ITINERARY - DAILY DEPARTURE FROM FEBRUARY 1ST TO NOVEMBER 15TH
Day 1 : Rome Arrival
Arrival in Rome and transfer by shuttle to the hotel (choice of 3* or 4* accommodation- please refer to the
next pages). Check in and time at leisure.
Day 2 : Rome – Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel Tour
Available from February 1st to March 31st and from Nov 1st to Nov 20th - every Monday – Friday
morning
Available from April 1st to October 31st every morning and afternoon except on Sunday and Catholic
holidays.
Discover the secrets of the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel by a regular tour. The coach tour
begins by passing through Piazza Della Repubblica to admire the Fountain of the Nayads, followed by the
ancient Aurelian walls which once surrounded by the ancient city. From the Piazza del Popolo you will see
an Egyptian obelisk dating back to the time of Ramses II. Finally , upon arrival at the Vatican Walls, your
guide will then lead you into the Vatican Museums by taking the beautiful Spiral staircase and continuing
through the Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Geographical Maps before arriving in the
famous Sistine Chapel** where you will admire its magnificent fresco of the last Judgment by
Michelangelo. End of the tour in the city centre (no drop off at the hotels) (see this tour Terms and
conditions p.6). In the afternoon, free time for optional city tours or rest of the day at leisure. (B)
Day 3: Rome
Day at leisure to attend one of the Events celebrated for the holy year. (B)
Day 4: Rome -Chrisian Rome Tour
Available from February 1st to March 31st and from Nov 1st to 20th - every Wednesday and Saturday
except March 17th and March 26th (Easter)
Available from April 1st to October 31st every Monday, Wednesday and Friday except on the date of the
Marathon in Rome (April 10th ) and Catholic holidays
Morning at leisure. In the afternoon you will join a regular tour for a visit of the Christian Rome. The first
stop of this coach and walking tour will be on the Esquiline Hill where our guide will show you some of
the treasures inside the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore. Then we will stop and see the Holy Staircase
and the Lateran Palace before visiting inside the Basilica of San Giovanni,** and the inside of the Cathedral
of Rome. Then we will proceed along the Ancient Appian Way, where you will pass by the Chapel of
Domine Quo Vadis before arriving at the Catacombs, the ancient underground cemeteries and first hiding
places for the Christians. A visit will be made to either, the Catacombs of St. Callisto, Santa Domitilla or
San Sebastiano depending upon seasonal conditions. The tour will end with a spectacular view of the
Baths of Emperor Caracalla. (see this tour Terms and conditions p.6). (B)
Day 5 : Rome
Day at leisure to attend one of the events celebrated for the holy year. (B)
Day 6 : Rome – End of the trip
After check out, transfer by shuttle to Rome airport (B)

Hotel 3* Siviglia
The Hotel Siviglia is located in a nice historical building, and has been recently renewed in the center of
Rome. This three stars Rome hotel has a very good position in the heart of Rome, very close to Repubblica
Square, where it's possible to admire the beautiful Naiadi's fountain, and Via Nazionale, one of the most
famous shopping streets of Rome. If you are looking for something relaxing Hotel Siviglia is the right
choice. Quiet and comfortable atmosphere.
The hotel is equipped for handicapped persons with an elevator and a special room. Bar opened to all
guests. A rich buffet breakfast is included in the price. The helpful and multilingual staff will be glad to
assist you in booking a car rental or tours or find public transportation nearby.

Hotel Ariston 4*
Hotel Ariston is located in the historical center of Rome, few meters from the Termini Station, near the
famous Santa Maria Maggiore, Coliseum, Fori Imperiali and Via Veneto, where the main ministerial offices
and foreign embassies are located.
The A and B metro stops of Termini are only 100 meters away from the Hotel. Thanks to its position, the
main spots of cultural interest can be reached on foot or by a short bus ride: the museums and churches
that this city offers, for example the Baths of Diocletian; the splendid park of Villa Borghese where the
famous Galleria Borghese is located filled with masterpieces; Via Veneto, Trevi Fountain, Piazza di
Spagna, Via Frattina and Via Condotti with its high fashion boutiques.boutiques.

Terms and conditions for the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel regular Join in Tour

Closing days of Museums: February 11th , March 19th, April 6th , May 1st , June 29th ,August 15th
Will not be possible to visit the Basilica during the religious holidays and ceremonies (audiences,
beatifications, Masses of the Pope)
The visit is not recommended for people with walking difficulties or young children
When the church is closed, as an alternative, the visit to the Vatican Museums will be extended.
