Where We re Coming
From:
Meeting of the minds in 2011
Compete, or not to
ompete? That’s not the
estion.
mpetition - Challenges students to be the best
ds students accountable for developing their
formance in a non bias and highly competitive
vironment
olves a high level of commitment and skill to
ieve the goals of the ensemble at a state level
courages: Pride, Precision, Excellence
Drawbacks -
Cost
Time Commitment
Sports / Outside activities conflicts
on - Competition
Instills a desire for the student to be “their” best. Not “the”
best
Encourages : “Pride” “Spirit” “Confidence” and “Excellence”
Flexibility in performance schedule
Volume of literature is increased and varied thru out the
season
Everyone has a spot. - The only Prerequisite is a willingness
to participate
Drawbacks
Students that would like the challenge of
competition do not have the opportunity
Due to the volume of students there is limited time
where they are all in the same place at the same
time
Students ARE the
center of all we do!

We have been working with DeMoulin Uniforms
and one of 4 designers Rob Depp on the design.
We sent him colors / clip art and the Logo
information for the Hawks this past summer/fall
We were given 3 base designs and after some
review and adjustment we have come to the
following design for the Main Uniform
We have been asked to have a “Final” design by
