Reliably open your Nordic Center with as little as
50 hours of snowmaking
The Super Blizzard is a
portable, self contained
snowmaking system that
allows you to make snow
at a high capacity without
the prohibitive upfront
capital cost associated
with conventional
snowmaking systems.
This machine is for the
serious snowmaker with a
real job to do!
The Super Blizzard
converts between 17 and
35 gallons per minute of
water into snow using the
same patented "HKD"
snowmaking technology
developed by Snow
Economics, Inc. and used
by ski resorts around the
world.
Ski resorts rely on our technology to get open and to maintain a quality
snow surface on their trails throughout the winter. Now you can too, with
the portability and economy that you require.
The machine is efficiently laid out in the protected environment of a 6' x 10'
enclosed trailer, road ready with ball hitch. This allows for easy transport to
and from the action.
The Super Blizzard comes equipped with a high quality electric power plant including a 10 HP Hydro-vein Air
Compressor and 20 HP Water Pump. All components are designed for the long haul, capable of running
uninterrupted for days at a time.
The Snow Tower which is sled mounted is fed by 100 foot long snowmaking
hoses which are included to keep trailer moving to a minimum. Additional hose
can be added to stretch the coverage capability of the machine.
Pull the trailer within 50 feet of a pond, stream, or hydrant
then hook up the hoses and start making snow!
At temperatures below 28 degrees F, the Super Blizzard will make enough snow
to cover a kilometer of trail, 12 feet wide with 6” of snow in approximately 50
hours of snowmaking. Alternatively, in the same time frame, the machine could
cover an open teaching or training area of approximately 2 acres with 6” of snow.
