BELVOIR CASTLE with its magical hill top setting in
rural Leicestershire is quite the most romantic place
for your memorable day. Our in-house team have
years of experience to ensure your guests enjoy the
regal, but relaxed, atmosphere of our family home.
While the Castle is gloriously romantic with
turrets, castellation, towers and flags, the
organisation of your wedding day is very
firmly set on the ground, and we can assist
with all the components that go towards
making a special day memorable.
A visit to Belvoir will enable you to fully
appreciate the magnificence of the location
and the grandeur of the Castle itself. There
can be few other locations in this country
which can compare.

situated within the Castle itself and
plays host to Church of England
ceremonies for those looking for a
traditional church wedding.
Ideal for an intimate ceremony the
Chapel holds 100 people.

THE GUARDROOM is the first room on entering the
Castle, with high ceilings and two large open fires it
makes an impressive room for a civil ceremony.
A dream entrance for any bride
…the long staircase descends through
two floors with the guests watching the
bridal party’s arrival in awe.
String quartets love the acoustics
of the room, and photographic
opportunities are endless. The
Guardroom comfortably seats up
to 100 guests.
THE BALLROOM situated on the first
floor has high ceilings and gothic
arches with stained glass windows.
The large chandeliers complement the
room, and a true ‘aisle’ feel can be achieved
here. It seats 130 guests for the ceremony
and is a favourite with Asian brides.
Following the ceremony a drinks reception
with canapés can take place in The
Guardroom, The Ballroom, The 40 Acre
Landing or in The Rose Garden if the
weather is fine.

A former hunting lodge, THE MANNERS ARMS in
the nearby village of Knipton is the Duke and
Duchess’ own country inn and is licensed for
wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships.
The Red Coat’s Restaurant is ideal for a smaller wedding
breakfast for up to 50 people. In the evening we have the
capacity for extra guests. For the best of both worlds
hold your wedding ceremony at the Castle and the
reception at The Manners Arms.
