Promoting Responsible Drinking
For the third consecutive year, on September 21, 2012, Global “Be(er) Responsible
Day,” was held, which mobilized 350 employees across the country with the
purpose of visiting more than 4,000 outlets to help prevent the sale of alcohol
to minors.
In 2012, we also distributed 30,000 guides for parents, which are designed to
encourage dialogue between children and their parents about key issues, including
alcohol consumption in the family, in order to help prevent underage drinking.
In October, 1,000 underage students participated in trainings by professionals
about alcohol’s effects, the consequences of underage drinking and responsible

consumption when of legal age. In addition, we organized training workshops for
more than 500 bartenders in two of our key cities to help ensure that people who sell
our products do so responsibly.
More than 1 million people received the message of the campaign “Be a responsible
driver,” which was developed in partnership with the National Traffic Police. The
online interactive course was posted on CBN’s web page and Facebook. The course
was designed with experts in the areas of traffic education and drunk-driving
prevention. It is the first ever traffic education course through the web and social
networks in Bolivia.

»» Reduced our water usage per hectoliter by 9.8 percent, a 30.8 percent
improvement compared to 2009

Community
In 2012, Cervecería Boliviana Nacional invested more than 1.2 million USD
in our social responsibility programs. This is direct cash and some non-cash
contributions. Our community donations were connected to our strategic
business objectives. In 2012, we signed an agreement between CBN and the
Bolivian government called “Together for Bolivia,” which is a cooperation platform
to support sports and athletes. The cooperation agreement comprises three
pillars: building soccer fields; sponsoring 10 athletes aiming to obtain the first
Olympic medal for Bolivia in Rio 2016; and sponsoring the Student Olympic
Games in Bolivia. Implementing the activities defined under the agreement has
allowed company executives to engage with key stakeholders in Bolivia.
Outlook for 2013
Our plan for 2013 is to continue supporting our Better World actions. For our
Responsible Drinking pillar, we will maintain our programs to promote the
responsible sale and consumpution of our products to help reduce sales to
minors and abusive drinking. We are committed to our Community pillar in which
we´ll continue to create new ways to increase and strengthen our relationships
with key stakeholders.
“The Government congratulates CBN for their social responsibility (…)”
Evo Morales, President of Bolivia
