CORPORATE PROFILE
Listed on the Main Board of Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (“SGX-ST”) on 27 July
2012, A-HTRUST is one of the first hospitality trusts to focus primarily on the pan-Asian+ region.
It is a stapled group comprising Ascendas Hospitality Real Estate Investment Trust (“A-HREIT”)
and Ascendas Hospitality Business Trust (“A-HBT”).
A-HTRUST was established with the principal investment strategy of investing, directly or
indirectly, in a diversified portfolio of income-producing real estate used predominantly for
hospitality purposes, located across Asia, Australia and New Zealand as well as real estate-related
assets in connection with the foregoing.
STRATEGY
Acquisition Growth Strategy
A-HTRUST’s portfolio comprises 11 hotels with over 3,900 rooms geographically diversified
across key cities in Australia, China, Japan and Singapore; and located close to central business
districts and conference centres as well as iconic tourist landmarks. These hotels are Pullman
Sydney Hyde Park, Novotel Sydney Central, Novotel Sydney Parramatta, Courtyard Marriott
Sydney, Pullman and Mercure Melbourne Albert Park, Pullman and Mercure Brisbane King
George Square, Pullman Cairns International, Novotel Beijing Sanyuan, Ibis Beijing Sanyuan,
Hotel Sunroute Ariake and B:Conte and Park Hotel Clarke Quay.
The Managers will source for and pursue attractive opportunities that meet their respective
investment criteria to enhance the returns to Stapled Securityholders and improve future
income and capital growth prospects of A-HTRUST.
Active Asset Management Strategy
The Managers will implement measures to improve the operational performance and maximise
the cash flow and value of the portfolio.
Capital and Risk Management Strategy
The Managers will employ a mix of debt and equity to finance acquisitions and execute interest
rate and currency hedging strategies to optimise risk-adjusted returns to Stapled
Securityholders.
Disciplined Development Strategy
The Managers will endeavour to selectively undertake certain hospitality and hospitality-related
development projects which have the potential to enhance the value of A-HTRUST’s portfolio.
