds (XSM)
After a highly successful career
as two of the original members
of one of the biggest Scottish
bands, Simple Minds, exmembers Derek Forbes and Brian
McGee formed the partnership
they shared in the 1980s, this
time under the name Ex-Simple
Minds (XSM). Joined by Owen
Paul, the show is a nostalgic trip
back to the seminal days of one
of the Worlds greatest bands
... Simple Minds, with the band
playing to packed venues across
the UK and in Europe, performing
the classic hit songs including
(Don’t you) Forget About Me,
Alive and Kicking, Glittering Prize
and Love Song.
limehouse lizzy
An action-packed explosion of a show, Limehouse Lizzy keep the
spirit of Celtic rock band Thin Lizzy alive, well and dominating stages
worldwide.
The band’s European tour celebrates the legacy of the hard-living,
hard-rocking, yet at times surprisingly tender artist that was Phil Lynott.
Expect all the classic tracks such as ‘The Boys are Back in Town’,
’Sarah’ and many others we’ve come to expect from one of the most
highly rated acts on the circuit today.

mick
thomas
Mick Thomas is critically
acclaimed as one of Australia’s
greatest singer-songwriters.
His rise to fame began as leader
of classic 80s folk-rock band
Weddings Parties Anything,
touring relentlessly and finding
fame in Canada and America.
After reconvening with long
time musical cohort Mark
‘Squeezebox’ Wally, 2011
proved a bumper year for Mick
- completing a fantastic tour
of Canada, and a new album
recorded in Portland, Oregon

Main s
Mick Thomas has some
secret magic in that he writes
great songs that make you say
“Why didn’t I think of that?” He
writes about mates, ratbags,
races, places, weddings, parties,
funny stuff - anything - but
essentially Mick is an Australian
legend who can roll up to any
stage and make it the centre of
the universe to any audience.
He will talk the leg off an old chair
and play the arse off a guitar,
sweat the shirt off his back and
lay you in the aisles.

You loved them... You yelled for
more... You asked us to get them
back...
Formed in the late seventies,
this hard rocking band have
been thrilling crowds all over the
UK and Europe with their own
energetic brand of blues and
boogie. Over the years BJB
have built up a loyal following and
have received many great reviews
as well as acclaim from fellow
musicians.
They are one of the finest crowd
motivators in the country, with
the ability to take any size of
audience to a place where
enjoyment is an absolute must!
WELL THEY’RE BACK!!!

Maglia Rosa
The Maglia Rosa is the famous Pink Jersey
awarded to the leader at each successive
stage of the Giro d’Italia, the famous Italian
long-distance cycle race.
But it’s also the name of a fast-rising local
band, a quartet of friends who periodically get
together and wrestle with the pop form. With
Sam and Daisy both on guitars and vocals,
Matt on bass and Owen on drums, Maglia
Rosa deliver highly melodic and guitar-backed
pop in a sophisticated style.
They offer a helpful note on pronunciation
‘We’re from East Anglia so tend to say
‘Maglia’ with a hard ‘g’. However if you’re
of continental persuasion, or just feeling
a bit fancy, by all means go for the Italian
‘Maaahhhlia’. So now you know!
Randolph
and Byron
These artists have been receiving glowing
reviews for their recent shows together,
including performances at The Southbank
Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall and The Royal
Albert Hall. 2011 saw them release their
debut album In The Shadow Of Leaves which
has led to performances all over the country.
Both brought unique skills to a fusion of
Spanish acoustic guitar and African soul.
Randolph’s powerful yet tender vocal style
blends soul and folk music with elements of
neo African styles.
Solo guitarist Byron Johnston is a gifted
musician who has performed his fusion of
Mediterranean and Flamenco. He has been
a featured soloist at the International Guitar
Festival and London Guitar Festival following
the release of his album ‘Oceano’.
Nina Baker
Nina Baker’s inspirational blend of dulcet
tones and powerful delivery provide a listening
experience like no other. An eclectic mix of
pop, rock, acoustic, blues, folk, soul, country
and ragtime, are all bound together by her
intelligent song-writing, underlying piano riffs
and her haunting vocals.
2011 saw Nina achieve national recognition
with a nomination in the 2011 Exposure Music
Awards in the Blues/Jazz and Soul category.
This year she’s completed two studio albums
and a UK, European and US tour. Nina’s
second recording of 2012, recorded at the
world famous Rockfield Studios under the
stewardship of Nick Brine (Oasis, Stone
Roses, K T Tunstall, Bruce Springsteen) is
a full-blooded, uncompromising, big-scale
production and adds up to twelve tracks of
sensational energy and pure emotion.
Groovapolitan
Groovapolitan are a seriously talented funk /
jazz outfit fast gaining recognition in the area.
Based at the UEA’s School of Music, where
he is working towards a Master’s Degree in
Orchestral Conducting, front man and bass
player Dario Salvi is too modest to mention
that he has served as conductor of Fanfara
Tridentina, the orchestra of the Italian Alpine
Regiment and also toured Europe and the
USA with highly-regarded jazz/funk/Latin
singers Ginger Leigh and Patrice Pike.
The Ivan Wilson
Concept
The Ivan Wilson Concept are a five-piece from
Bury St Edmunds playing an eclectic mix of
Americana, Country & Western and whatever
80s British and American new wave has
influenced them. Songs of sex, death, sexy
death, and cowgirls. They are about to release
their debut album “Sexy Death and Cowgirls”.

