NATIONAL MS SOCIETY INTRODUCES THE
2013 MS LEADERS CIRCLE
The MS Leaders Circle recognizes professionals
who are committed to making a difference by
raising funds to help local people living with multiple
sclerosis (MS).
help local families with home maintenance such as
mowing lawns, cleaning out yards or painting.
Over the years, the program has raised more than $2
million for local services and research into the cause
and cure for MS -- a chronic, often disabling disease
of the central nervous system that disrupts careers,
families and, ultimately, lives.
In addition to fundraising, Leaders Circle members
donated their time and expertise by providing free
legal and financial counseling and teamed up to

The group was led in fundraising by Eric Kennedy
of Overbrook Golf Club, who raised nearly $35,000.
We thank all the members of the 2013 MS Leaders
Circle for helping create a world free of MS. Still, the
14,000 local people living with MS need your help.
We are still accepting donations for this year’s

Multiple sclerosis. It’s a chronic disease of the central nervous system with
no known cause or cure. It can cause fatigue, numbness, paralysis...and the worst
part is, you just don’t know what’s going to happen next.
In addition to funding more MS research than any other non-profit in the world, the
staff and volunteers of the National MS Society are committed to doing whatever
we can to help people living with MS achieve the highest quality of life possible.
HOW WE
HELP
Daily life: By connecting with a self-help group,
finding a care manager, offering employment
services or working with you to make your home
more accessible, we can help you face the many
different day-to-day challenges of MS.
The information you need: Through workshops,
our call center, the Society web site, e-newsletter
and various publications, we provide the
information you need, when you need it.
Caring for caregivers: MS affects every family
member, especially those closest to the person
living with the disease; that’s why we provide
respite assistance, counseling services and family
programs.
Crisis assistance: The unpredictable nature
of MS means you may find yourself in a crisis
with nowhere else to turn. We can connect you
with community resources or provide emergency
help for utility payments, household repairs,
transportation to medical appointments and
beyond.
