Location
The City of Airdrie is situated on Highway 2 (CANAMEX Corridor linking
Canada, the U.S. and Mexico), 20 minutes north of downtown Calgary,
with 15 minute access to both the Calgary International Airport and
Highway 1 (TransCanada). The City also has 5 minute access to the
recently completed northern portion of the Stoney Trail Ring Road that
will eventually loop north/south around the east side of Calgary.
Trade Area
Immediate area (general retail) - 70,000. Trading area within 50 square kms
(atmospheric retail, professional services, tourism visitation) exceeds
1.4 million consumers.
Utilities
Electricity/Natural Gas are deregulated in Alberta. There are a number of
energy retailers in Alberta offering a variety of pricing plans and contract
packages. Customers who do not sign a contract for natural gas or electricity
