STEEPED IN HISTORY
Adare Manor is a magnificent stately manor designed by architect
James Pain in 1830 as a residence for the Earl of Dunraven and set on
beautifully maintained grounds, including formal and lawned gardens.
This unique work of architecture was constructed as a Calendar House
with 365 stained glass windows and 52 chimneys.
Following the purchase of the manor by the Kane family a sympathetic
programme of restoration, refurbishment and extension to a hotel was
undertaken. This development retained and enhanced every authentic
detail and preserved the unique character and personality of Adare
Manor.
The fusion of original features and the requirements of a discerning hotel

experience. The Minstrels’ Gallery has a capacity for up to 200 guests.

FORMAL GARDENS
The Manor House overlooks the superbly maintained gardens which are
bordered by the River Maigue and designed in a formal French style.
The gardens are laid out in a perfect axial symmetry. Overlooking the
gardens is the feature Cedar of Lebanon tree which was planted in 1645.

This challenging championship golf course in a unique resort setting
was the last course designed and built by Robert Trent Jones Senior who
has created a beautiful course sculpted into the mature landscape of this
historic estate.
The course is characterised by magnificent mature trees, its winding rock
walled stream and undulating greens.
The course which plays up to 7,453 yards has hosted many internationally
acclaimed events including two Irish Opens in 2007 and 2008 and the
JP McManus Invitational Pro Am in 2005 and 2010.
There is an extensive, purpose built clubhouse incorporating a Pro Shop,
ladies and gents locker rooms and dining facilities.
Adare Manor includes a 15m heated swimming pool, fitness room and a
variety of leisure pursuits on the grounds including fishing on the River
Maigue, Falconry, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Archery and Horse Riding.