The four-piece band play to a very high
standard, inspired by the likes of Booker T
& The MGs, The Meters, James Taylor Quartet
and Grover Washington.
James Bisgood
James Bisgood is a specialist early musician,
multi-instrumentalist, lecturer in early music,
with an international reputation as a maker of
reconstructed period string instruments. Well
known in the field of popular music of the 16th
and 17th centuries, his enthusiasm has led
him to research the period in great depth and
he lectures on early music for museums, clubs
and societies, schools and universities.
James has extensive experience in
providing music for film, TV, theatre and
radio, his credits including Peter Ackroyd’s
London, Adam Bede, L’Accompagnatrice,
Gormanghast, First Knight, Ivanhoe, Twelfth
Night, Titus Andronicus and Edward II at
Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.
We’re especially pleased to welcome James
back to Reepham – his last visit in 2009
proved extremely popular and festival-goers
are advised to secure themselves a seat in
good time for his performance.
BUZBY
Lewis Lacey
Mucked Up funkies
Having mastered a range of guitar styles
during the past thirty-six years Buzby has
often been hailed as the finest acoustic
guitarist on our street. He remains, by choice,
local to Norfolk and after taking a break from
the public eye returns to perform some of his
past and present favourites.
Lewis Lacey is a 16 year old rap artist from
the East of England. After starting to write
lyrics in 2010 he decided to step up to the
mic. Having joined a circle of well established
MCs from the local area Lacey now works
alone on his own unique sound. He has now
performed at various venues around the
UK from clubs, theatres, shopping centres,
festivals and stadiums.
This year’s Cawston Battle of the Bands
Winners, Mucked Up Funkies are a funk-rock
band originally formed in the spring of 2009.
Inspired by many of the finest players on
the guitar scene Buzby will be performing
finger-twisting acoustic classics from the likes
of Tommy Emmanuel, Steve Howe, Steve
Hackett and Mike Oldfield and, if modesty
permits on this occasion, a couple of his
own tunes.
Don’t miss this rare opportunity to watch a
master of the acoustic guitar at work.
visit
As well as performing live on live radio,
including the BBC, Lacey was also a semifinalist of OpenMicUK, the biggest competition
in the UK for solo singers/rappers.
He now covers Underground Hiphop and
carries on his journey to perform that which
he feels expresses his emotions.
R12 Children’s FUN area!!!
MUF have a wide range of original material
and plan to expand beyond the local music
scene. They are also always looking to jam
and develop alongside others with a passion
for music.
Influences for the band have been:
Jimi Hendrix, Jamiroquai, Santana, Beatles,
Tower of Power, Stevie Wonder, Joe Satriani,
Beverley Knight, Amy Winehouse, David
Bowie, Frank Zappa, Sid and Sigala.

the dead
The Norfolk-based hard
rock / metal band formed
in 2009, when six friends
decided to make a band
so they could live out their
dream and passion. With influences including
Bring Me The Horizon, Bullet For My Valentine,
Men At Work and Jamiroqaui, and a string
of gigs under their belt, the band, the band
are currently working on their demo album
‘Behind Closed Eyes.’
Aviator
Xenia horne
A four piece high-energy Rock covers band
based in East Anglia. Aviator are just a bunch
of guys who really enjoy the music.
Following her graduation from the prestigious
Dartington College of Arts, Xenia worked as
a freelance theatre musician and orchestral
player. A founder member of Saxmundham
Music and Arts, Xenia has appeared on BBC
Songs of Praise, recorded at Blythburgh
Church, and recorded for a film production
of a Children’s Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Fast becoming one of the most exciting
bands on the East Coast with their energetic
style and great mix of old and modern Rock
classics. Playing covers from the 60’s to
the present day they have something for
everybody in the audience to enjoy. Add that
to the show on stage and you’ve got all the
ingredients for a party every time.
12
In 2004 Xenia worked with Aldeburgh Music
delivering a series of concerts in community
settings. She worked as Musical Director
and harpist for their production of James and
The Giant Peach with a cast of two hundred
children. As an outreach musician for the
Cambridge Music Festival, she enabled rural
communities to participate in high calibre
musical events. In 2009 Xenia composed and
recorded the music for a new radio production
of Hamlet and has been commissioned to
write, compose and perform musical plays
for children at Southwold Theatre.

Thomas will be making a rare UK appearance not once,
but twice.
There’s much more, with a special programme of music
at the ‘chill-out’ venue in St Michael’s church, including
